Here's a look at the NCAA Div. II schools in the state and who they have signed.
Central Missouri
Ross Juliana (LIberty) is a 6-foot-2 165-pound RHP. Currently, Juliana is ranked #26 in the state. He helped the Liberty Blue Jays to an 18-8 record in 2013, with an appearance in the District Championship. He has good feel for the three pitches in the strike-zone, a fastball at 85 MPH. He also has a sharp, late breaking 11-to-5 breaking ball (70-72 mph) and a 71-73 mph change up with arm side run and consistently down in the zone. John Oliver (Staley) a 6-foot-2 180-pound infielder and ranked #63 in Missouri. Oliver was First-Team All-State selection as an infielder in 2013. Offensively, Oliver has good rhythm and a level, line drive producing swing with the ability to hit the ball to all fields.UCM also signed Connor Bosworth (Park Hill) a 5-foot-11, 175-pound RHP.
Drury
Austin Simms (Blue Springs South) is a 6-foot-3 215-pound RHP. Simms led the Jaguars to the state quarterfinals in Missouri Class 5 and a 14-8 record. As a junior, he was 4-2 with a 2.84 ERA and was named first-team all-district and all-state academic. Ryan Wadkins (Kearney) is a 5-foot-11 160-pound OF/RHP. Wadkins is a highly projectable player with plus arm. Last season he batted .350 with a slugging percentage of .420 for the Bulldogs. He played for the Kansas City Royals Senior Scout team this fall. The Panthers also signed Tristan Johnson (Marquette) a 6-foot-2 180-pound OF. Johnson's role will increase in 2014 for the Mustangs, who were 19-6 a season ago.
Lindenwood
Drew Quinones (Fort Zumwalt South) a 6-foot-2, 185-pound middle-infielder and currently ranked #52 in the state. Quinones led the Bulldogs with a .424 batting average, 29 runs, eight doubles and six triples. Quinones was named GAC Central Player of the Year in 2013. Brennan Hehner (Westminster) the 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander helped lead Westminster HS to its third consecutive Class 4 state championship last spring. Last season he was a perfect 7-0 with a 1.91 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. In 40.1 innings, he struck out 30, walked 16 and yielded 31 hits. He is currently ranked #45 in the state. Paul Sherwood (Libety North) is a 5-foot-8 155-pound SS and ranked #39 in Missouri. Sherwood earned first team all-conference in 2013 helping the Eagles to a 16-6 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play. Troy Newell (Francis Howell Central) is a 6-foot-4 180-pound LHP and ranked #60 in Missouri. He has the ability to command three pitches for a strike. Howell was 4-3 last season with 45.3 innings pitched. He recorded 49 strikeouts and a 2.15 ERA for the Spartans in 2013.
Missouri S&T
Nick Oliff (Lafayette) is a 6-foot-1 170-pound SS/2B and is ranked #31 in Missouri. Oliff posted a .297 average with a .324 slugging percentage in 2012. He had one double and 16 RBI. Oliff has a strong arm from the infield posting a velocity of 87 mph and has fluid footwork as well as reliable hands. John Ceriotti (SLUH) a 6-foot-1, 172-pound INF ranked #57 in Missouri. Ceriotti showed well at a PBR event last February, when he was clocked at 81 mph from shortstop and ran a 7.28 60. Offensively, he showed bat speed at the plate, registering 86 mph exit velocity off the tee. Lucas Swindle (Luthern) a 5-foot-11, 150-pound catcher who demonstrated athletic feet and soft hands behind the plate. Swindle batted .456 with a .721 slugging percentage. He added eight doubles, five triples, and 22 RBI in the spring of 2013. Hank Vandaveer (Pacific) 5-foot-10, 165-pound LHP/OF who is impressive with his overall ability and is ranked #53. He batted .393 with five doubles, two triples and 17 RBI last season. On the mound, Vandaveer was 3-2 in 30 innings pitched with a 5.60 ERA and 30 strike-outs.
Missouri Southern
Austin White (Webb City) is an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound middle infielder who showed good instincts to the ball with fundamental footwork, soft hands, and a quick clean exchange. Offensively, White has a balanced stance with a short stride. He has good rhythm and uses a strong lower half to produce some barrel whip through the zone. Webb was first-team All-COC last season for the Cardinals. Brett Graham (Joplin) is a 6-foot-1 195-pound 3B. Graham batted .425 with five home runs last year and was named first-team All-Ozark and Ozark Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named second-team All-State in Missouri Class 5. Jordan Musser (Carthage) 6-foot 170-pound RHP that went 7-1 with a 2.07 ERA and 57 strike-outs last season.
Northwest Missouri
Zane Wilt (Savanah) is a 6-foot-2 175-pound 3B/SS. Wilt has good hands in the field, as well as an accurate arm with average carry. He has his quick release and high-three-quarter arm slot resulted in 72 mph throws across the infield. At the plate, Wilt's short stride, good balance and average bat speed allowed him to spray line drives from line-to-line while demonstrating rhythm. The Bearcats also added, Joe Adamson (Raytown South) a 5-foot-11 catcher, Hondo Pearcy (O'Hara) a 5-foot-10 LHP, Matt Ridgway (Mexico) a 6-foot-1 outfielder, Tyler Tripp (Maryville) a 6-foot-2 outfielder, and Jesus Villegas (Fort Osage) a 5-foot-10 2B/SS to their class of 2014 signees.
Southwest Baptist
Blake Skeed (Raymore-Peculiar) is a 5-foot-9 150-pound C/MIF. Behind the plate, he shows a 2.21 pop time, advanced blocking techniques, and delivered accurate, 68-72 mph throws to second base. At shortstop, Skeed has sure hands and impressive glove-side range. At the plate, he demonstrates an opposite field approach with quick hands that yielded consistent line drives. Johnny Joe Scavuzzo (Staley) 6-foot-2 230-pound 1B. Led Staley to a 16-7 record and a Missouri Class 5 state semi-final 2013. Hunter Hisky (Rockhurst) is a 5-foot-10 190-pound left-handed hitting catcher. Hiskey helped lead Rockhurst to an appearance in the district championship last season.
Truman State
Chris Beckman (Francis Howell) is a 6-foot-3 215-pound LHP and ranked #74 in MIssouri. He led Francis Howell to back-to-back Missouri State Championships in Missouri Class 5. Last season, he was 3-1 with a 2.37 ERA in 23 innings on the mound. Brendan Trimble (Francis Howell) is a 6-foot 190-pound left-handed hitting 3B. Trimble has also won two-straight Missouri State Championships, batting over .400 in both sophomore and junior seasons. Last season, he hit .436 with .473 slugging percentage, with 2 doubles and 12 RBI.
