Fort Zumwalt West 4, #2 CBC 1
Garrett Staskewicz goes the distance on the mound for Fort Zumwalt South and gets past #2 CBC 4-1 in the Midwest Classic. Staskewicz struck-out five, walked four and allowed one run on seven hits. Dan Svetina led West going 2-for-2 with solo home run. Nick Preiss and Ethan Staskewicz each went 2-for-3 for the Bulldogs. Stephan Haring went 2-for-3 with a walk for CBC.
#4 Rockhurst 9, Olathe Northwest (KS) 2
Rockhurst trailed 2-1 after the first inning, but never looked back to claim a 9-2 win over Olathe Northwest. Jack Benninghoff went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. David Leatherwood knocked in two runs and scored two more, while Trey Vickers added a hit and scored two runs. Tyler Benninghoff gets the win, working five innings allowing two runs on four hits with four strike outs and a walk.
#6 Liberty North 11, Pembroke Hill 4
Liberty North moved to 4-1 with a decisive 11-4 win over Pembroke Hill. The Eagles scored 11 runs on 13 hits led by Andrew Vogelbaugh who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and scored two runs. Brian Sharp was 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBI. Lindenwood commit, Paul Sherwood also collected two hits and an RBI. Vogelbough earned the win giving up two runs in four innings. He struck out eight and walked four.
Webb City 6, Joplin 4
Webb City plated 4 runs in the top of the 3rd and 2 runs in the top of the 7th to hold on for victory. The Cardinals got timely hitting with runners on base, while the Joplin Eagles stranded 8 base runners in the contest. The Eagles outhit the Cardinals 7 to 4.Cade Crouch (Committed - Crowder) tossed a CG for Webb City while piling up 12 K's. His opponent, Kealin Smith threw 6 IP with 6 K's and only 2 ER. Chris Leonardi had 2 H, 2 SB and scored 2 R for Joplin. Tyler Davidson had 2 H including 1 3B for Webb City.
Hickman 11, Francis Howell North 0
Hickman defeated Francis Howell North in the Midwest Classic 11-0. Hickman scored 10 runs in the 7th after taking an early 1-0 lead. Jake Litteken led Hickman going 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. Dave Prost and Ryan Mullarkey collect Francis Howell's only two hits.
Fort Zumwalt South 21, Hickman 6
Drew Quinones had a big day for Fort Zumwalt South, collecting 8 RBI and going 4-for-5 with a home run. Justin Laffleur was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a triple of his own for the Bulldogs. Colby Fitch homered, doubled and drove in four runs in the loss for Hickman.

#1 Westminster 10, Ritenour 0
Tied after the first inning, Westminster started to pound the baseball and didn't stop. The Wildcats cruised to victory in five frames. Brett Bond and Travis Ralls had two hits, including a double for each of them. Tyler Catlett added a triple and Jordan Smith earned the win. Westminster is now 8-1 on the season.
#3 Logan Rogersville 14, Mount Vernon 1
Logan Rogersville got doubles from Garrett Jenigan, Jacob Schlesener and Bailey Jenkins in a 14-1 win over Mount Vernon in five innings. Tad Mitchell got the complete game win, striking out two and allowing one walk.
Platte County 9, #6 Smithville 3
Platte County scored 6 runs in the first three innings to coast to a 9-3 win over Smithville. The Pirates starting pitcher Jerod Thomas tossed a complete game allowing only 4 hits. Just Mitchell had 3 hits and Matt Medford had 2 hits and scored twice fro Platte County. Quintan Reed tood the loss for Smithville, but only gave up 2 earned runs in 2 1/3 innings pitched.

#1 Springfield Catholic 9, Stockton 5
Ryan Ankrom blasts a home run for Stockton, but that isn't enough as Springfield Catholic rolls for a 9-5 win. Eric Atwell went 2-for-3 with two doubles and and two RBI. Ryan Haller collected a pair of hits and Drew Rash scored a pair of runs in the win for Catholic. Haller gets the complete-game win, scattering 10 hits and allowing five runs. He struck out six and walked two. Springfield Catholic remains a perfect 6-0 on the season.
#2 Forsyth 9, Spokane 2
Layn Hurst cracked a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth and Justin Burrow add a two-run home run two batters later to give Forsyth the 9-2 win over Spokane. Spokane jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but Jay Kaufman tied the game at 1-1 with a home run in the bottom of the second. Forsyth took the lead for good when Hurst reached on error that plated two runs in the fifth. Jay Kaufman earned the win tossing a complete game with 12 strikouts. Forsyth moves to 4-1 on the season.
