On Tuesday, June 24 at Atkins Baseball Complex in Columbia, Missouri, Prep Baseball Report held the Mid-Missouri Prospect ID.  We have broken down the pitchers and infielders, today we break down the outfielders.  Although, may players did another position besides outfield, this is just a look at outfield performances.

Top Prospects

Matthew Drummond (Shawnee Mission Northwest (KS), OF, 2016)
Drummond is an athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 6.84 and home-to-first 4.49. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Matthew’s throws were very accurate and had good carry. His position velo was 85 MPH (Top at the event). Drummond displayed quick fluid feet and a quick clean exchange. At the plate, Drummond has an athletic setup with a smooth load and a simple swing. He shows fluid rhythm and a level bat path. Matthew produces gap-to-gap line drives with his swing. He had an exit velo of 83 MPH.

Tanner Sandker (Sturgeon, OF, 2015)
Sandker is an athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound left-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.38 and home-to-first 4.75. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Tanner’s throws were very accurate and had good carry. His outfield position velo was 83 MPH (2nd at the event). Sandker displayed a quick arm and attacks the ball in the outfield. At the plate, Sandker has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He shows good balance through his swing and has great hip rotation. Tanner produces gap-to-gap line drives with his swing and has swagger. He had an exit velo of 78 MPH.

Cole Dunham (Lee's Summit West, OF, 2016)
Dunham is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 6.94 and home-to-first 4.32. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot. His throws were accurate with good carry. Dunham moves his feet well and has a quick exchange. His position velo was 83 MPH and it was the camp’s 2nd best. At the plate, Cole has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He has good balance through his swing and above average bat speed. His swing produces gap-to-gap line drives. Dunham had an exit velo of 83 MPH.

Mitchell Orr (Smithville, OF, 2016)
Orr is an athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 6.75 (top speed at the camp) and home-to-first 4.50. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. His throws were very accurate with good carry. Orr works behind the ball and has good fluid footwork. His position velo was 81 MPH. At the plate, Mitchell has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He has fast bat speed with a strong lower half. Mitchell uses the middle of the field well and hits a lot of line drives. Orr had an exit velo of 79 MPH.

Kaelen Dowling (Battle, OF, 2016)
Dowling is a 5-foot-8, 160-pound left-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.40 and home-to-first 4.65. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. His throws were fairly accurate with good carry. Dowling moves his feet well and attacks the ball. His position velo was 75 MPH. At the plate, Kaelen has a balanced athletic setup with a long stride. He has good balance through his swing and above average bat speed. His swing produces line drives. Dowling had an exit velo of 78 MPH.

Austin Fiorella (Lee's Summit North, OF, 2015)
Fiorella is an athletic 6-foot-0, 180-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.56 and home-to-first 5.19. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and has good life. Austin’s throws were mostly accurate and had great carry. He has a clean exchange and quick fluid feet. His position velo was 82 MPH. At the plate, Fiorella has an athletic setup and a smooth load with a long stride. He gets good extension on his swing. Austin’s swing produces gap-to-gap line drives. He had an exit velo of 85 MPH (3rd at the event). 

Josh Miller (Clopton, OF, 2016)
Miller is a projectable, athletic 6-foot-2, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.07 and home-to-first 4.53. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Josh’s throws were very accurate and had good carry. His position velo was 79 MPH. Miller displayed quick fluid feet and a quick clean exchange. At the plate, Miller has an athletic setup with a smooth load and a long stride. He shows fluid rhythm and a level bat path. Miller produces gap-to-gap line drives with his swing and has some pull power. He had an exit velo of 85 MPH (3rd at the event). 

Will Roberston (Fatima, OF, 2016)
Robertson is an athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pound left-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.37 and home-to-first 4.95. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Will’s throws were mostly accurate and had good carry. His outfield position velo was 78 MPH. Robertson displayed good feet and a quick clean exchange. At the plate, Robertson has an athletic setup with a smooth load and long stride. He shows fast bat speed with a short path to the ball. Will produces gap-to-gap line drives with his swing and has swagger in his advanced approach. He had an exit velo of 80 MPH. 

Chase Simpson (Kearney, OF, 2015)
Simpson is a lanky, athletic 5-foot-9, 155-pound right-hand hitting middle infielder/outfielder. He ran a 60 at 6.90 and home-to-first 4.50. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. His throws were very accurate with some carry. Simpson made good reads and has a quick exchange. His position velo was 74 MPH. At the plate, Chase has an open setup with a long stride. He has fluid rhythm and produces gap-to-gap line drives. Chase gets good top spin on the ball off the bat. Simpson had an exit velo of 75 MPH.

Tyler Yount (Kearney, OF, 2016)
Yount is a small, athletic 5-foot-8, 125-pound right-hand hitting outfielder. He ran a 60 at 7.28 and home-to-first 4.69. He throws from an over-the-top arm slot. His throws were accurate and had some carry. Tyler has a good loose clean exchange and plays through the ball. His position velo was 74 MPH. At the plate, Yount has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He uses his lower half well and produces line drives to the middle and opposite field. He had an exit velo of 71 MPH.
