RAYMOND, MS - The Mississippi Summer ID was held on Saturday, August 17th at Hinds CC in Raymond, MS. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2025-2028 classes across various parts of Mississippi. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in a bullpen setting and were able to get numbers and metrics via TrackMan. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 5-9, 178-pounds. Proportional build
Delivery: Quick tempo down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T81, 79-80 mph. Good command. Mostly straight with some arm side run. T1947, 1919 average rpm.
CB: 71-71 mph. Good spin. Good 12-6 action. T1706, 1683 average rpm.

Delivery: Smooth tempo down the mound. Very repeatable delivery.

FB: T81, 76-79 mph. Good feel for the fastball. Plays in the zone well. Mostly straight.  T2154, 2063 average rpm.
SL: 66-67 mph. Tight spin. Developing command.  T2421, 2221 average rpm.
CH: 69-70 mph. Plus pitch. Mimics fastball with good drop.  T1792, 1748 average rpm.

Payne Henley, PISGAH HIGH SCHOOL (MS), 2026

Body: 5-7, 139-pounds. Slender frame
Delivery: Easy repeatable tempo with good direction down the mound. 
Arm Action: RH. Low 3/4 arm slot. 
FB: T80, 77-79 mph. Good pitch with arm side run.  T1962, 1887 average rpm.
CB: 63-64 mph. Tight movement. Good command.  T1755, 1689 average rpm.

Brady Holmes, Clinton (MS), 2027
