On October 23, Prep Baseball Report - Kansas/Missouri held the Fall Underclass Games in Manhattan, Kansas. Nearly 60 players from around the two states from the 2019 and 2020 classes attended the event.
Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, stats and video. In days to come, we will break down the event position-by-position. Today, we will take an in-depth look at the corner infielders. Click on the player's name to see their profile.

Missouri Corner Infielders
Braxton Bragg, 1B, Liberty (MO), 2019
Bragg is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.54 60 and a 4.76 home-to-first. He has an exit velo of 82 mph. At the plate, starts in an athletic set up, controlled leg lift and inline stride, loose hands with level path, hard consistent line drives mostly to pull gap during batting practice, showed power, singled to center field in game action. On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, athletic movements, strong bodied with fluid footwork and clean exchange, accurate throws.
Garrett Juergens, 1B, Sullivan (MO), 2019
Juergens is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.49 60 and a 4.44 home-to-first. He has a 79 mph exit velo. At the plate, thins stance, no wasted movement on load, showed bat control with hands, middle of the field contact during batting practice, tripled down the left field line in game action. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, quick footwork translating to quick catch and throw, accurate throws.
Josef Keilholz, 3B, Fatima (MO), 2019
Keilholz is a 5-foot-8 180-pound left-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. Her ran a 7.38 60 and a 4.38 home-to-first, one of the top LHH times of the event. He has an 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in a wide set up, short stride, smooth and efficient load, gap-to-gap approach, signs of pull power. On the infield, 70 mph positional velo, over the top release, clean transfer with mostly accurate throws.
Joshua Kilpatrick, 1B, Grain Valley (MO), 2020
Kilpatrick is a lean 6-foot-4 170-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 7.62 60 and a 4.65 home-to-first. He has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, wide stance with smooth rhythm and minimal load, short stride, consistent pull side line drives during batting practice. On the infield, 68 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, athletic footwork to the ball and around the bag, accurate throws.
Hunter Leighty, 1B, Camdenton (MO), 2020
Leighty is a 5-foot-9 140-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 7.58 60 and a 4.74 home-to-first. He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance with short stride, quick and aggressive bat speed, middle to opposite field approach, showed feel for the barrel in batting practice. On the infield, 64 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick to the ball with quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws.
Joe Reid, 3B, Nixa (MO), 2020
Reid is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 7.95 60 and a 5.01 home-to-first. He has an 85 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, reverse toe tap for timing, aggressive to the ball, level path through the zone, quick bat speed, solid consistent contact gap-to-gap during batting practice. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, fluid footwork to the ball, field in athletic position with momentum through the catch, made all plays cleanly with mostly accurate throws.
Xavier Robinson, 3B, Raytown South (MO), 2019
Robinson is a 5-foot-7 179-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.64 60 and a 4.88 home-to-first. He has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth rhythm, short stride, now wasted movement, mostly pull side contact during battig practice. On the infield, 70 mph positional velo, short over the top release, quick catch and throw, hands and feet work together, somewhat accurate throws.
Mickey Simpson, 3B, Grain Valley (MO), 2019
Simpson is a 5-foot-7 140-pound right-handed switch hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.92 60 and a 4.75 home-to-first. He has a 76 mph exit velo from the right side and a 73 mph exit velo from the left side. At the plate, open set up from both sides, simple load with no wasted movement, short to contact, level bat path, middle to pull approach from both sides, consistent line drives during batting practice, although a bit more connected from right side. Behind the plate, singled to center from right side in game action. On the infield, 70 mph positional velo, short over the top release, athletic footwork to the ball working through the catch, mostly accurate throws
Kansas Corner Infielders
Cole Conner, 3B, Mill Valley (KS), 2019
Conner is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.88 60 and a 4.90 home-to-first. He has a 75 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, short line line stride, strong loose hands creating quick bat speed, compact, hands work inside ball, consistent middle of the field line drives during batting practice. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, hands and feet work together, fields ball in athletic position, momentum after catch, fluid footwork with clean transfer, mostly accurate throws.
Jordan Jackson, 3B, Washburn Rural (KS), 2019
Jackson is a 6-foot-3 185-pound switch hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.77 60 and a 4.65 home-to-first. Has an 80 mph exit velo from both sides of the plate, one of the top LHH exit velos of the event. At the plate, similar rhythm and timing from both sides, starts with open stance, in line toe touch, short stride, middle of the field approach, stays a bit more on top of ball from right side, middle to pull contact during batting practice. On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, 76 mph positional velo, one of the top infield velos of the event, plays through the catch, aggressive to the ball, feet work with exchange, accurate throws.
Ryan Knipfer, 3B, Derby (KS), 2019
Knipfer is a 5-foot-10 205-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.70 60 and a 4.79 home-to-first. He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, short stride, level bat path, repeats swing, short to contact, middle to oppo line drives. On the infield, high three quarters release, 62 mph positional velo, momentum through the catch, soft hands, mostly accurate throws.
Cole Sphar, 3B, Maize (KS) , 2020
Sphar is a 5-foot-7 160-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2020 class. He ran a 4.75 home-to-first and a 7.51 60. He has an exit velo of 82 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, short in line stride with smooth rhythm, short to contact, hands work inside the ball, middle to opposite field approach, repeats swing, simple and short to the ball. On the infield, high three-quarters release, loose arm action, quick catch and throw, feet in sync with hands, 73 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws
