Rock Summer Championship 16U: Takeaways

We continued our summer tournament circuit this past weekend with the 16U Rock Summer Championship in Franklin, Wisconsin. This event targeted some of the top 2026 prospects from the state, as well as a couple surrounding states. Read on below to see which players stood out to our scouting staff from the event. 

2026 Athletes HQ-Fuscone

INF/RHP Gavin Fuscone (St. Charles East, 2026)
Fuscone showed an intriguing two-way profile this past weekend, highlighted by a projectable 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed athletic movements, standing upright with his hands high and a simple trigger. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher showed a two-pitch mix with feel for spin on his fastball, which sat in the 82-85 mph range (2200-2400 rpm) and was paired with a slider in the 73-75 mph range.

5 Star Wisconsin 16U - Wick

RHP/3B Carter Valleskey (Valders, 2026)
Lean, 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame, impressed during 5 Star Wisconsin's Saturday morning pool-play game, contributing on both sides of the ball. On the mound, the right-hander showed a loose delivery, ¾ arm slot, long arm swing, deep back leg sink, and a repeatable motion from the windup and stretch. Fastball was firm and sat from 83-85 mph, topping at 86, backed by a tight 2/8 curveball that sat from 73-75 mph. Offensively, he went 2-for-3 with a walk and two opposite field singles, one of which tied the game at four at the time. Displayed a toe tap for timing and aggressive hands at the point of contact. An all around productive day for Wisconsin’s No. 37 overall ranked prospect.  

Ann Arbor A's

RHP Jacob Berkemeier (Fr. Gabriel Richard Ann Arbor, 2026)
Berkemeier would show a quality profile on the mound Sunday, throwing 6.1 quality innings, only allowing one earned run and one hit. The right-handed pitcher would show a quality two-pitch mix, which included a fastball that sat in the 78-81 mph range and was paired with a curveball that sat in the 68-70 mph range. Athletic 6-foot, 155-pound frame with room for added strength. 

SS Max Pinsky (Huron, 2026) 
An athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame, Pinksy showed well in the Ann Arbor A’s game against the GRB Rays. The right-handed batter put together quality at-bats with a quick simple swing that is able to find barrels. Where Pinksy really impressed was at shortstop with the glove. He is a rangy defender that made a handful of plays look easy. He started with a sliding grab to his right side, which was followed by a strong and accurate throw. He showed a good mental clock, not rushing his throws and keeping everything in front of him. With the glove, Pinsky sets himself apart from the rest and as the bat continues to develop into more consistency he will be a name to keep an eye on. 

Athletes HQ 2026

LHP Devin De Loach (Crystal Lake South, 2026)
De Loach had an impressive day Thursday, throwing six innings while allowing no earned runs and striking out 14 batters. The left-handed pitcher showed lively stuff with his fastball sitting in the 78-82 mph range while being paired with a tight low-70s curveball. 6-foot-2, 240-pound frame. 

3B Nikolai Vahmistrovs (Saint Charles East, 2026)
Vahmistrovs presented a lanky 6-foot, 155-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. At the plate, the left-handed hitter stands upright with his bat over his shoulder and utilizes a leg kick to get into position to hit. Defensively, the rising junior showed athletic actions at the hot corner with it being clear that he is still learning how to use his lanky frame. A name to follow as he continues to grow into his current frame. 

C/DH Wyatt Groberski (John Hersey, 2026)
Groberski had a strong day at the plate Thursday, going 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs against Brew State Baseball Academy. In setup, the right-handed hitter stands upright and relaxed, utilizing a leg kick to get into an athletic position to hit. 6-foot, 160-pound frame.

OF Kyle Pierce (Dundee Crown, 2026)
Pierce performed well out of the two-hole Thursday, going 1-for-2 with two runs scored. The right-handed hitter presented a twitchy, athletic setup utilizing a leg kick to get into a position to hit. Athletic 5-foot-8, 140 pound frame.

SS Cole Harkin (Hampshire, 2026)
Portraying a smaller and athletic 5-foot-6, 130-pound frame with lots of room for added strength, Cole Harkin is athletic at the plate and in the field. At the plate, Harkin went 2-for-3 with three RBI’s while scoring a run. He has a relaxed approach at the plate with a quick bat speed and level swing. Harkin is quick on the base paths and is quick to get to any ball that is hit in his general direction.  

Brew State Baseball Academy U16

1B Leo Sanders (Marquette, 2026)
Sanders presents an imposing, 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame with room for more fill. The right-handed hitter has a crouched setup with a simple trigger that is able to get the bat around quickly. A name to follow in the rising junior class. 

