He recently attended the Class of 2016 Games in St. Louis on June 9 and will be playing for Prodigy Baseball Academy this summer.  McCallister has giving us some insight into his recruiting process.  Here is a look at what he has going on.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

I have not decided what I want to study but I am thinking about business, sports management, athletic training, or pre-law.

PBR: Recap your junior season for us at Staley.  Name some players that played a key role for Staley in 2015.

We had a great season. We won districts, sectionals, semi-finals and then traveled to St. Louis as part if final 4 teams. We made it to the Championship where we lost against a very strong team from CBC. Players that played key roles all season included Jack Duffy, Ross Messina, Sean Cooley, Hunter Swift, & Conrad McMahon.

PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

We will have a strong team again. We have a great coaching staff. We hope to return to St.Louis next year for the State Championship.

PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

I play for Prodigy Baseball Academy. Our coach is Michael Younghanz. I will play fall ball with Prodigy. We have had a strong summer season starting at the University of Memphis. I was named MVP in the Championship game against the Dulin Dodgers. We have a great summer team with Joe Kinder, John Bastrache, Matt Garstner, Tom Connor, Dylan Deeney, Payton Toliver, Ward Mershon, Connor Merchand, Conner Creekmore, Trevor Wetzel, Chris Kaufman.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

I have played football and basketball but I am concentrating on baseball now.

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

I have earned 2 academic letters and maintained a 3.5 or better every semester while taking Honors and AP classes. I will take the ACT in September.
