PBR MN Preseason ID- Twin Cities: Event Preview
March 2, 2022
On Saturday, March 5th, 2022 Prep Baseball Report Minnesota will be conducting its annual PBR MN Preseason ID-Twin Cities event at the St. Michael-Albertville Sports Dome in St. Michael, MN.
Last year’s event, held at Park Center High School, saw over 70 players between the grad classes of 2021 and 2024. Of those players who participated in the event, 15 went on to make commitments later in the calendar year. Most notably 2024 grad Caleb Koskie (Benilde-St. Margaret’s), who went on to verbally commit to Indiana University.

This year’s Preseason ID-Twin Cities has two younger players to monitor in Rosemount’s 2023 grad Carter Theisen and 2024 out of Fargo Davies Drew Rerick.
Theisen, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound imposing frame was last seen a year ago. A two-way talent who is a right-handed pitcher and first baseman has been a name to monitor. At last year’s Preseason Underclass event, Theisen was 79-80 mph, topping 81 and in June at a PBR tournament was up to 83 mph. Offensively, the strong frame translates some pop and a 86 mph exit velocity. Reports from training this winter is that there have been strides made to his game, something we look forward to seeing March 5th.
CARTER THEISEN
Out of North Dakota might be one of the more intriguing arms in RHP Drew Rerick. Rerick, like Theisen, was seen last March at the very first North Dakota Spring Preview. At that time, Rerick was listed at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds but now the right-handed pitcher is listed at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds. Young in the face, Rerick has a long and loose arm that showed a fastball sitting 80-82 mph with run. A lot has changed since then so the much anticipated arrival of Rerick will be one to keep close tabs on.

Players will also be evaluated and considered for updated player rankings and “Invite-Only” events. This showcase will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report's website, which is subscribed to by more than 900 college coaches. Scouting reports, statistics, and videos will be hosted in player profiles. Top players will also be identified from this event.
