Evaluation: 6/20/16- 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Lean athletic build. Projects to add strength. 7.42 runner. Loose hands in swing, works gap to gap, line drive swing plane, consistent hard contact, 79 mph exit velocity. Easy actions in field, good footwork and exchanges, clean arm action with solid carry and accuracy to bag, 85 mph arm strength. Good body control on mound, lands slightly across body, and hand speed through release. Live fastball at 84-85 mph, downhill plane, and jumps on hitters. Repeats well- consistent strike thrower. Solid shape on 11/5 breaking ball. Has feel for changeup in/around zone. Have seen up to 87 mph. Projects to continue to add velocity with present pitchability.
PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
GORACZKOWSKI: I have been contacted by Minnesota State, Concordia-St. Paul, North Dakota State, St. Cloud State and Northern Illinois at this time.
PBR: Have you taken any visits? Do you have any scheduled in the near future?
GORACZKOWSKI: I have visited Minnesota State and plan on visiting others this fall.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
GORACZKOWSKI: I am looking for a school that has a Physical Therapy (or related) program and a baseball program that I can contribute to their success.
PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
GORACZKOWSKI: Throwing a no-hitter on my first varsity start and being named all-conference.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
GORACZKOWSKI: Adding strength in the off-season and utilizing what I’ve learned this summer and fall to help my team win conference, sections and get to the state tournament.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
GORACZKOWSKI: I’ve played basketball through 10th grade, but now I enjoy playing intramural basketball in the off-season at school.
PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
GORACZKOWSKI: I have a GPA of 3.22 and I have a 27 on my ACT.
