The PBR MN Prospect ID- West Fargo event took place on Sunday, August 11, 2019. The event was held at Young Field in West Fargo, ND. The event featured prospects from the 2020 through 2023 grad classes; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches in attendance. Thank you to the players, parents, my staff; along with the staff from West Fargo Legion for such a great event.

Chrisanto D’Agostino, 3B/RHP, Moorhead, 2020
5-foot-7, 195-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.41 runner. Wide and open stance with relaxed hands. Rhythm in load. Strides to square with shoulder load. Aggressive swing with slightly uphill swing plane. Mid/ pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact. Solid consistent contact with pull pop. 90 mph exit velocity. IF- Average feet and works around ball to field. Funnels. Good glove with sure hands. 84 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy. On mound- Rocker step and slides to other side of rubber. Gets to balance position and quicker tempo down mound. Lands slightly across body. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a quick arm action. Fastball is straight thrown at 81-83 mph topping at 84 mph. Curveball is for strikes with 11/5 break and average spin and shape at 72-74 mph. Change-up is straight at 77-79 mph.
Jaden Grefsrud, LHP, West Fargo, 2022
6-foot, 188-pound left-handed pitcher. Solid frame. Raw mechanically. Bigger rocker step to start. Slower tempo. Swings back to balance point. Comes down mound with shorter stride. Lands across body some and falls off glove side. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with small stab behind. Fastball is straight thrown for consistent strikes at 77-78 mph topping at 79 mph. Curveball has 1/7 break with average shape and spin at 68-70 mph.
Brennan Haman, RHP, West Fargo Sheyenne (ND), 2022
5-foot-8, 140-pound right-handed pitcher. Simple step into balance point. Good balance through delivery with good tempo. Lands across body down mound. Shorter stride and stays tall through release. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with long loose arm action. Fastball is 74-76 mph topping at 77 mph with varying action. Curveball has 10/4 break with average spin at 65-67 mph. Change-up is 71-73 mph with down action.
Jace Hanson, LHP, Edgeley (ND), 2020
6-foot-1, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. Average frame with room to fill out. Easy and smooth delivery. Higher leg lift. Good direction and balance down mound. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with easy arm action. Fastball is straight with slight run at times thrown at 78-81 mph topping at 82 mph. Curveball has 1/7 break with average shape and spin at 66-68 mph. Quentin Hegg, LHP, Moorhead, 2020
6-foot-1, 170-pound left-handed hitting pitcher. Average frame with room to fill. Rocker step back and steps in front of rubber. Quicker tempo down mound. Quick leg lift and swings open down mound. Lands across body. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball Is straight at 75-77 mph topping at 78 mph. Curveball has 1/7 break with loose spin thrown at 63-64 mph. Change-up has slight fade at bottom of zone at 69-71 mph.
Skyler Hoard, RHP/SS, West Fargo Sheyenne (ND), 2021
6-foot-1, 146-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.72 runner. Squared balanced stance. Hands load back and small stride to start. Arm bar creating length to contact. Swing plane works down to contact with short stiff finish. Mid/pull approach with ground ball and line drive contact. Inconsistent contact with 74 mph exit velocity. IF- Average feet and attacks ball. Glove is stiff and tends to field ball deep. Low arm slot on release. Average carry and accuracy with 73 mph arm strength. On mound- Turns right into balance point. Lands with a short stride down mound. Throws from a low ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight with slight cut at times at 68-71 mph topping at 72 mph. Curveball has 10/4 break with average shape thrown down in the zone at 59-61 mph. Change-up has slight fade with push release at 59-62 mph.
Jack Jahnke, LHP/OF, Grand Forks Central (ND), 2022
5-foot-10, 152-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.72 runner. Open stance with high handset. Strides to square with hand load. Flat swing plane with short stiff finish. Mid/pull approach with line drive contact. Consistent contact with average barrel. 71 mph exit velocity. OF- Sits back and feet are slow to field. Average glove and fields with two hands. 71 mph arm strength with below average accuracy and fade carry. On mound- Rocker step. Turns into short leg lift. Good direction down mound. Throws from a lower ¾ arm action. Fastball has slight run thrown at 72-74 mph topping at 75 mph. Curveball is inconsistent with small shape and break at 67-69 mph. Change-up has some fade action at 70-71 mph.
Peyton Jantzi, C/RHP, West Fargo (ND), 2022
5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.80 runner. Slightly open athletic stance. Leg lift and long down and back hand load. Arm bar at times. Barrel works in an out of zone. Mid/pull approach with ground ball contact. Inconsistent barrel contact with 78 mph exit velocity. C- Athletic squared stance. Can be stiff side to side. Average glove and works low to high. Can be slow to block laterally. Longer exchange and slower footwork on throws. 2.20-2.38 pop times. 71 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. On mound- Athletic frame. Small rocker step into slower tempo delivery. Good balance down mound and lands slightly open. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a long to short arm action. Fastball has slight run and sink at 74-76 mph. Slider has 11/5 break with small shape and inconsistent release thrown at 68-71 mph. Change-up has cut action at 72-73 mph.
Braxton Jorissen, SS/RHP, Valley City (ND), 2022

