Scouting Report

3/15/20

Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 165-pounds. Long thin frame
Hit: LHH. Relaxed open stance Strides to square. Flat swing plane. Uses the whole field with ground ball and line drive contact
Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Average barrel contact
Arm: LH. OF - 87 mph. Long loose arm with carry.
Defense: Average athlete with length. Good glove. Feet take good routes, can be slow to field
Run: 7.37 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Fluid, repeatable delivery. Good extension down mound.
Arm Action: LH. Clean, easy 3/4 arm action from high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85, 83-84 mph. Varying action w/ cut.
CB: 68-72 mph. Solid 1/7 shape. Good depth, spin, and feel.
CH: 71-75 mph. Late fade action w/ solid feel.

 

7/18/19

5-foot-11, 153-pound high upside left-handed pitcher, lean wiry frame, loose levers. Delivery repeats with poise on the mound. Easy effort, in command, controls the pace. Arm action is clean and easy, loose action, high ¾ slot. Fastball played 82-84 mph, touched 85 mph, played with slight arm side run, pounds the zone, looks like more in the tank. Curveball played at 69 mph, 1/7 shape, used sparingly.

 

3/16/19

5-foot-11, 153-pound left-handed hitting pitcher. Smaller athletic frame, high balance point, long arm swing, ball comes out clean in front with minimal effort, upright on release, almost runs down mound. Fastball was 80-82 mph, quicker arm speed, with varying action to plate. Curveball has sharp 1/7 break with solid depth; commands pitch well for strikes. Deceptive changeup thrown from same slot as fastball with late run, fade and sink.
