Trey Nichols (Bowling Green, 2017) is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher from Bowling Green HS in the St. Louis area.  In June, he attended the Class of 2017 Games.

At the plate, he has a tall stance and minimal load.  Nichols has an in line stride and his swing produced line drives to middle and pull side of field during batting practice.

Behind the plate, he produced pop times between 1.91 and 2.00, which was the top pop time of the event during the catcher evaluations.  Nichols has an 80 mph positional velo, top velo among catchers for the Class of 2017 Games, and an over the top release.  He plays through the catch with quick feet and throws have carry to the bag.  He also showed good instincts during game action.
