Missouri 2025 Rankings: Update
August 28, 2024
With the summer coming to a close, and the fall set to start shortly, the Prep Baseball Missouri staff has once again updated the state’s 2025 rankings. Our expansive knowledge of the state’s incoming senior class has only grown since our last update, with a full summer circuit of showcases, tournaments, and more under our belt.

Below we’ve detailed this update at a more in-depth level, shining some light on the top of the board, as well as a more overarching look at the class as a whole, which you can find by reading below.
THE TOP 10
+ It’s relatively status quo at the top of our board, without much movement inside the top-10, outside of a few shuffles in the order. INF Caeden Cloud (Nixa; Kentucky commit), who’s coming off a huge summer, bumps up one spot, while OF Chase Porter (Kearney; Louisville) and RHP Drake Gawer (Sullivan; Texas Tech) each rise one tick, too.
2025 SS Caeden Cloud caps off a 3-for-3 day as he burns the LF for an RBI. 90 off the bat.

Loose hands through the zone with obvious feel for the barrel.

ACROSS THE STATE…
+ LHP Ethan Rogers (Lone Jack; Wichita State) is the top southpaw in the class and is a name that offers all sorts of upside on a lean, lanky 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame. After dominating for the Mules in the spring, Rogers ran his fastball up to 92 mph this summer, pitching in the upper-80s, and spinning a sharp mid-to-upper-70s breaking ball that offers swing-and-miss upside.

Was dominant again tonight tossing 6 shutout inn, allowing just 1H, 3BB, and punching out 14.
One of the top K/9 in the state thanks to one of the best left-handed curveballs in the region.

+ The top newcomer in this update is INF 6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed hitting INF Will Geary (Valley Park, 2025), who recently committed to Lindenwood and is slotted at No. 35 overall.
+ OF Peyton Kight (Jackson; Bradley), C Cal Leighton (Westminster Christian; Bradley), RHP Dennis Leonard (Grain Valley), and C Brady Vessells (Seckman) were all standouts in front of our staff this summer, rising up our board as a result. Leonard and Vessells are amongst the top uncommitted seniors in the state.

+ LHP Ty Earwood (St. Pius X; Southeast Missouri State) and LHP Jake Riggin (Lee’s Summit West; Arkansas State) are a pair of southpaws from the Kansas City area that recently committed to Division I programs and recently climbed up our rankings.
UNCOMMITTED SUMMER STANDOUTS
These are some of the top uncommitted prospects in the state’s 2025 class that popped in our looks throughout the summer, whether in a showcase setting, or at the ballpark.
