The Year In Review - 2023
Each of us here at PBR Michigan want to thank you for making 2023 the best year yet. We look forward to continuing to bring the best baseball coverage. Happy Holidays to all!
“We’ve made good strides during the last twelve months in Michigan with a vast amount of coverage from all four seasons and providing our players & their families an great experience. Our staff is very excited to turn the page to 2024 & continue our trajectory upward.”
- Adam Goodwin, PBR Michigan Director of Scouting
"2023 was a strong year in Michigan high school baseball as there were records set in a spring that saw both repeat champions and first time winners at the state finals. Over the course of the year we saw a number of players emerge and establish themselves in their respective classes and we look forward to continuing that trend as we expand our coverage across the state in 2024."- Spencer Impellizzeri, PBR Michigan Director of Operations
"I feel with the relationships we've made and the experiences I had personally throughout these past 12 months, that 2023 was a banner year for PBR Michigan. Being able to help high school athletes reach their dreams of playing at the next level while building personal relationships is something I enjoy daily. Thank you very much to the athletes, parents, coaches and all in the great state of Michigan and have a great holiday season." - Dylan Hefflinger, PBR Michigan Editor in Chief/Scout
"Another enjoyable year of story writing is in the books. Hearing the baseball journeys from so many brings me delight as each player’s dream of playing the sport for as long as possible stays alive. It is a delight to see these athletes in action, be it during the regular season, on the postseason trail to the state tournament or at the Future Games. To witness the passion displayed on the ball diamond keeps this old man excited to come back for more year after year. Add in the opportunity to listen to what all the great coaches out there have to say and it is no wonder why the sport of baseball is so special to so many people." - Bruce Hefflinger, PBR Michigan Senior Writer
"I would define 2023 as a year of growth from our team. This was the second full year that I have been apart of the PBR team and things really started to come together this year. On the Tournament front, we had a better grasp of what to expect and I feel we put on great events almost every weekend. Our scouting coverage improved immensely and most of all, the communication between both our tournament team and our scouting group got a lot better. The resources that PBR provided our tournament group were amazing allowed us to put on great events that allowed all the team involved to have a great experience. 2023 was a great year and I expect 2024 to be even better!" - Phil O'Shea, Michigan Tournament Director