OF Joel Markusee (Brookfield East, 2026)
Markusee showed an athletic profile this weekend, with rangy actions in centerfield and a solid right-handed swing. At the plate, the rising junior presented an athletic stance with a no-stride trigger. 5-foot-8, 140-pound frame.

RHP Sam Wells  (Brookfield East, 2026)
Possessing a strong, athletic, and proportionate  6-foot-1, 187-pound frame Sam Wells got the win on the mound for Brew State Academy. The righty threw a full seven innings only allowing one earned run, three hits, and one walk while striking out nine. Mechanically, Wells is easy and loose on the mound, stays closed for a long time, and throws out of a 3/4 arm slot. He consistently threw a firm fastball 81-85 mph the whole game complemented by a 73-75 mph slider that he threw for strikes. 

C Carter Mantei  (Brookfield East, 2026)
Displaying a strong 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame, Carter Mantei was impressive at the plate and behind the dish for Brew State. The right-handed batter reached base every time going 2-for-2 with a walk. Mechanically, Mantei comes up to the plate with a wide stance and loose hands. He has a high leg kick and a quick bat with a nice and easy swing right through the zone. Mantei kept runners in check behind the plate and was a brick wall not allowing balls to get past him.

Canes Great Lakes 16U Gold

RHP Jacob Snyder (St. Joseph, 2026)
5-foot-9, 180-pound frame, threw a complete game in the Canes’ 6-3 win Friday morning, limiting loud contact from start to finish. The outing included eight strikeouts, seven swinging and one looking, and no walks. The right-hander deployed a four pitch mix, relying primarily on his fastball and curveball to throw off hitters. Utilized a ¾ arm slot, front side tuck, repeatable in-line stride and finish, and a forceful lower half drive. Fastball showed late life in the upper quadrants of the strike zone and sat from 80-82 mph, topping at 83. Curveball was consistently thrown for strikes and sat from 67-71 mph, backed by the occasional armside changeup at 75-77 mph and slider at 72-74 mph. A productive performance for Indiana’s No. 186 overall prospect.

RHP Josiah Gustine (St. Joseph, 2026)
Athletic, 6-foot, 180-pound frame, threw a quality five innings during the Canes’ Saturday night pool-play game. The right-hander finished with six strikeouts, three looking and three swinging, working entirely out of the stretch. Presented a ¾ arm slot, long arm swing, forceful lower half drive, and a whippy arm action. Fastball had a higher perceived velocity due to his extension and sat from 80-81 mph, backed by a wipeout 2/8 curveball at 67-68 mph and a tight slider at 69-71 mph. Though he battled walks early, Gustine consistently worked out of jams and kept his team in the game.  

Cangelosi Sparks North - White 2026

RHP Will Tomczak (Fenwick, 2026)
Tomczak showed quality actions on the mound this past weekend. The right-handed pitcher presents a 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame with room for added strength. The fastball sat in the 78-82 mph range and was paired with a low-70s changeup. The rising junior should be a name to follow as he matures in his pitchability.

1B Bryce Tencza (Providence Catholic, 2026)
An imposing 6-foot-3, 273-pound, Tencza has game-changing strength which provides easy top-echelon power. The first-baseman moves extremely well for his size and it helps him on both sides of the ball.

C Charlie Martin (York, 2026)
Martin showed well this past weekend, presenting a compact 5-foot-9, 171-pound frame with present strength. The rising junior showed twitchy athletic actions throughout the tournament, moving well on both sides of the ball. At the plate, the right-handed hitter stands upright with plenty of rhythm, staying athletic throughout the process of the swing. 

OF Chase Nelson (Palatine, 2026)
An athletic, 5-foot-8, 130-pound frame, Nelson had a great day at the plate for the Sparks North game against the White Sox Elite North. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 with three singles, while also showing well on the base paths. Nelson has a simple compact swing that keeps the barrel in the zone, allowing for easy barrels. His hands generate quick bat speed that helps drive the ball to all parts of the field. Nelson also collected a stolen base on the day. 

SS Thomas Tomaszcek (Saint Patrick, 2026)
This past weekend, Tomaszek presented a 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with present athleticism that translated on both sides of the ball. Defensively, the shortstop showed quality actions with quality footwork. At the plate, the right-handed hitter presented an athletic stance with twitchy actions and a no-stride trigger which allowed Tomaszek to get into a good position to hit. A name to follow as the rising junior continues to physically develop. 

