PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Glampe: I choose St. Olaf because it gives me everything I'm looking for -- excellent academics, a great baseball program, and the opportunity to travel abroad. I like and respect head coach, Matt McDonald, and have heard great things about the baseball program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Glampe: Gustavus, Macalester

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Glampe: At a St. Olaf baseball camp my sophomore year. During my junior year Coach McDonald was impressed with my abilities and talked with me about playing baseball at St. Olaf. After that, he attended some of my high school and Legion games. I also visited St. Olaf several times.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Glampe: Absolutely.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Glampe: No, I felt it was a great fit for me overall.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Glampe: My parents, because they have always encouraged my love for the game of baseball and provided opportunities for improvement. Dylan Thomas, Chase Hentges, and Joe Loftus were instrumental in helping me improve my skills.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult to

Glampe: I didn't know what to expect. I was very fortunate to find my fit with St. Olaf as soon as I did.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Glampe: I get the chance to go on the spring break trip and compete for some playing time.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Glampe: Breaking the Northfield Legion batting average and on-base percentage record by hitting a home run in my last at-bat of the season.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Glampe: Mac Horvath.
