PITCHER OF THE WEEK | RIANE RITTER

Riane Ritter RHP / RHP / Rogers, MN / 2024

The St. Thomas commit shutout a strong Champlin Park team, going toe-to-toe with TCU commit Tyler Phenow. Ritter held the Rebels to just four hits and two walks while striking out 12 in his complete game.

Prep Baseball Minnesota was in attendance for the game. Here's an excerpt from the Scout Blog:

The Royals' ace attacked with the fastball and mixed in a breaking ball when needed, 90 pitches and 63 for strikes, 70 strike percentage. A fastball that seemed to get stronger as the game progressed, Ritter sat 88-91 mph, but reached back late in the game and saw multiple 92s and a 93 in the 7th.

Ritter is an impressive arm and could be a steal for the hometown Tommies.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK | CARTER BOOS

Carter Boos SS / 2B / Duluth Marshall, MN / 2024

The NIACC commit set the table for the Hilltoppers all week, going 11-for-17 (.647) and scoring nine times in four games. That stretch also included a 5-for-5 game in a 10-9 win against Mora where he scored twice, surpassing 100 runs scored over his high school career.

Boos also threw a complete game win over Esko, handing the previously undefeated team their first loss of the season. He scattered five hits and struckout eight in the Hilltoppers' 13th win of the season.