CBT 16U

RHP Carson Gates (Kaukauna, 2026) 
A long limbed, 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, Gates showed well in his start on the mound this Thursday. The right-hander threw four innings allowing four runs and three walks while striking out five. His fastball was sitting 79-81 mph while the change-up was 74-76 mph and the slider was 70-73 mph. The fastball tended to sink and paired up well with the change-up and slider. The slider was used as a change of pace and freeze pitch. After a rocky first inning Gates settled in and found command for all three pitches, able to fill up the zone. 

Chicago Rake 16U

C Ryan Cisneroz (Noter Dame Prep, 2026)
An athletic, 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame, Cisneroz had an all-around weekend showing well with the bat and glove. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 in Rake’s Thursday morning game, collecting a single and double. Cisneroz showed a smooth, fluid swing that keeps the barrel in the zone through strong hands that stay compact. He also showed a good two-strike approach, able to battle through pitches and find one to drive into a gap. On the defensive side is where Cisneroz showed the best as an athletic body behind the plate with a strong arm. Through two games he threw out a pair of runners showing a good transition and throws on a line to the bag. He moved well behind the plate, showing soft hands and the ability to frame pitches also. 

SS Nathan Olivares (Notre Dame College Prep, 2026)  
An athletic, 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, Olivares showed well this weekend with the bat and glove. The right-handed hitter collected a single and triple through a pair of games showing presence in the box. Olivares has a longer swing that still has quick hands that keeps the barrel in the zone. He also has the speed to follow, running the base paths able to get to his top speed quickly. Olivares also showed well at shortstop as a calm rangy fielder. He made a handful of plays with ease and showed good footwork with soft hands.  

LHP Edgar Berge (Maine East, 2026) 
A filled-out, 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame, Berge was dominant on the mound in his start against CBT Thursday morning. The left-handed pitcher threw six and a third innings, allowing two runs, eight hits, and one walk while striking out ten. The fastball got up to 81 mph but sat 76-79 mph for the entirety of his outing, while his curveball sat 68-69 mph and change-up sat 74-75 mph. All three pitches worked off each other as the fastball had a late-in zone ride which paired well with a change-up with a heavy arm side run and a curveball with a late break out of the zone. Coming from a high kick windup with clean arm action, the lefty was able to create whiffs the entire game, while working out of some trouble on the basepaths. 

LF Adam Stankiewicz  (Notre Dame College Prep, 2026)
Possessing an athletic and long 6-foot-3, 180-pound display, Adam Stankiewicz was putting the ball in play for Chicago Rake. The lead-off hitter did his job by getting on base. He reached every time he was up to bat going 2-for-2. Stankiewicz stands tall and relaxed with the bat on his shoulder. He shows a double tap stride with an easy level swing driving the ball in both directions.  

Chicago White Sox ACE

SS Joey Ireland (Mount Carmel, 2026; Illinois) 
Illinois commit. An athletic, 6-foot, 164-pound frame, Ireland could not be stopped with the bat through his first two games this weekend. The right-handed hitter went 5-for-6 with two singles, a double, and two triples. Ireland showed rhythm and maturity in the box with quick hands that stay compact and through the ball. He keeps the barrel through the zone, able to drive the ball to all parts of the field. The righty also showed his ability to run the bases, swiping a handful of bags, beating throws with ease. At shortstop, he is a rangy defender with soft and quick hands. He has a good mental clock, knowing the time he has and not rushing any part of his movements. A handful of plays were made with ease and showed a strong arm that works with different angles. 

RHP Connor Elenteny (Mount Carmel, 2026) 
A built, 6-foot-3, 193-pound athletic frame, Elenteny gave an intriguing look during his start against Forceout Thursday afternoon. The right-handed pitcher settled in after a rocky first inning and found command for both his pitches. The fastball was sitting 85-88 mph, topping out at 90 mph, while the slider was sitting 74-79 mph. A firm fastball that gets on hitters pairs extremely well with a hard gyro slider. Once Elenteny found his timing after the first inning he was dominant on the mound. Coming from a clean, fluid motion followed by a loose quick arm, Elenteny was able to grab easy velocity and make hitters uncomfortable in the box. As the righty continues to develop he will be an uncommitted name to watch in the 2026 class. 

MIF Jaylen Ware (Simeon Career Academy, 2026)
Athletic, 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame, impressed at the plate, finding consistent barrels en route to a White Sox Ace’s win both Friday and Saturday morning. The right-handed bat Friday morning went 4-for-4 with three singles and a double into the left-center gap. Then Saturday morning went 3-for-3 with four RBI’s, including a pull-side RBI single to get his team on the board in the first inning, opposite gap three RBI double in the second inning, and a hustle infield single in the third inning. Out of the two spot in the order, he demonstrated a consistent gap to gap approach with the ability to work counts and put together battling at-bats. Displayed a flat bat path, quick and explosive hands, minimal load, connected back and lead arm, balanced lower half, and a front foot pick up and put down timing process. The uncommitted Ware will be a rising player to monitor with room for further development.   

