2019 State Playoffs Notebook: 1st Rd Key Performances

With rain anticipated for some of the state on Friday, several games have been moved up for a Thursday start, as the 2nd round of the state playoffs will be under way. Several intriguing matchups highlight the slate of games on Thursday and Friday. Before we jump ahead too much, lets take a look back at Tuesday's action and some of the key performances that stood out from players across the state.
1st Round Key Performances
Trailing 6-4 in the bottom of the 7th, senior Nathan Ledford stepped to the plate with 2 outs as the potential winning run. In that moment, Ledford fulfilled a childhood dream for just about every baseball player everywhere. He drilled a 3-run HR over the left field wall for a walk-off HR.
