Today we take a look several prospects that made their way into the updated list.
Austin Fugler RHP / OF / Enterprise, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 6
The left-hander works with a slowed, nearly segmented rhythm with high front knee as he comes to balance. The arm action is long from back-to-front working into a high-3/4 release. Commanded the zone with a 79-81 mph fastball that showed natural tailing action, while breaking ball ranged 66-68 mph showing early 1/5 shape with occassional depth. Works down mound with direction, landing closed at foot strike working around front side slightly off to third base side. |
Weston Fuller RHP / 1B / Lewisburg, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 34 / POS: 8
Sturdy 6-foot-1, 210-pound frame. Right-handed pitcher with long clean arm stroke into a high-¾ slot. Works with fluidness, balance, and rhythm in his delivery. He has a high balance point with direction to the plate. Lands slightly close and has a quick arm into an athletic finish, occassionally off to first base side. His fastball jumped out of his hand with angle and sink when down in the zone at 80-83 mph. Breaking ball had 11/5 shape at 65-66 mph, alson flashing a tighter spinning slider at 74-75. |
Dylan Fontan RHP / 1B / St. Patrick Catholic, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 9
Projectable 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. Right-handed pitcher throwing from high-¾ release, with solid balance, and easy effort in delivery. Fluid rhythm with deception in delivery, level shoulders, in-line direction and finishes athletically off to first base side. Fastball was commanded around the zone at 81-84 mph. Breaking ball showed occassional tightness with depth and 11/5-shape at 69-72 mph. Change up was thrown with fastball arm speed and showed slight fading action at 69-70 mph. Right-handed hitter starting from tall and stacked setup with hands starting at shoulder height. Simple rhythm and load working into balanced hitting position. Short path with loose, uphill finish that produced an exit velocity 86 mph. |
Byrion Robinson OF / LHP / Brookhaven, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 7
The athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a short, arm stroke, with athleticism is delivery. His fastball was 80-83 mph, topping out at 84 mph with natural arm side action and developing command of the zone. His curveball has big break and 1/7 shape at 70-72 mph, and 1/7 shape. Delivery has deception as he hides ball well, landing closed at foot strike working around front side off to third base side. Left-handed hitter that hits from balanced, athletic setup with a smooth load, short stride and solid balance. Line-drive/ gap-to-gap approach with simple rhythm, short path and feel to find barrel. |

Right-handed pitcher that works from a mid-¾ slot with a short arm stroke and athleticism. Good balance in his delivery, with rhythm, and slightly tilted shoulders. Lands in-line while finishing slightly off to first base side. Fastball sat 81-83 mph with command and arm side run in zone. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape with spin at 71-73 mph while flashing a tighter spinning slider at 76 mph. Change up had fading action with fastball arm speed at 71-72 mph. |
