Shane Benes led the Westminster attack going 3-for-3 with a homerun, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

No. 7 Notre Dame 2         Ste. Genevieve 3
Notre Dame suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Ste. Genevieve. After taking a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a Cody DeBrock two RBI single, Ste. Genevieve shut down the Bulldog offense.  Ste. Genevieve Brock Kreitler's had three hits, including a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth and walk off two run double in the bottom of the seventh.

No. 13 Santa Fe  Wellington 1
Andrew Curry hit and pitched his way to a 12-1 victory over Wellington. Curry had three extra base hits, doubles in the first and second inning, a single in the third, and homerun in the fifth, ending with four RBIs, while striking out 12 and allowing one earned run over five innings. Keaton Graf added a three run homerun for Santa Fe.

No. 14 Oran 11  East Prairie 2
Alex Heuring led the Oran offense going 2-for-3 with three RBIs in an easy 11-2 win over East Prairie. Bear Hicks and Hunter Schlosser each contributed by driving in two runs for Oran. Chance Tenkhoff picked up the win, scattering four hits and striking out five over six innings.

No. 15 Clever 4  Reeds Spring 9
Clever lost their second consecutive game, falling to Reeds Spring. Josh Gronvold homered for Reeds Spring and Joey Longstreet, John Locke, and Coleman Douglas each drove in a run. Locke picked up the win on the mound, striking out seven over six and a third innings.

No. 16 Seckman 5  Oakville 3
Seckman won their sixth game in a row, scoring three runs in the first and two in the second, while holding Oakville in check. Matt Harvey allowed three runs over six innings, striking out four. Luke Boyster, Tommy Estopare, and Collin Edwards each collected an RBI to set the tone for the Seckman offense.

No. 18 Pacific 13  New Haven 6
Hank Vandaveer went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBIs and three runs scored and Jake Null drove in three to lead the Pacific offense. 

 

Red and Blue Classic Tournament
Glendale 9  Kearney 4
Will Blount had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Glendale offense, with run scoring singles in the third and fourth inning. Kyle Larsen got the win, allowing four runs in a complete game win.

Joplin 13  Parkview 11
Joplin scored five runs in the sixth and five more in the seventh to out slug Parkview to a 13-11 win. Adam St. Peter hit a go-ahead single in the seventh to put Joplin ahead. Kealin Smith’s RBI double, Nate Brummer’s sacrifice fly, and Brett Graham’s RBI single late in the game pulled Joplin even at 11-11, before St. Peter’s clutch hit.

In their second game of the Red and Blue Classic, the bats picked up right where they left off after defeating Parkview. Joplin scored one run in the first and seven runs in the third and fourth inning for a quick five inning win. Caleb Garton allowed four hits and two runs to get the win

No. 9 Raymore-Peculiar 4  Oak Grove 11
Oak Grove upset No. 9 Raymore-Peculiar, handing them their fouth loss in a row, and third of the week. Oak Grove pounded out 10 hits, with Jonathan Latshaw, Levi Harmon, and Sean Baker each collecting two of those hits. Corey Bolin picked up the win

No. 11 Blue Springs South 3  No. 22 Rock Bridge 8 
A four run seventh inning put Rock Bridge over Blue Springs South, handing them their first loss of the season.

Smith-Cotton 13  Belton 2
Smith-Cotton won their second game of the Sedalia/UCM tournament, beating up on Belton 13-2. A two run double by Ian Dotson and a RBI ground out by Dalton Zaremba in the first followed by an RBI double by Dalton Christian and RBI single by Dakota Brown in the second gave Smith-Cotton a early lead and allowing them to cruise to an easy victory. Christian picked up the win, going six strong innings and striking out 10.

In other action around the state:
Logan Rogersville 15  Bolivar 2
Dayton Karr led Logan Rogersville on the mound, and helped himself at the plate going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Karr went four innings on the mound allowing two hits and two earned runs. A three run triple by Evan Gruener, RBI single by Tad Mitchell, and two run single by Garrett Jernigan in the second inning put the game away early. Mitchell had a 3-for-4 afternoon with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Forsyth 24  Hartville 6
Forsyth improved their recoed to 5-0 with a blowout win over Hartville, highlighted by a eight run third inning and a 10 run sixth inning. Jay Kauffman continues to have a great season, going five-for-five with two doubles, five RBIs, and four runs scored. Justin Burrow had a day as well, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs, and Alex Pate and Austin Jasper each drove in three.

Nevada 8  Seneca 6
Nevada handed Seneca their second loss of the season.

Sikeston 11  Farmington 0
Colton Black went 2-for-4 with a double and five RBIs to pace the Sikeston offense. Drew Harper pitched in with a 1-for-1 day with two RBIs and three runs scored while Tyler Anderson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Cord Sheehy picked up the win scattering three hits over five innings and striking out five.

Diamond 11  Golden City 0
Jordan Divine struck out eight in a complete game win, Brodie Biwn went 2-for-2 with a double and homerun to lead the offense.

Montgomery County 12  Wellsville 5
Cameron Parrish went the distance striking out nine and allowing four hits to pick up the win. Parrish also helped himself at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Clayton Schlanker and Evan Milner chipped in with two RBIs apiece.

Cabool 7 Thayer 6
RBIs by  Austin Baker, Drew Pearson, Markus Rader, Nolan Stillwell, Tanner Barnes, and Broderick Davis provided the offense to put Cabool over Thayer. Baker and Pearson each had three hits in the contest.
