Pinecrest silenced the Millbrook bats Monday in Raleigh in a season opening 8-0 win. Three Pinecrest pitchers combined for a 3 hit shutout. Pinecrest scored 3 runs in the 6th inning with RBI's from Bryant Kimbrell and Mitchell Baek. Pinecrest takes on Terry Sanford on Wednesday and Millbrook will travel to Corinth Holders.

East Carolina commit. 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Smooth fielding shortstop with plenty of range and quickness paired with a strong arm. Showed the arm, making several plays deep in the hole at short for putout. Balanced in the box. Strength present. Worked to all fields with strength. Impact player throughout this year and as he moves forward with his career.

Physical. Stands 6-foot-2, 215 pounds. Right handed hitter. Short compact swing showed big power driving in runs. Arm carried well and show agility in the field.

Noah Arnett, RHP, Pinecrest HS, 2023
Big, frame at 6-foot, 200 pounds with length present. High leg kick. Some effort in the arm working to a high-3/4 slot. Works with intent. Solid arm speed. Was around the zone, lacking pure feel for any one spot. Secondary stuff for strikes. Good presence on the mound, worked with some pace.
Hunter Huneycutt, CF, Pinecrest HS, 2023
Appalachian State commit. Muscular, athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds. Rangy centerfielder. Arm carries well and has accuracy. Switch hitter. Slightly open stance. Good rhythm with a soft load. Quick compact swing. Very patient, showing feel for the strike zone.
