Minnesota Draft Preview
June 2, 2015
By Rob Allison and Nathan Rode
The 2015 Major League Draft takes place June 8-10. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.
Minnesota has had two high school prospects picked in the top 10 rounds in the last three years in LHP Sam Hentges and RHP Mitch Brown, both going to Cleveland. We may not see a player picked in the top 10 rounds this year, but there are several players that should be watched as they develop in college.
Top Prospects
1. Jake Irvin, RHP, Bloomington Jefferson HS, MN
Irvin has a projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds with long, loose arms.