LF Myles Broome  (Brother Rice, 2027)
Displaying an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-9, 165-pound display with room for growth, Broome was impressive at the plate for the Chicago White Sox Ace. The right handed batter went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI hitting a line drive to center field and a line drive to right field. Mechanically, Broome has high hands at the plate with a long stride. He portrays a quick bat speed with a level swing.

GRB Rays Illinois Yellow

RHP Ethan Riska (McHenry, 2026) 
A filled-out, 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, Riska could not be hit in his start Friday afternoon. The righty threw a five-inning no-hitter walking one batter and striking out five. His fastball was sitting 78-82 mph and the curveball was sitting 66-67 mph. He threw from a whippy short arm which led to his fastball getting up and on hitters. He filled the zone with his fastball letting his fielders work for him. His curveball was used more as a freeze pitch creating a handful of strikeouts looking. His command and ability to attack hitters early was Riska’s way to this dominate no-hitter. 

GRB Rays North Green

C Cruz Palubicki (Crandon, 2026)
Palubicki burst onto the scene this past weekend, presenting a compact frame with plenty of strength that showed quality actions behind the plate and a good feel to hit. On Friday, in particular, the right-handed hitter would go 2-for-2 with a home run and double. At the plate, Palubicki presents an athletic stance, looking to get leverage on the baseball with an uphill bat path. Behind the plate, the backstop showed quality defensive instincts, which played up throughout the weekend. 

LHP Paxton Schuh (Kaukauna, 2026)
Schuh emerged as a left-handed arm to follow in Wisconsin's rising junior class this past weekend, presenting a projectable frame with impressive stuff on the mound. The fastball would sit in the 82-84 mph range and was paired with a slider in the low-70s. Coming from a low 3/4s arm slot with deceptive actions, Schuh did a great job of keeping hitters off balance. 

LHP Bron Schaefer  (Kaukauna, 2026)
Possessing an athletic 6-foot, 168.9 pound frame with room for added strength, Bron Schaefer was lights out on the mound for GRB Rays North. The lefty came in to relief and threw two innings not allowing a single hit or walk while striking out five. Schaefer works quickly on the mound, not allowing much time for the hitter to adjust. He has a quick leg kick and a long stride. He short arms on his delivery throwing out of a 3/4 arm slot. His 80-84 mph fastball shows to be firm and have a lot of spin. He pounds his fastball on the corners of the plate and will throw a 70-72 mph sweeping slider once in a while. At the plate, Schaefer batted lead-off going 1-for-1 with two walks. He has a narrow stance with low hands and a high leg kick while remaining loose and relaxed. 

LHP Brett Rybarczyk  (Sheboygan North, 2026)
Portraying an athletic and strong 6-foot-1, 178-pound build, Rybarcyk put on a show on the mound and at the plate. Rybarczyk started the game on the bump throwing two innings not allowing a single earned run and only giving up one hit. Rybarczyk works down the mound fully extending over his front leg. He fully extends his arm in his delivery and throws out of a 3/4 arm slot. The lefty possesses an 80-83 mph firm fastball complemented by a 74-75 mph sweeping slider. At the plate, the left-handed batter went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored two runs. He’s loose and easy-going in the box with a long stride and smooth level swing. 

GRB Rays North Yellow

3B/RHP Teegan Karpinske (Appleton North, 2026)
Karpinske showed an intriguing two-way profile this past weekend, showing quality actions on the mound and at the plate. At the plate, the right-handed hitter found loud barrels all weekend, using his strong 6-foot, 192-pound frame to create leverage. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher showed quality actions coming from a deceptive 3/4 arms slot. The fastball sat in the 78-82 mph range and was paired with a low-70s slider.

Halos National 2026

RHP Shane Kimmel (Brookfield, 2026) 
A 5-foot-10, 206-pound frame, Kimmel tossed a gem for the Halos in their win over the Grizzlies. The right-handed pitch tossed seven innings, allowing one run, three walks, and one hit while striking out seven. The fastball sat 74-78 mph topping out at 79 mph and the curveball sat 65-66 mph. The fastball had late life to it in the zone, creating whiffs and soft contact outs, while the curveball had effective spin, being able to freeze hitters and create bad swings. The command for Kimmel was there as he pounded the strike zone attacking hitters early and often. He had to work out of some trouble in certain innings but was always able to find outs when he needed it the most. 

