2019 PBR ProCase Evaluations: Catchers

Brandon Hall & Matt Payne
North Carolina Director of Scouting & PBR Assoc Scout

Sunday February 10th saw 25 of the top players in the 2019 and 2020 classes in North Carolina converge on Kernersville, NC and the Diamond Xtreme athletics facility.  In front of over 25 professional scouts, each player had his chance to show his skills in the pro-style workout.

By any measure, the 2019 ProCase was a huge success for all involved.  We begin the evaluations of the players with the three catchers in attendance.  Robbie O'Neal (C/INF, DH Conley, 2019) is a UNC Greensboro commit with athleticism and strength behind the dish and at the plate.  The switch-hitter was impressive throughout the day.  Bo Rusher III (C, Salisbury HS, 2019) is a Gardner Webb commit with length in the frame and power in his bat.  The lone junior behind the plate was East Carolina commit Joey Rezek (C, Northwest Guilford HS, 2020).  Rezek is an extremely advanced hitter who has made big strides in the last year defensively.

Below are the complete evaluations and video from each player's day at the PBR Procase.  We will continue posting the evaluations in the coming days of the top players in North Carolina who attended the prestigious PBR ProCase.
