Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 10 (April 17-22).

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Luke Wood 3B / OF / Saltillo , MS / 2023 Wood had an amazing week picking up 12 hits in 15 at bats. The Itawamba CC recruit had 5 doubles for the Tigers and is now hitting .459 on the year.

MIZUNO Pitcher OF THE WEEK

Kamryn Carlisle RHP / Wayne Academy, MS / 2023 Carlisle was unhittable for 6 innings against 6A Oak Grove last week. The sidewinding East Central recruit finished the game with 7 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, and 14 punch outs.