Hitters 2026 Navy

RHP Caleb Johns (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2026)
Possessing a strong and athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame, Caleb Johns got the win on the mound for Hitters Navy. Johnson threw four innings only giving up one earned run and two hits. Mechanically, the righty displays a smooth and easy delivery with a high leg kick and low 3/4 arm slot. Johns consistently threw a running 80-85 mph fastball the whole game touching 86 mph. He pounded the outside and inside corners on batters which jammed them creating weak contact. 

RHP Cameron Carter (Arrowhead, 2026)
Carter, a 6-foot-4, 170 pound frame had an impressive outing this weekend against the Midwest Halos. He tossed a complete game with 13 punchouts and only allowed one hit. Carter's fastball was sitting 85-88 mph and topping out at 88 mph, exploding out of the hand with finish through the zone. The curveball was sitting 75-77 mph with 2250 rpm, showing depth and pairing effectively off fastballs at the top of the zone. Mechanically he has a clean and smooth delivery throwing from a high ¾ slot. High-upside arm set to toe the rubber for Wisconsin at the Future Games in a couple weeks. 

MIF Charlie Fitzke (Milton, 2026)
5-foot-7, 156-pound frame. Fitzke showed well throughout the course of the weekend for the Hitters Navy unit—including a solid performance on Friday, where he finished with a pair of hits. Fitzke was a standout from the winter—setting himself up for a quality spring and summer. The to-be junior is a scrappy defender on the infield with an accurate arm—making the routine plays with ease. He has above average speed on the basepaths, too. Fitzke is an athletic mover in all facets of the game, projecting as a quality bat at the top of many lineups.

1B Dominic Santarelli (Kenosha St. Joseph, 2026; Louisville commit)
6-foot, 208-pound frame. Santarelli looked the part as one of the top prospects in not only Wisconsin, but in the Midwest during tournament play this weekend, as our staff got another look at the No. 2 ranked player in the state after a strong showing at the State Tournament for the Lancers. Santarelli presented an ease to his game, consistently making hard contact at the plate. He wound up being the difference-maker for his team in game one of the weekend, barreling up two singles in a narrow victory. Santarelli is an advanced defender at first base, too. The to-be junior showcased smooth actions with the glove—making difficult picks in addition to throws to second base with tight windows. He continues to show well after a stellar spring, where he garnered First Team All-State honors at the first base position. 

C Jack Spielmann (Milton, 2027)
6-foot, 165-pound frame. Spielmann, playing a year up, was a quality piece in the lineup for Hitters Navy, in addition to working well behind the dish. The to-be sophomore caught a couple of barrels throughout the weekend, including one on Sunday. He continues to shine on a big stage after showing well at the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games as a member of Team Wisconsin back in July of 2023. Spielmann currently ranks at No. 2 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class—excelling at the catcher position with a mature arm and quality footwork. Spielmann has continued to emerge as a name-to-know in the Badger State’s rising sophomore unit. 

Hitters 2026 White

RHP Garrett Priebe (Brookfield Academy, 2026)
Priebe got a start for Hitters White on Friday morning and turned in a strong performance to pick up a win. The right-handed arm tossed the complete game and allowed just four hits and two three runs, two of which were earned. However, Priebe’s performance was highlighted by his 10 strikeouts which kept the game manageable at all times. Priebe’s fastball topped at 81 mph and lived at 78-80 mph, but carried through the zone with life. In addition, the starter used his curveball at a heavy usage which spun at 2,300 rpm and sat at 70-73 mph. The breaking pitch caught numerous swings-and-misses and was a big piece of the standout performance on Friday.

1B Mack Endres (Oak Creek, 2026)
Coming off a strong spring for Oak Creek, Endres hit well throughout the weekend and was a standout from Hitters White. Listed at 6-foot-2, 208 pounds, Endres presents a strong frame with evenly proportioned strength. The right-handed hitter has a wide base that starts with an open front foot, working back to even with his stride. Flat path through the zone, hands look to stay inside the ball, finished Saturday’s game going 2-for-3. 

Illinois Braves

1B Cam Schluter  (St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026)
Presenting a strong and full 5-foot-11, 205-pound frame, Schluter has a lot of power to his bat. The left-handed batter went 2-for-3 at the plate including an intentional walk. His first hit was a double to right field followed by a homer to right that hit the foul pole. Schluter is tall, loose and relaxed at the plate. He has a powerful, easy, and compact swing with slight lift.

