MOKAN Fall Underclass Games: Top Prospects

The PBR MOKAN Fall Underclass Games took place on Sunday, October 4th at Creekside Baseball Complex. The event featured over 30 prospects from the 2023 and 2024 classes.
In the days following the event, we released the top statistical performers from the event. Today, we conclude our reports on every player from the event by taking a look at the top prospects.

KASEY CRAWFORD RHP / OF / OLATHE WEST, KS / 2023Physically advanced 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with projectability. Oklahoma commit. The right-handed pitcher works out of a quick rocker-step delivery with a repeatable leg swing into his balance point. Aggressive down the mound, landing square to home. Long ¾ arm action with present arm speed. Fastball shows above average run and sink, thrown low in the zone at 85-89 mph. Slider features short 10/4 break with tight spin, 73 mph. Changeup shows solid fade action thrown with good arm speed, 77 mph. Arm to follow in the Kansas 2023 class. |
JACKSON DOWNING 3B / RHP / LIBERTY NORTH, MO / 2023Physically advanced 6-foot-1, 160-pound infielder with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter sets up in a tall stance with quiet hands and a quick hand load into a short stride. Ball jumps off the bat with above average bat speed through the zone. Level bat path with gap-to-gap approach and loud contact. 88 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. In the infield, showcases soft hands, funneling into his body. Quick, choppy footwork with long high-¾ throws at 82 mph with carry and some accuracy. |
KAMDEN DURNIN SS / RHP / CAMDENTON, MO / 2023Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound middle infielder with room to add size. The right-handed hitter starts in an open, narrow stance with some rhythm in his hands. Big leg kick and hand load into a long stride. Uphill swing plane through the zone with loud contact and bat speed during BP. Gap-to-gap approach, mainly line-drives and fly balls with flashes of pull-side pop. 89 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. In the infield, above average actions with soft hands, quick exchanges, and good footwork. Made 83 mph throws across the diamond from a long high-¾ arm action showing carry and accuracy. On the mound, the projectable right-handed pitcher works from a quick rocker-step delivery with feel. Athletic balance point, landing open with a strong front-side and good extension. Long high-¾ arm action. Fastball sat 80-82 mph with slight arm-side run for strikes low in the zone. Curveball has 11/5 break with developing spin, 67-69 mph. Changeup shows good fade and sink with swing-and-miss potential, 69-71 mph. Should see velocity increases with added strength and maturity. |
JACKSON GLUECK 1B / LHP / STALEY , MO / 2024Physical 5-foot-11, 200-pound switch-hitting infielder with developing strength. From the right side, sets up in an open, balanced stance with active hands. Toe-tap load and short stride, closing front half into an uphill swing plane with line-drives to the middle of the field. From the left side, identical setup with leg kick load and uphill swing plane. Looks to elevate the ball with easier actions to mid/pull side. Flashed some pull-side power from left-side with some bat speed. 87 mph bat-exit velocity. Nearly all barrels. Ran an 8.36 60-yard dash. In the infield, athletic actions and footwork around the bag. Made 81 mph throws from a long high-¾ arm slot with accuracy. On the mound, the left-handed pitcher has an easy rocker-step delivery with clean, fluid arm action. Lands square to home with a tall finish. Projectable long, high-¾ arm action. Fastball sat 77-79 mph with arm side run. Curveball shows big 1/7 shape with some depth, 66 mph. Changeup sat 69 mph with fade and sink action. |
YALE GRIFFITHS RHP / SS / ST. THOMAS AQUINAS, KS / 2024Lean, developing 6-foot, 154-pound infielder with room to add strength. The right-handed hitter sets up in a tall, open stance with some rhythm in his hands. Toe-tap load into a flat swing plane making consistent line-drive contact to his mid/pull side. Some bat speed, 84 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. In the infield, hands funnel into the body with developing footwork and exchanges. Made 72 mph throws from a short high-¾ arm slot. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher works from the stretch with a repeatable tempo. Reaches a tall balance point before landing closed with a falling off finish. Long high-¾ delivery. Fastball sat 70-74 mph with slight arm-side fade. Curveball has 11/5 break with developing spin, 54-55 mph. Changeup sat 59-61 mph, with fade action and thrown with good hand speed. Cutter has slight action, 66 mph. |
BRODY HUFFT SS / 2B / PARK HILL SOUTH, MO / 2023Lean 6-foot, 165-pound middle infielder with present athleticism and room to add strength. The right-handed hitter sets up in a slightly crouched, open stance with a toe-tap load and long stride. Uphill swing plane, short to contact. Consistent line-drive contact to his mid/pull side. 76 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. In the infield, shows soft hands with quick exchanges and athletic footwork. Made 74 mph throws across the diamond with accuracy from a short ¾ arm action. |
TYLER LEONARD C / OF / STALEY, MO / 2023Solid, physical 5-foot-10, 180-pound catcher with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter sets up in a narrow, open stance with rhythm in his hands. Slow, controlled load into a big stride and uphill swing plane through the zone. Gap-to-gap approach with bat speed, making loud contact to his mid/pull side looking to elevate the ball. 85 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash. Behind the plate, solid blocker with soft hands to receive. Quick footwork with developing exchanges. Made 70 mph throws to second from a high-¾ arm action, yielding pop times between 2.05-2.28 seconds. |
COOPER ROBERTSON 3B / RHP / FORT ZUMWALT WEST, MO / 2023Strong 5-foot-10, 185-pound infielder with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter sets up in a wide balanced stance with a high handset. Toe-tap and hand load into a quick uphill swing plane. Shows some feel for the barrel, hard line-drive contact to all fields during BP. 85 mph bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. In the infield, sure hands with athletic actions to field. Works around and through the ball, making 82 mph throws from a high-¾ arm action with some carry and accuracy.
