#3 Francis Howell 24, Fort Zumwalt 13
In a game that saw 37 runs and 32 hits combined, Francis Howell earned the 24-13 win. Logan Andersen hit a pair of home runs with six RBI while Zack Smith went 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI to lead the Jaguars. Eli Dilday and Nic Perkins each hit home runs for Francis Howell. Dilday finished with four RBI and five runs scored. Tanner Kupla went 5-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBI for the Vikings.
#5 Vianney 6, #2 CBC 3
Vianney posted two runs in the bottom of the fourth to break a scoreless tie. After CBC scored a run in the top of the sixth, Vianney answered with four in the bottom of the frame and went to defeat CBC 6-4. Jake Burger, Drew Croghan, Stephen Haring and Marcos Martinez had two hits each for CBC. Matt Vierling started the game for the Cadents, going five inning allowing three earned runs with six strikeouts and two walks. Jake Hemphill out-duled his counterpart on the mound to earn the victory. Hemphill struck-out five in six innings allowing just one earned run. Chris Cornelius, Ryan Knernshcield, Keaton Wall and Nick Allgeyer each recorded a multi-hit game for the Griffons.
#4 Rockhurst 9, St. James (KS) 2
Jack Mercer doubled and knocked in three runs to lead Rockhurst to a 9-2 win over St. James. Trey Vickers went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored and Jon Wemhoff earned the win in five innings pitched. He tallied four strikeouts and scattered three hits.
Joplin 9, Branson 7
The Joplin Eagles put together a five-run fifth inning and to the victory over the Branson Pirates. Branson put together a four-run rally in the seventh, but came up short. Lachlan Maher was 3-for-3 with a triple at the plate for the Pirates. Jonathan Temes, Chad Reusch and Ethan Whteis had two hits for Branson
