The Prep Baseball Report Mississippi scouting staff recently sat down with Richland, uncommitted OF/RHP to discuss how his recruiting process is coming along. Below is a transcript of our question and answer session:

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
Windham: I’ve heard from Southwest CC, Mississippi Delta CC, and Holmes CC.

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?
Windham: I would say I’ve developed a relationship with Coach Hay from Southwest the most so far.

PBR: Have you taken any unofficial visits? If so, please describe each visit.
Windham: I’ve taken visits to both Southwest and Mississippi Delta. Both visits were really great experiences and fun getting to see both campuses as well meeting with both coaching staffs.

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?
Windham: As of right now I’m going to have another visit to Holmes sometime after Christmas Break and I am looking forward to the opportunity.

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?
Windham: Currently I have offers from both Southwest and Mississippi Delta. I feel as though I may receive more interest in the near future.

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your recruitment?
Windham: I think that I will finish my recruitment process sometime in the next few months, before the start of the season.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage?
Windham: Right now I wouldn’t say I have a favorite as all the colleges have many upsides to them and they are all great places to go and continue my baseball career.

 PBR: GPA/ACT?
Windham: I currently have a 4.0 GPA and a 29 on my ACT.

PBR: What showcases or events have been most meaningful to your recruitment thus far?
Windham: The event that has been the most meaningful to my recruitment is the PBR showcase at Jackson State. From this event I had three colleges show increased interest in me and it has greatly boosted my status as a recruit for college baseball.
