POSITION PLAYERS
Joe Reid C / Nixa, MO / 2020Highly physical 5-foot-11, 195-pound right-handed hitting backstop. Returns to Crowder after enjoying a successful 2022 campaign, slashing .353/.463/.588 with two home runs over 34 at bats. Long barrel through the zone, generated some of the hardest batted ball data we saw all fall - averaged 100.6 mph per batted ball, peaking at 105.3 mph. Impacted the baseball with that level of authority while consistently elevating the baseball (308 ft. avg) and at peak (406 ft.). Was up to 78 mph from behind the plate during his defensive workout, too. Will look to cement himself as a middle-of-the-order bat for Crowder this upcoming season.

Josh Livingston 3B / Rock Hill , TX / 20216-foot, 215-pound left-handed hitting infielder with a strong, durable frame. Homered nine times across 92 at-bats last season with a .576 slugging-percentage. Generated high-end batted ball metrics without much effort in BP at this event. Hardest ball jumped off his barrel at 102.8 mph and traveled 371 ft., averaging 94.3 mph per batted ball throughout. Has the inherent bat strength and gap-to-gap ability to settle in as a middle-of-the-order bat for Crowder. Plays with some bounce on the infield with soft hands and rhythmic feet, too.

Kaden Zarowny OF / Foothills Composite, AB / 20215-foot-11, 185-pound lean, wiry frame. Ran a 6.48 60-yard dash at this event. Stays short to the baseball with minimal added movement from the right side. Flashed juice in BP, barreled his firmest ball up at 98.2 mph with a 349 ft. max distance. Moves around the outfield well with athletic feet, was up to 87 mph on his hardest throw.

PITCHERS
Ethan Voss RHP / Burnsville, MN / 20216-foot-4, 205-pound highly projectable athlete. Threw 12 ⅔ innings last season for Crowder with a 2.13 ERA. Easy mover down the mound, short arm action that works from a loose high ¾ slot. Fastball worked at 90-92 mph with mostly straight carry into the zone and downhill action. Spins a tight upper-70s slider with fastball intent and slot that appears to be his primary secondary offering at 2300+ RPM. Decelerates arm speed slightly with his 83-86 mph changeup, limits spin and spots it to the arm-side corner of the plate. Will look to build upon the success he had last season for Crowder in 2023.

Riely Hunsaker RHP / Raymore-Peculiar , MO / 2021Large, physical 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete with broad shoulders and a thick lower half. Made eight starts and logged 40 ⅔ innings last spring for Crowder. Works down the mound with intent and aggression, does throw with effort. Fastball jumps out the hand from a high ¾ slot, played at 90-92 mph and worked around the zone. Spins a power slider at 75-78 mph with tight spin, late break, and conviction at 2300+ RPM on average. Cuts a low-spin changeup at 78-80 mph, too.

Joshua Barnhouse RHP / Prosper, TX / 2021New Mexico commit. Brings a hulking 6-foot-6, 240-pound frame to the mound. Returns as a top arm from Crowder’s highly successful 2022 team. Pitched to a 3.18 ERA over 39 ⅔ innings last season, striking out 55 batters and walking only 11. Works in sync downhill, long arm draw out the glove and throws from an over-the-top slot. Throws four pitches for strikes, starting with an 87-88 mph fastball that he releases with 6.7 ft of extension on average with 19+ inches of vertical break on average, too. Spins two breaking balls with power and intent, both of which work in the upper-70s. Curveball spins with more top-to-bottom action and depth, slider has tighter shape with more lateral spin. Rounds out his arsenal with an 80-81 mph changeup that flashes arm-side action and plays in the zone. Expect him to shoulder a similar workload and have another successful season for the Roughriders this upcoming season.