Samuel Lenarz, C/RHP, Benson, 2021

Mid/pull approach with ground ball and line drive contact. Average contact with 76 mph exit velocity. C- Strong slightly open stance. Glove works low to high. Average glove and tends to stab to receive. Keeps ball in front blocking. Average exchange and short footwork on throws. 2.09-2.28 pop times. 72 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. On mound- Simple rocker step. Gets to balance point and leg swings open down mound. Good tempo and balance through delivery. Some effort to release. Throws from a ¾ to low ¾ arm slot with inconsistent release. Fastball is straight with slight run at 75-77 mph. Curveball has big 11/5 break with average spin at times thrown at 67-70 mph. Ryan Luthi, RHP, Moorhead, 2020
5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed throwing pitcher. Athletic frame. Big rocker step. Turns into long loose leg lift. Some drop and drive down mound. Good direction with average tempo. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a short arm action. Fastball has some life at 82-84 mph and straight. Curveball has 11/5 break with tight spin and good shape thrown at 71-73 mph. Change-up is straight and firm at 78-80 mph.
Chas Melvin, RHP/SS, Perham, 2022
5-foot-10, 151-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.45 runner. Open stance with high handset. Compress load. Hand load back and stride to square. Aggressive swing. Flat swing plane. Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact. Average contact and barrel. 79 mph exit velocity. IF- Attacks ball with some squat to field. Glove is stiff. 78 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. On mound- Rocker step and into delivery. Lands down mound slightly across body. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with loose clean arm action. Fastball has varying at 77-80 mph. Curveball has 10/4 break at bottom of zone with average spin and shape thrown at 65-67 mph. Change-up has inconsistent feel at 69-71 mph.
Clay Odenbach, LHP/1B, Thompson (ND), 2020
6-foot-7, 190-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.82 runner. Balanced and open setup. Hand load back and strides to square. Easy swing with slightly uphill swing plane. Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact. Average contact and flashed pop. 85 mph exit velocity. IF- Average feet and works around baseball to field. Average glove and makes routine play. 75 mph arm strength with average carry and accuracy. On mound- Tall and lanky frame. Easy delivery. Shorter stride down mound. Back side just falls through. Good tempo. Throws from a ¾ arm action. Fastball has some life thrown at 78-80 mph. Curveball has 1/7 break with small shape thrown at 67-69 mph. Slider has 2/8 break with small shape at 70-71 mph. Tyler Rued, RHP, West Fargo (ND), 2021
6-foot-2, 164-pound right-handed hitting pitcher. Rocker step into higher balance point. Some drop and drive down mound. Lands across body some and spins off glove side. Average tempo down mound. Throws from a lower ¾ arm slot with some effort. Fastball has slight run and mainly straight at 76-78 mph topping at 79 mph. Curveball has big 11/5 break with average spin at time thrown at 60-62 mph. Slider has 10/4 break with average shape at 61-63 mph.
Brody Sorenson, 3B/RHP, Red River (ND), 2020
6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.33 runner. Balanced and slightly open stance. Some rhythm to load. Leg lift and hand load back. Some strength to swing. Middle approach with ground ball to fly ball contact. Average barrel and flashed pull pop. 91 mph exit velocity. IF- Feet can be slow to field. Makes routine play. Funnels with glove. Average accuracy with good carry. 81 mph arm strength. On mound- Simple and easy delivery. Good tempo. Lands slightly across body and tends to fall off glove side. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight at 82-83 mph topping at 84 mph. Curveball has 11/5 break with average shape and spin thrown at 69-70 mph. Will hook at times. Change-up is thrown with average feel and has down action at 74-76 mph.
