PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
WAHLEN: I am looking for a school that has a strong science program that challenges me academically as well as a baseball program where I have the best fit and where my game can be further elevated and pushed to my highest level.
PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
WAHLEN: This spring I earned a 0.7 ERA over 20 plus innings. I earned All-Conference honorable mention and one of my personal highlights was throwing a 2-hit complete game shutout. I got the opportunity to play on a summer team where I was part of one of the best teams I've ever played with. Having that experience, I'm driven to repeat that during my time at college.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
WAHLEN: Continue to finish strong in high school, put on some more weight and develop physically, and make myself desirable to colleges that fit both my academic and athletic goals. I would also like to be a leader with my high school team by being a captain that my team can look up to and learn from. This year I'd like to see my team advance to State and complete my high school career on a high note.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
WAHLEN: I have played lots of sports growing up and in high school play in an intramural basketball league in the winter. I enjoy the differences in the games as well as the team aspect of both baseball and basketball. I also like outdoor activities, including bowhunting, bird hunting, and fishing.
