2025 Uncommitted Spotlight: 3B/OF Tinnin Potts

With the summer coming to a close and we begin to transition to the fall with a brand-new school year, our focus is still on uncommitted prospects in the Classes of 2025 and 2026. As these prospects enter their final two years of high school, there are still many talented upperclassmen still on the market that may have been "overlooked" or are currently "flying under the radar" and looking for a place to play at the next level.

Tinnin Potts, CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL (MS), 2025
Positional Profile: 3B/OF
Body: 6-0, 190-pounds. Compact, athletic frame with strength in the lower half.
Hit: RHH. Slightly crouched, relaxed stance, prototypical handset. Slight kick to load, hands stay inside the ball. Middle-of-the-field approach handled balls in all zones.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 82.3 mph. 309' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-81 mph. OF-80 mph. Stiff arm from a high 3/4 arm slot.
Defense: Showcased in the OF and IF, athletic footwork, smooth transfers with developing arm talent. Reliable glove at both positions.
ATH: 7.34 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: 3B/OF
Body: 5-9, 178-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Balanced stance with high hand set. Easy load and stride. Level bat path through the zone. Looks to drive the ball up the middle. 72.5 mph bat speed with 20 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 max exit velocity, averaged 92.5 mph. 367' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-76 mph. Quick, loose arm action
Defense: Solid glove in the infield. Good footwork as well. Clean transfers on throws to 1st.
ATH: 7.34 runner in the 60. 1.75 and 4.13 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Power: 100 max exit velocity, averaged 88.0 mph. 365' max distance.

Defense: Moves well laterally and worked well though the ball in front.
