Excitement and anticipation soar for the Prep Baseball Report's highly-awaited Junior Future Games. 

This prestigious event showcases some of the brightest young talents in the sport, providing a platform for emerging players to exhibit their skills and potential to a broader audience. As the countdown to the games commences, PBR Minnesota is proud to announce the final roster for Team Minnesota.

These 16 players come from different areas of the state and neighboring North Dakota and Wisconsin, and they will have the privilege of wearing MINNESOTA across their chest and competing against other national powerhouses in Lakepoint.

2023 TEAM MINNESOTA ROSTER

TY BECK

OF / SS / FARMINGTON, MN / 2027

At 6-foot 175, Beck already has the physical build of a future gamer. Athletically he has a higher-level combination of speed and strength. He tracks the ball well in the outfield with a plus arm for his age—refined approach at the plate with big power potential in the future.

CASON BORCHARDT

OF / LHP / HORACE (ND), ND / 2027

Borchardt has an extremely projectable frame coupled with great actions. Velocity on the mound has already been low 80s. Borchardt has a great mix of pitches and is projectable on the mound. In the field, the two-way prospect shows athletic movements and an above-average feel for the barrel at the plate.

DOLEN BRISK

1B / C / BUFFALO, MN / 2027

Brisk has the size. He has already seen time at the varsity level in the middle of the order. At the plate, he has major power potential. He has elite first base skills in the field with silky footwork around the base, above-average flexibility, and a solid glove. He has the athleticism to be successful behind the plate as well.

ALEJANDRO CHAVEZ

SS / RHP / OSSEO, MN / 2027

The lanky MIF from Maple Grove has shown athletic movements in the field and a clean arm on the mound. Chavez has the athleticism and skill to play anywhere on the field. Top of the order type of hitter now. Highly projectable arm on the mound.

ELIOT DE LEON

OF / RHP / TPH ACADEMY, MN / 2027

De Leon has an athletic build with present strength. The two-way prospect shows major upside on the mound and in the field—mid 80's velocity with a clean loose arm. De Leon has demonstrated the ability to drive gaps and moves well in the field. He will be an interesting follow as he continues to develop physically.

LOGAN HAGMAN

C / OF / HUDSON , WI / 2027

Physically Hagman boasts the strength of a future gamer. The catcher is athletic behind the plate, blocks, and receives well. At the plate shows an elite barrel feel. Hagman can drive the ball and shows considerable power potential.

GERAD HANLE

LHP / 1B / BECKER, MN / 2027

Hanle, the LHP from Becker, is a very interesting arm—high-level athlete on the mound. Hanle has a clean low 3/4 arm slot that is very effective. He has shown high pitchability and boasts a very effective three-pitch mix. Hanle will be a very interesting follow in the coming years.

KALIN JOCHUM

RHP / 3B / CHASKA, MN / 2027

Jochum has the size, strength, and athleticism to be an outstanding baseball player. Also a high-level basketball player. Physical in the box. He has the athleticism and arm strength to play any position on the field. Projects best as a corner INF or OF. Exciting prospect as skills continue to progress.

JACKSON LAROCHE

LHP / 1B / BIG LAKE, MN / 2027

The big lefty from Big Lake showed solid skills at 1B. At the plate, LaRoche shows fluidity in the swing and strength in the barrel. He has big-time power potential. On the mound boasts a very effective arsenal and has a low 80s fastball—projectable two-way prospect.

MAX LERNER

SS / 2B / HOPKINS, MN / 2027

Table setter at the plate. A contact-type hitter is always on base. He does the little things right and is very consistent. In the field has the glove skills and athleticism to be a high-level MIF.

DYLAN LINDSTROM

SS / C / HOPKINS , MN / 2027

The 5-9 C/MIF from Hopkins has already seen some time at the varsity level. His fundamentals, solid athleticism, and skill make for an interesting follow as he continues to develop physically.

BRENDAN MADEMANN

RHP / OF / EAGAN, MN / 2027

The 6-2 RHP from Eagan has the athleticism to project out as a big-time arm in the coming years. Mid 80's arm coupled with a three-pitch mix. Mademann has a frame that projects velo jumps soon. He shows advanced pitchability and is a high-level prospect moving forward.

 

JACOB MICHEL

SS / RHP / ROSEMOUNT , MN / 2027

The two-way prospect from Rosemount has the strength, skill, and projectability to be an elite prospect and will be an interesting follow in the coming years. Michel is very intriguing at the plate. He has a smooth swing with strength in the barrel. In the field has a strong arm and a good glove.

LANDON SANDERSON

RHP / OF / LAKE CRYSTAL WELLCOME MEMORIAL, MN / 2027

Sanderson is a physical and athletic ball player that is still extremely raw. He has the arm strength and pitchability to be an elite arm. He has the athleticism to be a very good corner OF.

JACK SCHULTZ

SS / RHP / ROBBINSDALE ARMSTRONG, MN / 2027

Schultz has an above-average frame and the athleticism to play anywhere in the field. The lanky ball player has an advanced feel for the barrel and is athletic in the box.

JACK VAN GEMERT

RHP / OF / CRETIN-DERHAM HALL, MN / 2027

The 6-2 two-way prospect has the frame to be a very interesting follow in the coming years. On the mound, Van Gemert has a refined arsenal of pitches and has experienced high success this summer. He shows skill with the glove and above-average arm strength in the OF. At the plate finds the barrel consistently. Very projectable.
