PBR MN 2021 Rankings: Risers
September 17, 2020
The Class of 2021 Rankings were most recently released on Tuesday, September 15th. Since April 22nd when the previous rankings were updated, there has been plenty of movement throughout the list. The PBR Minnesota staff has seen notable performances throughout the summer months at the numerous events hosted. With the high school season lost due to CoVid-19, many players continued to develop and make time continuing to build upon their skills since March and the PBR Preseason Events. The 2021 class is considered to be deep with plenty of athleticism and position heavy on the mound.

Noah Rooney, LHP, Perham (2019 Future Games Participant) who recently made his verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota, made a notable jump from #29 to cracking the Top 10 and moving up 20 spots all the way up to #9. The lefty made an impression at this summer’s Top Prospect Games with his performance on the mound. Rooney, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound athletic frame, made a significant increase with his fastball from a year ago, sitting 86-88 mph. He carried that into the summer with an outing at The PBR at the Rock where he sat 86-88 mph and touched 89-90 multiple times.
