PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Anderson: I chose Minnesota because of the great culture the coaches have built, along with the program’s success and the great education at the University.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Anderson: I was considering Milwaukee, Duke, Creighton, and Stanford.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Anderson: Fornasiere was the first coach to see me last spring at one of our games, he then retired and Casey saw me in Atlanta over the summer. I visited and we talked for a few months to let the relationship build.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Anderson: Yes, it’s very relieving. Although the work becomes that much harder when trying to train for the next level.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Anderson: The coaches were very personal and their focus on creating respectful young men was something that made me feel at home. Not only will I develop as a player there, but I will become a better person too.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Anderson: My dad, he’s been with me through all the ups and downs and always pushes me to be my best.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Anderson: I thought the recruiting process was stressful at times, but also a cool experience to be a part of.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Anderson: To come in and work my tail off in class and on the field. I hope I will be able to contribute to the team’s success right away.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Anderson: Beating Lakeville North in the State Quarterfinals last year.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Anderson: Nick Juaire
