Round 1, Pick 15 Los Angeles Angels
Will Wilson SS / Kings Mountain , NC / 2016
"2/17/19: Strong, athletic middle infielder with above average-to-plus raw power. Aggressive hitter. Takes a big swing and doesn't get cheated. Good balance, swing, load and weight transfer. Rotates to the ball very well. Plus bat speed with good strength in hands/forearms. Solid actions on the dirt, but overall was a tough look on defense with cold temperatures and rain. Showed a plus and accurate arm on a relay throw from short left-center field to the plate. His below average running speed and fringy range at shortstop may necessitate a move to the keystone in pro ball where he profiles very nicely as an everyday offensive second baseman with solid defense. Likely 1st round pick this June. Full Draft Report and Grades: SEE HERE (Draft Reports tab)
