On Monday, February 15, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Preseason All-State East Showcase at All-Star Performance in St. Louis, Mo.
Nearly 60 players from 2017 class participated with another 10-plus from the 2018 and 2019 class. Profiles have been updated with profile picture, stats and video. In days to come, we will break down each position, taking a look at the middle infielders performances today. Middle Infielders are listed alphabetically.

Jordan Ball, SS, Troy Buchanon, 2017
Ball is a 5-foot-10 155-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.39 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 76 mph. At the plate, starts in a closed stance, short stride, level path through hitting zone, pull side line drives, smooth rhythm. On the infield, has a 68 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, long arm circle, fluid footwork with clean exchange, accurate throw.
Cameron Beck, SS, Festus, 2017
Beck is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.71 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, starts in open stance, stride is slightly closed, level path, mostly line drives to pull side of the field, free and loose hands, power potential. On the infield, 82 mph positional velo, over the top release with accurate throws, quick exchange, hands work with feet.
Cody Boatwright, 2B, Francis Howell Central, 2017
Boatwright is a 5-foot-6 130-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 4.38 home to first and has a 72 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts slightly open on front foot, reverse toe tap, in-line stride, smooth hand load, line drives to middle of field, balanced finish. On the infield, 73 mph positional velo,
James Bradley Jr., 2B, Lafayette, 2017
Bradyley is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.44 home-to-first and has a 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, minimal load, level path through hitting zone, middle approach, body under control. On the infield, 67 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, arm works, quick exchange and throw, mostly accurate throws.
Tyler Cason, 2B, Cuba, 2017
Cason is a 5-foot-9 170-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.72 home-to-first and has a 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, gap-to-gap approach, open stance, in line stride, body under control. On the infield, over the top release, long arm circle, fluid exchange and footwork.
Jake Currier, SS, Francis Howell Central, 2017
Currier is a 5-foot-9 125-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.21 home to first and has an exit velo of 87 mph. At the plate, open set up, leg kick, most pull with some pop. On the infield, high three quarters release, quick footwork, clean glove to hand transfer, quick release, mostly accurate throws, 67 mph positional velo.
Dominic Cusumano, SS, Westminster Christian, 2017
Cusumano is a 5-foot-10 162-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.19 home-to-first and has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, short in-line stride, gap-to-gap approach, drives ball to pull gap, level path to extension. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, over the top release, athletic footwork, quick catch and throw, soft hands, mostly accurate throws.

Ditto is a 5-foot-9 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.08 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 79 mph. At the plate, repeatable swing, minimal load, short stride, smooth rhythm, bat path works to top of ball, mostly middle to pull line drives. Eckman is a 5-foot-9 172-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.37 home to first and has an exit velo of 87 mph. At the plate, athletic stance, repeatable and simple, short stride, level though zone, gap-to-gap approach. On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick transfer, soft hands, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.
William Hantack, SS, Francis Howell Central, 2017
Hantack is a 6-foot-2 165-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.62 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, drove the ball to both gaps, athletic set up, accelerated rhythm, short stride, quick hands. Harrell is a 5-foot-10 192-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2017 class. He ran a 4.58 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 78 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, hands walk away from stride to load, mostly pull side line drives, balanced finish. On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fluid footwork and exchange, mostly accurate throws.
Alexander Hoff, SS, St. Dominic, 2017
Hoff is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2017 class. He has an exit velo of 84 mph and ran a 4.08 home-to-first. Maupin is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri’s 2018 class. Her ran a 4.83 home to first and has an exit velo of 75 mph.
