The PBR MN Fall Review event took place on Sunday, October 22, 2017. The event was held at the West St. Paul Sports Dome in West St. Paul, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2018-2021 classes who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches in attendance.

Today we highlight the outfielders who performed at the end of the fall event.

Taking the top spot for outfielders was 2019 Brian Williams from Cretin-Derham Hall. The right-handed hitting junior who is currently the #10 ranked player in the MN 2019 class. Williams displays above average tools across the board with an 95 mph exit velocity and recorded 89 mph velocity from the outfield; as well as running a solid 7.01 60-yard dash.

OUTFIELDER EVALUATIONS (ALPHABETICAL)

Ian Bahn, OF/RHP, Mounds View, 2020
6-foot, 205-pound switch hitting 2-way player. Compact build with well above avg. strength for age. 6.95 runner. LHH- square stance with body load, leg kick trigger, slightly uncontrolled swing, flashes hard contact. RHH- more controlled with better balance, spray contact across field. Shows raw strength from both sides of plate with occasional pop in bat, 92 mph exit velocity. Shows good actions in field, appropriate footwork, clean exchanges with quick release, longer arm action with well above avg. carry and accuracy to target, 91 mph arm strength from outfield.

Thomas Bean, OF, DeLaSalle, 2019
5-foot-11, 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. #11 ranked player in MN 2019 class. Plus runner turning in a 6.53 60 at this event. Square stance, double tap trigger, loose hands to contact, stiff finish, raw aggressive line drive swing plane, flashes strength in bat, 81 mph exit velocity. Covers ground well in field, solid defensively, quicker release on throws, shows accuracy and carry to target, 80 mph arm strength from outfield. Has tools, athleticism, and strength. Should continue to develop and be an upper echelon player in the MN 2019 class.

Jamie Berg, OF, Mahtomedi, 2018
5-foot-10, 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. 6.87 runner. Lead-off type hitter. Easy load and stride, tall to fall mechanics, consistent solid contact, line drive and ground ball contact, works middle of field, 82 mph exit velocity. Above avg. actions in field, works through baseball, quick release on throws, accurate to target, center field/left field arm, 76 mph arm strength from outfield. Currently un-ranked; will make a jump into 2018 rankings.

Reed Brown, OF, St. Michael-Albertville, 2019
5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.21 runner. Pre-set weight with short hand load, pull approach, narrow base, spray contact, 85 mph exit velocity. Works behind and through baseball, short arm action, accurate to bag with avg. carry, 73 mph arm strength from outfield.

Jaden Domeier, OF, New Ulm, 2019
5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.21 runner. Slight crouch in stance, stiffness to mechanics, mid/pull approach, aggressive swinger with raw mechanics, 72 mph exit velocity. Solid fielder, works through baseball with long release on throws, has carry and accuracy with solid arm strength, 82 mph arm strength from outfield.

Rodney Erickson, OF/RHP, Woodbury, 2020
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.07 runner. Square stance, slight shoulder load, consistent hard contact, gap to gap approach, aggressive swinger with solid bat speed, 84 mph exit velocity. 5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.41 runner. Square upright stance, choppy leg trigger, some rhythm in hands and has present strength, flashes hard line drive and ground ball contact, mid/pull approach, 72 mph exit velocity. Raw outfield actions, quick release on throws, limited momentum working through ball, avg. accuracy to target, 70 mph arm strength from outfield.

Conner Fonger, OF/RHP, Superior (WI), 2019
5-foot-9, 172-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.95 runner. 5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Currently #141 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 7.07 runner.
