Yesterday, we updated the state’s 2025 rankings with the winter circuit and spring season behind us, expanding the list to 150 names. For more information about our official release, and details on those prospects at the top, click HERE.

Today, we’ve detailed some names that rose up our board in this most recent update and tomorrow we’ll turn our attention to the new names in a separate story.

RISERS

JD Dohrmann C / Vianney, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 14 / POS: 1 From 5/9/23: “...6-foot-1, 175-pound strong, athletic look in a uniform. One of the top prospects in the state’s sophomore class, currently slotted at No. 14 overall. Earned a key district win for the Griffins on the mound, punching out five over six scoreless innings while holding a talented opponent to just three hits. Polished mover downhill, easy operation without much effort. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with more to come and late life. Slurvy-type spin on a breaking ball at 76-78 mph, turned over a changeup at 77-80 mph. Is a high-follow prospect on the mound in the state, regardless of class.”

Brody Irlbeck LHP / Staley, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 22 / POS: 1 From 4/25/23: “...Iowa commit. Lean, lanky 6-foot, 165-pound frame with thin levers that project. Hurled four scoreless innings without allowing a hit last week, striking out six. Advanced feel for his secondaries, comfortable throwing them in all counts to all hitters. One of the top left-handed arms in Missouri’s sophomore class, currently ranked No. 22 overall.”

Jake Collier LHP / Pacific, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 39 / POS: 4 From 2/9/23: “...Collier’s athleticism is clear, he ran one of the day’s fastest 30-yard dashes at 3.84 seconds, and he’s more than capable of filling out a 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with room to grow down the road. On the mound, Collier worked with plenty of pace and rhythm, repeating a low-effort delivery rather easily throughout. His fastball sat 86-87, topping at 88 mph, and worked east-to-west with it from a clean, continuous ¾ arm action. Collier’s primary pitch in this look was his changeup, an offering that he generated natural arm-side fade at 71-72 mph that’ll greatly aid him in getting right-handed hitters out consistently. He also spun a short wrinkle 72-73 mph curveball with some depth as well, spotting it both in the zone and beneath it. On top of his talents on the mound, Collier took one of the day’s loudest BP rounds, creating hard contact from a twitchy left-handed swing both on average (89.8 mph) and at peak (96.6 mph). Coming off a stellar freshman season at Pacific, Collier will look to cement himself as one of the St. Louis’ area’s top left-handed arms this spring and beyond.”

Camden Lohman RHP / Fort Zumwalt North, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 45 / POS: 6 From 2/16/23: “...came away as the event’s biggest winner after a standout showing on the mound. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound highly projectable sophomore first debuted to our staff at the St. Louis Open in the fall, where he showed a clean, easy operation and projectable fastball up to 85 mph. Lohman greatly improved upon that mark in this look, holding upper-80s heat with his fastball throughout this ‘pen, while topping at 91 mph on his firmest bullet. Lohman’s arm strength showed from the outfield as well, topping at 91 mph on his hardest throw home. He mixed in a shorter wrinkle breaking ball with depth down in the zone, and also featured a 77-78 mph changeup in his ‘pen. Still fully learning how to control his body downhill, Lohman’s upside on the mound is obvious, and he’ll certainly be one to follow throughout the spring and summer circuit.”

Michael Callahan OF / Lafayette , MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 63 / POS: 13 From 4/6/23: “...5-foot-11, 165-pound lean, athletic, well-proportioned athlete with a frame more than capable of adding strength over the next few years. Hit in the two-hole and started in left field for Lafayette in this look. Effortless athleticism, easy hand speed and rhythm at the plate. Drove a hard double into the right-center gap with authority. Also made a stellar diving grab in left field. Batting .379 with a .983 OPS over 37 plate appearances this spring, stealing six bags and walking (7) more than he’s struck out (4).”

Tanner Graham RHP / Columbia Hickman, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 48 / POS: 7 From 5/5/23: “...Strong, well-proportioned 6-foot-1, 210-pound athlete that’s a top-50 prospect in Missouri’s sophomore class. Toed the rubber against a quality opponent and held his own, showing our staff the same polished arsenal we’d seen in the past. Ran his fastball up to 88 mph, pitching at 84-87 mph from a low-effort, clean, and easy operation that suggests more velocity is yet to come. Turned to a curveball often with big break at 71-73 mph and landed it for strikes, turned over a changeup that flashed late fade at 73-74 mph. Comfortable throwing both of his secondary pitches in all counts to all hitters. An upside arm in the state’s 2025 class with a high floor and high ceiling.”

Gabe Huelsing OF / Oakville Senior, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 83 / POS: 20 From 2/7/23: “...is a twitchy, upside athlete with loud tools attached to a 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame. Huelsing’s 91 mph high from the outfield was the second highest number across the entire event, and his 95.9 mph max exit velocity was second amongst left-handed hitters in attendance. Huelsing’s furthest batted ball traveled 353 feet, the fifth highest metric of all prospects at this event, and his 256 ft. average batted distance also finished near the top of our batted ball leaderboard. His fastball played at 83-85 mph on the mound and he spun two above-average breaking balls in his ‘pen to complement it. Huelsing also ran a 7.09 60, with a 1.67 10-yard split, and jumped 30.1 inches in the vertical. He’s certainly a name-to-know in Missouri’s sophomore group that should positively impact Oakville’s squad this spring.”

Jackson Akin SS / Lee's Summit West, MO / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 78 / POS: 15 From 3/30/23: “...a physically advanced and broad shouldered sophomore with a mature feel for the game, Akin is middle of the order difference maker for Lee’s Summit West. The right-handed hitter uses a short and efficient swing with a high finish to attack gaps. Akin has already shown the ability to handle high-end high school arms and is going to be a high follow prospect.”
