Diamond Notes is a weekly compilation of notes on North Carolina players from last week. Each week Coaches from across the state send in player notes and stats as the PBR staff is working to name a PBR Player of the Week. PBR scouts are also compiling player notes from attended games, as well as box scores from across the state.
Below we take a look at some of the top performers from weeks 6 & 7 of the high school season as well as our NC Pitcher and Player of the Week.

+ In game one of the Mingo Bay Classic in Myrtle Beach v. the Robinson Rams (6A) from Fairfax Va. Peyton went the distance for the second straight game and carried a no hitter into the 5th.
+ On the year "PK" is 4-1, in 31IP, 10H, 7R, 3ER, 13BB, 52Ks, .677 ERA, .742 WHIP, and teams are batting a .094 against him.

+ GeSean opened up the Mingo Bay sending the first pitch of the game over the left field fence v. Robinson Va. And he picked up an RBI double in game 4 v. Asheville-on a ball that was over the fence in left center that CF Maybin reached across the fence and pulled back into prevent the HR. GeSean also played error free baseball for the week as well.
