College coaches all around the country are, still, eagerly searching for talent to add to their 2018 recruiting classes. The PBR staff is constantly being questioned by coaches as to what talent is still available, and which players coaches need to go see. Today we highlight a group of unsigned senior that participated in the recent Preseason Prospect ID.

Alfred Barnes OF / RHP / Vicksburg, MS / 2018

Medium 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with athletic build. Right-handed hitter that starts from tall setup with hands starting at shoulder height and simple shift of weight loading. Quick choppy rhythm with pull side ground ball contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 77 mph. Defender with stabbie hands receiving, showing developing footwork, clean exchanges, and plays through the ball athletically producing a positional velocity of 78 mph.

Walker Beckham 1B / Neshoba Central, MS / 2018

Hulky 6-foot, 225-pound frame. Right-handed hitter that hits from a tall, open, relaxed setup with hand starting slightly above shoulders. Simple shift of weight loading with short stride and balanced throughout. Direct, flat, rotational path producing line drive contact and an exit velocity of 83 mph. Defensively moved with deliberate footwork as he work through the ball with clean exchange, throwing from a medium arm stroke that produced a positional velocity of 67.

Keonte Carter 1B / RHP / Terry , MS / 2018

Thick 5-foot-11, 205-pound frame. Right-handed hitter hitting from open, athletic setup with high hands. Smooth load, subtle leg lift, with short stride and rotational path, left-center field approach, slight uphill path with solid bat speed producing an exit velocity of 89 mph. Infielder work through balls well the smooth footwork into a medium arm stroke that produced an infield velocity of 74 mph. On the mound, Carter sat 79-80 mph with fastball that showed occasional arm side run.

Kylar Fielder 3B / 1B / West Lincoln, MS / 2018

Lean, athletic 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame with present strength in build. Right-handed hitter starting from balanced, athletic setup with hands starting above shoulder. Simple shift of weight loading as hands lower into firing position with flat path, working uphill through contact and stiffness posting an exit velocity of 90 mph. Defensively worked through ball with deliberate footwork in short ¾ arm stroke that produce a positional velocity of 74 mph.

Derral Lott Jr. OF / 2B / Mendenhall, MS / 2018

Medium build, right-handed hitter hits from athletic setup, with hands resting on shoulders working with a toe tap load. Stiff rhythm with rotational stroke and level path; produced exit velocity of 78 mph. Deliberate footwork with short, stiff arm stroke that produced a positional velocity of 70 mph

Rodricus Watkins OF / Wayne County, MS / 2018

Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with room for projection. Right-handed hitter that starts from tall setup with hands starting at shoulder height with bat waggle rhythm. Smooth, simple load working closed with short stride and balanced. Line-drive/ground ball contact and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 86 mph. Defender with receptive hands, showing fluid footwork, clean exchanges, and plays through the ball athletically producing an outfield velocity of 82 mph.