Illinois Lighting 16u 2026

RHP Brett Beerbower (Lakes, 2026)
6-foot-1, 195-pound build, the right hander dominated on the mound in his start Friday morning. Beerbower worked a two pitch mix including a fastball which was 77-80 mph and a curveball at 67-69 mph. The fastball had arm side run which helped limit barrels throughout his outing. Finished the day throwing a five inning complete game with two hits, no runs, one walk, and nine strikeouts. Used his fastball to create many swings and misses late in counts as well as keeping hitters off balance with the curveball. 

Illinois Premier 2026-Lis

3B Jonathan Liesen (Reavis, 2026)
Lean, 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame, had several clutch at-bats out of the three spot in the order during Illinois Premier Lis’ Saturday afternoon pool-play game. The right-handed bat went 3-for-3, showcasing a center to pull approach with a pull-side single in the first inning and pull-side RBI single in the sixth inning, in addition to showing off the power with a solo homerun to straightaway centerfield in the third inning. Presented a fluid swing, on-time stride and front foot, still head at the point of contact, forceful hip torque, strong top hand, and a flat bat path. Defensively, he would also contribute at third base with a gloveside diving play and visible first step quickness. A productive day for the uncommitted Liesen. 

RHP Caden Kendall (Andrew, 2026) 
5-foot-9, 167-pound athletic frame, Kendall gave a quality start in Premiers final game against Rhino Boyette. The right-hander tossed four innings only allowing one run. With a fluid high kick motion that is followed by a quick snapping arm, Kendall was able to generate soft contact outs and have effective innings. His fastball was sitting at 79-84 mph, the curveball was at 66-68 mph, and the change-up was 74 mph. The changeup played well off of the fastball and the curveball was used more as a chase pitch. Kendall was able to attack hitters early and command the strike zone. He let his fielders work for him and got outs. 

C Nolan Kendall (Andrew, 2026)
An athletic, 5-foot-0, 161-pound frame, Kendall had an all-around game Sunday night. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with two singles. The first single was a hustle play as he beat out a hard ground ball to the shortstop, while the second single was an oppo barrel to left. He sets up in a wide stance and has a quick bat that keeps the barrel in the zone, with the ability to go either way with the ball. Behind the plate, Kendall is athletic and moves well with soft hands. 

OF Ty Hudik (Lincoln Way East, 2026)  
An athletic, 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame, Hudik had a great day at the plate in his two games Sunday. The right-handed hitter ended the day going 5-for-5 including a triple and a pair of singles. He showed a great approach at the plate finding balls he could drive into the gaps. An easy swing that lets the hands work, finding barrels with ease. Hudik also moves well around the bases and in the outfield making a handful of plays. 

SS Billy Main (Hinsdale Central, 2026)
Main showed good defensive prowess at shortstop throughout this past weekend, with his baseball IQ and athleticism allowing his 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame to play up. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a line-drive approach with an athletic stance and flat bat path. Main is a must-know name in the rising junior class. 

RHP Ian Campbell (Joliet Catholic, 2026)
Currently ranked No. 47 in the state. Physical, 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame. Campbell showed off impressive juice from the right side, homering twice on the first day of pool play. He later showed off his premier arm-strength on the mound, topping out at 88 mph while cruising in the mid-80s.

SS  Tyler Buehler  (Manteno, 2026)
Possessing an athletic 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame with a lot of room for added strength, Tyler Buehler put on a show at the plate and in the field for Illinois Premier. Buehler reached every time he was up to bat going 1-for-1 with a walk and two RBIs. He has an easy and simple swing with a small stride, getting the barrel to the ball quickly. In the field, Buehler got to any ball he could get. He also had an impressive diving catch in the second inning.

Impact Sports Academy Black 2026

3B Moxson Kernz  (2026)
Portraying an athletic and strong 5-foot-7, 161-pound frame with room for growth, Moxson Kernz put on a show for Impact Baseball Academy. The right handed hitter reached base every time going 4-for-4 being consistent hitting the ball toward left center. Mechanically, Kernz has loose hands reaching out close to the plate. He has a small leg kick with a smooth and level swing. Kernz is agile in the field and covers a lot of ground at third base. He made a very nice diving catch on a line drive almost doubling up the runner at first base. 

C Collin Thorne (Kohler, 2026)
6-foot-1, 240-pound frame, put together a couple of quality at-bats in ISA Black’s 15-0 win Friday morning. The right-handed bat went 1-for-2 with three RBI’s, including a two RBI opposite field double and bases loaded walk, both of which put the game out of reach early. Presented a toe tap for timing, short load, opposite field approach, and flat bat path. Consistently looked to attack fastballs early in counts, producing hard contact in two of the three at-bats. A productive day for Thorne, hitting out of the cleanup spot. 

