On Tuesday, July 15, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Ozark Open ID Prospect Showcase at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Today, we will analyze the pitchers and in the days to come we will take a look at the catchers. Although many pitchers played another position, this is just a look at the pitching performances.

Top RHP Prospects
Bradey Welsh (Marshfield, RHP, 2015)
Welsh is a strong, athletic 6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery and lightning quick arm speed. Bradey throws with regular effort, has smooth rhythm, and stays level with his shoulders. Welsh had a fastball velocity range of 87-90 MPH with run and sink. His curveball was at 68-71 MPH with 11/5 tilt and sharp break. Bradey also displayed a change-up that ranged from 73-74 MPH with near fastball arm speed and good sink.
Riley Halley (Iberia, RHP, 2016)
Halley is a highly projectable 6-foot-6, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. Riley has an over-the-top delivery with quick arm speed and short arm action. He throws with regular effort and land s falling slightly towards first. He had a fastball velocity range of 84-87 MPH. His curveball was at 71-73 MPH with 12/6 tilt and his change-up ranged from 80-82 with some sink. Riley also plays basketball at a high level.
Dalton Erger (Seckman, RHP, 2015)
Erger is a projectable 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Erger has a high ¾ delivery with lightning fast arm speed. He throws with easy effort and is a bit uphill with his shoulders. He had a fastball velocity range of 83-85 MPH with good run. His curveball was at 70-73 MPH with 11/5 tilt and his change-up ranged from 74-78 with sink. Dalton pounded the zone with all three pitches.
Patrick Hoerning (Nixa, RHP, 2015)
Hoerning is a wiry, athletic 5-foot-11, 152-pound right-handed pitcher. He has an over-the-top delivery and quick arm speed. Patrick throws with easy effort and throws strikes. Hoerning had a fastball velocity range of 82-85 MPH. His curveball was at 61-65 MPH with 12/6 tilt. Patrick also displayed a change-up that ranged from 74-78 with near fastball arm speed with sink.
Tyler Clark (Blue Springs South, RHP, 2016)
Clark is a projectable 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high 3/4 delivery and loose arm action. Tyler throws with easy effort, keeps his shoulders level, and lands square to the target. Clark had a fastball velocity range of 78-82 MPH. His curveball was at 66-68 MPH with 12/6 tilt and sharp late break. Tyler also displayed a change-up that ranged from 70-72 with near fastball arm speed.
Alex Moore (Mountain Grove, RHP, 2016)
Moore is a tall, projectable 6-foot-7, 204-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery with short arm action. Alex throws with easy effort and lands square, in-line with the target. Moore had a fastball velocity range of 81-85 MPH with some run. His curveball was at 69-71 MPH with 11/5 tilt with sharp break. Alex also displayed a change-up that ranged from 69-71 with near fastball arm speed.
Top LHP Prospects
Kyle Giefer (Kickapoo, LHP, 2016)
Giefer is a 6-foot-0 184-pound LHP with a high leg kick and loose arm. He gets good run on his fastball with a velocity range of 80-82 MPH. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Kyle showed a 1-to-7 curveball with sharp break at 69-73 MPH. He throws a 74-75 MPH change-up at near fastball arm speed with some sink. Giefer pounds the strike zone and has good command of all pitches.

Adam Barton (Hillcrest, RHP, 2015)
Barton is an athletic 6-foot-0, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. He has an over-the-top delivery and loose arm action. Adam throws with some effort, keeps his shoulders level, and lands square to the target. Barton had a fastball velocity range of 75-78 MPH. His curveball was at 61-63 MPH with 12/6 tilt with late break. Adam also displayed a change-up that ranged from 62-63 with near fastball arm speed and good sink.
Gavin Huke (Carthage, RHP, 2016)
Huke is an athletic 6-foot-1, 145-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery with lightning quick arm speed and short arm action. Gavin throws with regular effort and stays in-line with the target. Huke had a fastball velocity range of 77-78 MPH with cut. His curveball was at 65-72 MPH with 11/5 tilt. Huke’s change-up ranged from 69-71 with near fastball arm speed and good sink.
Jacob Mitchell (Mountain Grove, RHP, 2015)
Mitchell is a strong 6-foot-1, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery and loose arm action. Jacob throws with regular effort, has some rhythm, and is uphill with his shoulders. Mitchell had a fastball velocity range of 83-84 MPH with run. His curveball was at 70-71 MPH with 12/6 tilt with late action. Jacob also displayed a change-up that ranged from 74-75 MPH with near fastball arm speed and good sink.
Derrick Newby (Webb, City, LHP, 2016)
Newby is a projectable 6-foot-3, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. Derick has a ¾ delivery with quick arm speed. He throws with easy effort and stays level with his shoulders. He had a fastball velocity range of 74-81 MPH with good run. His curveball was at 64-65 MPH with 12/6 tilt and his change-up ranged from 65-67.
Isaac Norsic (Hillcrest, RHP, 2015)
Norsic is a strong 6-foot-1, 225-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery with quick arm speed and short action. Isaac throws with regular effort and is slightly uphill. Norsic had a fastball velocity range of 81-83 MPH. His curveball was at 67-69 MPH with 12/6 tilt. Isaac also displayed a change-up that ranged from 74-76 with near fastball arm speed
Caleb Robertson (Golden City, LHP, 2016)
Robertson is an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed pitcher. Robertson has a high ¾ delivery with loose arm action. He throws with easy effort and stays level with his shoulders. He had a fastball velocity range of 70-72 MPH. His curveball was at 60-61 MPH with 12/6 tilt and his change-up ranged from 65-68 with sink. Caleb has a consistent release point and was around the zone.
Zack Snodgrass (Carl Junction, LHP, 2016)
Snodgrass is an athletic 5-foot-9, 155-pound left-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery and loose arm action. Snodgrass throws with some rhythm and easy effort. He stays tall through his delivery and finishes in an athletic position. Zach had a fastball velocity range of 75-78 MPH. His curveball was at 62-66 MPH with 10/4 tilt and sharp break. Snodgrass’s change-up ranged from 68-72 with near fastball arm speed.
Bryan Stewart (Lebanon, RHP, 2015)
Stewart is an athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ arm slot with a repeatable delivery. Bryan throws with regular effort and stays level with his shoulders. He displayed good balance and athleticism. Stewart had a fastball velocity range of 75-79 MPH. His curveball was at 65-67 MPH with 11/5 tilt and late break. Bryan displayed a cutter that ranged from 72-76 with some movement.
Jerrod Thomas (Platte County, 3B, 2016)
Thomas is an athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. He has a high ¾ delivery with average arm speed and smooth action. Jerod throws with easy effort and has balance through his delivery. Thomas had a fastball velocity range of 69-73 MPH with sink. His curveball was at 59-63 MPH with 12/6 tilt. Jerod also displayed a change-up that ranged from 58-59 with near fastball arm speed.
Adam White (Ozark, LHP, 2016)
White is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. He has an athletic build. White has a high ¾ delivery and throws with easy effort. He throws with smooth rhythm and level shoulders. He had a fastball velocity range of 79-81 MPH with good run. His slider was at 72-73 MPH with 1/7 tilt and his change-up ranged from 73-75 with sink.
Connor Williams (Carl Junction, RHP, 2016)
Williams is a projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. Connor has an over-the-top delivery with lightning quick arm speed. He throws with easy effort and stays level with his shoulders. He had a fastball velocity range of 77-81 MPH with good run. His curveball was at 66-69 MPH with 12/6 tilt and his change-up ranged from 70-72. Connor has a consistent release point and was around the zone.
