Future Games Preview: Trey Turner, a C/OF/RHP from Neosho HS
July 31, 2012
Trey Turner may be the most versatile player on the Class of 2014 Midwest Future Games team. Turner, from Neosho HS, has shown ability behind the plate, in the outfield, and on the mound; performing at a high level in each position.
Behind the plate, Turner has shown a top pop time of 2.02 from the crouch, with accuracy on his throws. In the outfield, Turner is quick to the ball and recorded a top velo of 84 mph back in June at the All State Invitational showcase. Off the mound, Turner sits in the low to mid 80s, with a heavy fastball and deceptive delivery. Additionally, Turner has shown athleticism with a 6.97 60.
There aren’t many players who are top level players and excel at all positions, Turner is an exception and will put his versatility to work this weekend.
