Prep Baseball AAG Spotlight: OF Jacob Parker

MIAMI, FL - The second annual Prep Baseball All-American Game is set to take place at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins, in Miami, Florida on Saturday, September 14th. This year the top 2025's across the country will matchup with some of the top 2026's all in one spot.
For the 2024 Prep Baseball All-American Game, the state of Mississippi will have three players represent the 2025 Class. Today we will begin to spotlight those players as we lead up to the event.
First, we take a look at Mississippi State recruit and the No. 1 Player in the Mississippi 2025 Class, Jacob Parker.

Scouting Report
Positional Profile: CF/RHP
Body: 6-4, 195-pounds. Strong, athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Tall, athletic stance. Smooth, controlled load with small knee lift. Aggression into contact with launch in swing path. Quick hands and tons of pull side power.
Power: 97.2 max exit velocity, averaged 80.5 mph. 371’ max distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 87 mph. Long, quick arm action.
Defense: Solid footwork, fields the ball to the side out front. Strong, accurate arm.
Run: 7.05 runner in the 60.
Projectable 6-foot, 155-pound frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Began in an open wide stance, had a quick load and used a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Showed explosive bat speed and a flat swing plane, he ended his swing with extension on his finish. Gap to gap approach. From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 74 mph; has a fluid exchange and sure hands. Showed a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. He recorded a 60 time of 7.82 at the event.
