PBR: Why did you choose Wayne State College?
I felt that Wayne State was the best fit for me. I really liked the campus, baseball facility and loved hanging out with the team.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
It came down to either Wayne State College or Upper Iowa University.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
They first saw me at the PBR MN Top Prospect Games at Minnetonka on June 20th. They texted me about a month later and just seemed really interested in me.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
Yes, it feels great to know where I want to go next year and now I can just focus on school as well as my high school sports.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Not really, I knew I wanted to go to a school out of state and I wanted to get the chance to play baseball somewhere that would fit for me.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
My parents most of all. I also wouldn’t have this opportunity without my high school coaches Mick Scholl and Eric Reuss; and my fall coach Brett Thorney for TCBA. I wouldn't be in the situation I am now without them and I'm grateful for it.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
It was pretty difficult. I didn't know when and where I was going to commit. I tried visiting every school that was interested in me. There was a lot of thinking involved but in the end I think it was all worth it because I know where I want to go now.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
They think that I could have a real chance at getting some playing time my freshman year. They are graduating their 3rd baseman and SS; so if I work hard enough and play to the best of my ability I'll have a good chance at playing right away.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Playing in the section finals at Dundas Field my junior year and beating Eastview 1-0 to advance to the state tournament.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
Sam Carlson. I've never had to bat against him but playing against him is always a challenge. I've played with him since I was 10 years old and I've never played against/with a more talented player.
