The 2018 high school regular season is wrapping up as playoff seeding begins to take shape. Yesterday, 2018 LHP/OF Ryan Jackson (Ridgeland) was named the Player of the Week for April 16th  – April 22th. We take a look at the other nominations sent in by coaches around the state in this week’s Diamond Notes.

+ Tucker Jones (Pearl) threw a no hitter in seven innings pitched allowing one HBP while striking out six.

+ Cole Melton (Ripley) went five for ten with three doubles, one home run and eight runs batted in. 

+ Micah Chillers (Southaven) went six for twelve with two walks, six runs scored with driving in six more. On the mound he threw one inning in relief recording two strikeouts.

+ Dylan Stroud (Enterprise) went 2-for-2 at the plate with a single and a double. On the mound he threw a no hitter while striking out seven and only allowing only three walks.

+ Alan Kivett, (Warren Central) on the mound worked for seven innings throwing 62% strikes allowing four hits, zero runs while striking out seven.
