Name: Isaac Collins
Position: SS
Grade: 2016
Height/Weight: 5-foot-10, 175-pounds
High School: Maple Grove
Ranking: 4th in Minnesota’s 2016 Class

Evaluation: Switch-hitting middle infielder. Athletic player who ran a 6.94 60 at the event. Shows plus range in field with ability to get to a lot of balls other players can’t. Has quickness to game and glove is solid in the middle infield. Has accuracy with above average arm strength- 85 mph. Has rhythm in swing from both sides and flashes ability to drive ball to gaps. 87 mph exit velocity off tee.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
COLLINS: I've heard from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Columbia, Evansville, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Miami-Ohio, and Butler.

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?
COLLINS: I've talked a lot to Ted Silva at Nebraska and Jeremy Ison at Miami-Ohio over the phone. I've talked to many other coaches but I've talked to them the most about things other than baseball.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? If so, please describe each visit.
COLLINS: I've taken visits to Nebraska, Florida, and Virginia Tech. At Nebraska we toured the baseball facilities and was very impressed. We drove around the campus and I got to see the academic center for athletes which was great. We ended the day by watching a game and the fan base there and the amount of people at the game was crazy. At Virginia Tech we also toured the baseball facilities and once again I was very impressed. They have a new coaching staff but you can tell they want to succeed. The campus is amazing and one of my favorites. I visited in the fall so I went to a football game and that was really fun. The fans are awesome and the game got real loud at some points. At Florida we got to tour the facilities and the campus. The success they've had there recently has been very good. We went to a basketball game later that night and had a great time. They invited me down to tour their facilities and for me to attend their prospect camp.

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?
COLLINS: I'm hoping to make it out to Oxford, Ohio to visit Miami-Ohio. And possibly go out to New York to tour Columbia University.

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?
COLLINS: Right now Evansville and Butler each have offered over 75% scholarships. Miami-Ohio told me if I come on campus they'll offer me.

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your recruitment?
COLLINS: I'm planning on doing as many tournaments and showcases as possible this summer to have all the schools interested in me to see me play. I hope to receive more offers and bring my decision down to 2-3 schools by the end of the summer.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage? If so, who and why?
COLLINS: Right now my favorite would probably have to be Nebraska. Even though they haven't offered I've been able to see their facilities and the school and was very impressed. The coaching staff is great as well and I feel like I can fit right in.

PBR: What showcases or events have been most meaningful to your recruitment thus far?
COLLINS: The PBR Future Games have been the most beneficial for my recruitment by far. I was able to showcase my talents in front of countless coaches and play against other great players my age. After the showcase I received both of my offers and heard from at least 10 other schools.

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
COLLINS: I have a 3.97 GPA and a 25 on the ACT.