LHP Coy DeVries (Ripon, 2026)
Wiry, 5-foot-10, 142-pound frame, cruised in his three inning start during ISA Black’s 15-0 win Friday morning. The left-hander gave up no hits while striking out three and walking one, utilizing a two pitch mix and getting ahead of hitters consistently throughout the outing. Showcased a ¾ arm slot, long arm swing, long stride, and worked from the extreme third base ride of the rubber. Fastball sat from 74-76 mph, topping at 77, backed by a wipeout slider at 68-70 mph. A strong shutdown performance from DeVries.

SS Gavin Pusick (Coleman, 2026)
Pusick continued to show quality actions this past weekend, presenting a 5-foot-5, 151-pound frame that has continuously played up. The right-handed hitter presented a balanced setup with an aggressive approach. A name to follow in Wisconsin's rising junior class.

OF Thomas Carew (Appleton North, 2026)
Carew showed an intriguing LHH/CF profile this past weekend, taking quality swings while showing rangy actions in the outfield. The rising junior presents an athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with there being room for added strength. At the plate, the left-handed hitter presented a calm presence in the box that was paired with an athletic left-handed swing. An up-the-middle name to follow in the 2026 Class. 

Impact Sports Academy Royal 2026

RHP Matthew Hietpas  (Appleton North, 2026)
Portraying a strong 5-foot-10, 174-pound frame, Hietpas was shoving on the mound for Impact Baseball. The righty threw three innings in order to save his arm for later in the weekend. Hietpas only gave up three hits while striking out five. His fastball topped 84 mph and sat 80-83 throughout the first three innings. He complemented his fastball with a 69-71 mph curveball. The difference in speed had hitters off-balance. Mechanically, Hietpas is relaxed and loose on the mound and has a long stride with the ball leave his hand easily. 

RHP Lennox Peacock (Escanaba, 2026)
Peacock would provide another quality outing this past weekend with the right-handed pitcher stepping on the mound Saturday against the Louisville Legends. The rising junior would pitch five innings, allowing two runs with ten strikeouts. The fastball would sit in the 80-83 mph range and would be grouped with an upper-60s breaking ball and low-70s offspeed. 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame with room for added strength.

UTL Tristin Hundt (North, 2026)
Hundt would continue to show a quality profile this past weekend, highlighted by a left-handed swing with present athleticism. The rising junior has shown an ability to play quality based at up-the-middle positions throughout the summer, and this weekend was no different as he showed solid defensive instincts in centerfield. At the plate, the left-handed hitter presents an effective line-drive approach coming from an athletic stance with loose hands. 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. 

C Laliwa Delgado (West De Pere, 2026)
Delgado has continued to show a quality profile this summer with confident defense and an athletic right-handed swing. At the plate, Delgado presents a wider base with a simple stride that allows him to consistently get into a good position to hit. The rising junior additionally presents a strong 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame with present athleticism.

RHP Braylon Brantner (Hortonville, 2026)
Currently ranked No. 59 in the state. 5-foot-8, 145-pound frame, athletic with room for added strength. The right-hander impressed over a couple different looks this weekend. Compact, repeatable delivery that moves well down the mound, arm is quick into a high ¾ release. His fastball cruised in the low-80s, topping out at 84 mph earlier in the week. He showed innate feel to spin his breaking balls, the first being a curveball around 66-69 mph with depth and 11/5 shape; while the second was a shorter and firmer slider in the low-70s, both thrown for strikes and to put hitters away.

C/DH Brodie Allram (Saint Croix Falls, 2026)
Allram has shown a quality profile to our staff over the last couple of weeks, highlighted by a solid right-handed swing with present strength and athleticism. In setup, the right-handed hitter presents an open stance with his hands near his chest, moving into an athletic position to hit via a leg kick. Allram showed twitchy movements throughout the weekend that allowed his present tools to play up. 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame.

OF Alex Hoff (Saint Croix Falls, 2026)
Hoff is yet another name on this ISA West Royal squad that has just continuously performed in front of our staff. At the plate, the left-handed hitter presents a line-drive approach with a relaxed setup and simple trigger, staying athletic throughout the course of the swing. 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. 

OF Sam Manchester (Hudson, 2026)
Manchester consistently found the barrel this past weekend, acting as a table-setter at the top of the ISA West Royal lineup. The left-handed hitter presents an athletic stance with a flat bat path, looking to do damage with a line drive approach. Speed was also a prominent part of Manchester's game as he moved well on the bases and showed rangy actions in CF. 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame with room for added strength.

