Season Outlook
The Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats look to back to the state championship and continue the success they have had in the past decade. The Wildcats return a host of plays, many already carrying college commitments. They will start four players that will continue their baseball career at an NCAA Div. 1 school. Headed by All State catcher, Jacob Mathey, an Indiana commit and Ben Sems, a Kansas commit and three year starter. The duo will bring experience and leadership to the 2016 squad. They will have a bunch of talent around them as well, including three All-Conference players from a year ago. DJ Stewart, a talented 2017 player and MHSBCA Newcomber of the Year will be a tough out in the line up and a nice compliment to Sems in the middle infield. Senior 1B Nick Glanvill will also return with All-Conference honors along with senior OF Zach Schultz. Look for junior Weston Schad, a Murray State commit, senior Logan McCall, a Harding commit and sophomore Kevin Graham, a Mississippi commit to have increased roles this spring. The Wildcats open the season as the fifth ranked team in Class 4. They are hungry to get back to the State Championship and carry on the winning tradition. They have talent to do so.
