December 21, 2014
Shon Plack
Missouri Scouting Director
Jacob Pfender is a solid 6-foot-2, 210-pound outfielder. Pfender showed aggressive actions getting to the ball and showed good arm strength with an 82 MPH positional velo with very accurate throws. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and has a quick hand-to-glove exchange. Offensively, he has a gap-to-gap approach with a level swing path. He has a simple load and gets good bat speed to extension. Pfender has an exit velo of 82 MPH and runs a 4.33 home-to-first.
Pfender will anchor down the explosive Staley offensive in 2015, missing the Missouri Class 5 Final Four by just one game a season ago. He earned First Team All-Conference and Academic All-State Awards as a junior. He carries a 4.0 GPA and will graduate in the top ten percent of his class.
Below is a look inside the recruiting process of Jacob Pfender.

Pfender: Offer from Missouri Western, informal offer from Truman State, interest from Brown, Lindenwood and Shenandoah University
