FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-. After spending last week scouting on the West Coast it was time to stay in the middle of the country and catch an SEC Opener. Where better to do this than at beautiful Baum-Walker Stadium with several thousand Razorback fans “Calling the Hogs” and a couple dozen others heckling the opposing team. It was also an opportunity to catch several top round hitters, including a likely top half of the first-round outfielder from Mizzou. As for tools and talent, here’s what I saw…

No. 14 Kameron Misner, CF, Missouri- Standing 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Misner is tooled up with a body by MLB. With an above average-to-plus arm, plus-plus raw power and a plus run tool underway, Misner is an amateur scout’s dream. He has an easy, fluid swing with majestic power to right-center field. After taking a big league batting practice on Friday, launching ball after ball over the fence, including a few over the 50’ tall scoreboard, he was out of sync during the game. He got started late, was then forced to rush to catch up and as a result, pulled off the ball. He never closed or evened-up with his stride; he simply looked to pull and elevate during every at-bat.
