Updated Class of 2026 Player Rankings (September)

Throughout the summer we were all over the state, scouting numerous prospects and seeing many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene. With that information, we are updating each of our class rankings based off what we have seen. Up now, we take a look at the Class of 2026.

As school gets underway and the fall sports season kicks off, we will take a look at "What's New at the Top", "Notable Newcomers”, "Summer Showcase Standouts", "Prospects College Coaches Need To Circle Back To " and a look some of the top uncommitted prospects by position, and a close look at the Top 10.

What's New In The Top 10

Cole Duhaime LHP / OF / Brother Rice, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 2 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 158 / POS: 15 Report: Moving up to #2 in the 2026 Michigan rankings, Duhaime garnered much attention after his debut at Future Games. The southpaw pitched in the Division I State Championship game for Brother Rice and continued a string of strong outings this summer rolling into the Future Games. Features a fastball up to 88 with noticeable arm-side run and the ability to work both sides of the plate. Also showed off a few changeups for swings and misses and a 12/6 shaped breaking ball as his best offspeed pitch.

Dylan Fairchild SS / RHP / Detroit Catholic Central, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 5 / POS: 2 Report: Fairchild moves up in the rankings after a solid summer and showing at Future Games for Team Michigan. An athletic mover on the left side of the infield with a strong arm. Produced multiple base hits in July at LakePoint and showed off some speed in the 60-yard dash. Fairchild has a high ceiling and will only continue to get better as we head into the offseason, setting up for a big spring at Detroit Catholic Central.

Summer Showcase Standouts

Jack Manzella SS / RHP / Fraser, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 25 / POS: 6 Report: Smaller statued righty features a big punch with the fastball up to 90 this year and a breaking ball that has the makings to be a solid out pitch. The Fraser native had high number of strikeouts this spring while leading the rotation for Fraser. Look for Manzella to make another jump in the coming months.

Jayden Yancy RHP / OF / Flat Rock Community High School, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 32 / POS: 12 Report: A rising junior who’s shown growth over the last 6 months, the fastball has made a jump into the mid 80s up to 87 at multiple PBR Tournament events. Yancy profiles a 3 pitch mix (FB, CH, CB) and looks to take another leap this fall and emerge as the workhorse for Flat Rock.

Lincoln Thompson OF / RHP / Detroit Catholic Central, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 66 / POS: 9 Report: Twin brother of Bennett, Lincoln ended the summer on a strong note knocking out multiple extra base hits for ZT Elite Navy. Lincoln made jumps defensively in the OF this summer showcasing his range in centerfield making game changing plays. Lincoln will look to take on a larger role for the Shamrocks in spring 2025.

College Coaches Need To Circle Back To

Kaden Jominy RHP / OF / Mattawan, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 6 / POS: 3 Report: Jominy, a former Michigan recruit is back on the board. The right hander profiles a solid two-pitch mix with a developing changeup. Already been exposed to high level competition on the summer circuit, Jominy will be ahead of peers in the ability to make an impact on the pitching staff sooner than later.

Tristan Turner SS / 3B / Brother Rice, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 17 / POS: 5 Report: Turner held his own in Atlanta at Future Games 2024 while flashing a solid glove and footwork during the workout and game play. A solid swing with pop to the pull side, Turner will look to make an impact for Brother Rice this spring as they return a plethora of key pieces for the 2024 Runner Up in Division 1.

Bo Bishop OF / LHP / Lakeland, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 19 / POS: 3 Report: Bishop profiles speed and above average instincts with left handed bat with gap to gap feel at the plate. A mainstay in the Lakeland line up, Bishop had a strong summer for West Oakland Wings club. Coaches will be attracted to his athleticism and how it can impact the game at a moments notice.

Emmett Lingeman RHP / 3B / Central Montcalm Middle, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 18 / POS: 7 Report: A standout from Top Prospect Games in Ypsilanti, Lingemann features a tall, lanky frame at 6’5 with a fastball into the upper 80s with more room for growth. Lingemann has a strong track record from the spring to summer and will look to build on that this offseason.
