Player Of The Week: RHP Trevor McDonald

2019 RHP Trevor McDonald (George County HS, MS) has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Mississippi Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance on the mound and at the plate.
The University of South Alabama signee struck out eleven hitters over five innings of work in his appearances this week versus Jackson Prep in front of 50 plus scouts. McDonald allowed just one hit and zero walks. At the plate, McDonald hit .545 while driving in eight runs and scored two more.
For his efforts, McDonald has been named the Prep Baseball Report Mississippi Player of the Week for the week of March 11 – March 17.

Scouting Report
3/15/19 South Alabama signee. Approximately 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, with a long-limbed, athletic frame. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a loose, clean arm swing, his fastball flashed life at 90-93 in the first. Settled in later in the outing working most 89-91 mph. He spun his curveball for strikes with at 76-78 mph, and a slider that had lateral sweeping action at 80-83 mph. Efficient in the zone with his fastball, locating to both sides of the plate to setup his breaking ball. Pitched five innings allowing one walk and one hit will striking out 12.