RHP Peter Ward (Zionsville, 2026)
Ward would show an intriguing profile on the mound this past weekend that was highlighted by a fastball that sat in the 85-87 (T88) mph range and was paired with a low-70s breaking ball. An athletic mover on the mound, Ward presented a 6-foot-2, 168-pound frame with room for strength gains throughout. A must-know name in the 2026 Class. 

SS Blake Riggs (Noblesville, 2026)
Riggs would show quality actions throughout the weekend, sitting at the top of the Indiana Bulls lineup and acting as their shortstop. At the plate, the left-handed hitter presents an upright stance, utilizing a leg kick to get into a position to hit with a slightly uphill swing path. Athletic frame with room for growth. 

3B Silas Neal (Carmel, 2026)
Neal presented an intriguing LHH/3B profile with athleticism that would likely translate at shortstop. At the plate, Neal stands straight launching into an athletic position in stride with an uphill swing path. Athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame.

DH/LHP Luke Goben (Andrean, 2026)
Goben showed quality actions this past weekend, acting as an offensive catalyst for his Indiana Bulls squad with a crouched left-hand swing and simple trigger. Goben showed a controlled approach throughout the weekend with results that came accordingly. On the mound, the left-handed pitcher showed an upper-70s fastball that was paired with a breaking that sat in the 63-64 mph range. 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame.

C Christian Clark (Mount Carmel, 2026)
Clark presented an intriguing profile this past weekend with confident defensive actions behind the plate and an above-average arm defensively. At the plate, the right-handed hitter presents a crouched stance with a bat tilt, utilizing his present athleticism to get into a position to hit. Strong 5-foot-10, 195-pound frame.

RHP Brooks Riggs (Noblesville, 2026)
Riggs would have a quality day on the mound Saturday, throwing a complete game, 7-inning shutout, inducing weak contact throughout the outing. Riggs' fastball would sit in the 77-81 mph range and was paired with a breaking ball in the low 70s. 6-foot, 175-pound frame.

1B Jake Winger (McCutcheon, 2026)
Displaying a lengthy and strong 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame, Jake Winger was slugging the ball for the Indiana Nitro. The right-handed batter reached every time he was up to bat going 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI’s, spreading the field to left, center, and right. Mechanically, Winger is tall at the plate with loose hands and a long stride. He has an easy and simple swing possessing slight lift. 

2B David Pina  (Fishers, 2026)
Displaying a strong and athletic 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame, David Pina has a lot of power to his bat and was slugging the ball for Indiana Nitro. The right-handed batter went 2-for-2 at the plate with a sac fly, two doubles and three RBIs. Pina starts with a relaxed stance and low hands. He follows this up with a high leg kick and an aggressive turn displaying a quick bat speed with slight lift. He covered a lot of ground at second base not letting any ground balls get past him. 

RHP Charlie Cotter  (Brebeuf, 2026)
Possessing a strong and muscular 6-foot, 195-pound frame, Charlie Cotter got the win on the mound for the Indiana Nitro against Impact Sports Academy. The righty threw four innings only allowing three hits and no runs. Cotter has simple mechanics as he throws out of a 3/4 arm slot staying closed throughout his delivery while riding his back leg down the mound. Cotter shows off a 78-82 mph fastball that displays slight run, a 73 mph diving changeup, and a sharp 68-71 mph curveball.

RHP Dylan Cope (Hamilton Southeastern, 2026)
A strong, 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame, Cope showed well in his start Sunday afternoon against the Illinois Lighting. The right-handed pitcher tossed four innings striking out a pair and limiting walks and hits. Cope was fastball heavy with it sitting at 77-81 mph while flashing a curveball at 67 mph. The fastball was effective with glove side run generating lots of ground balls. Cope had effective command and was able to fill the zone getting soft contact outs. 

SS Eli Sinsabaugh (Cathedral, 2026) 
An athletic, 5-foot-9, 148-pound frame, Sinsabaugh showed well with the bat and the glove Sunday afternoon. The right-handed hitter reached base twice including a line drive single. He showed a two-strike approach able to shorten up, finding a barrel and driving it to the pull side. The maturity at the plate was clear as he worked counts and took each pitch with intent. Sinsabaugh has a simple but quick swing with hands that stay compact and through the zone. With the glove, Sinsabaugh impressed, showing fluid footwork that works through the ball and quick hands followed by a strong arm. With these types of performances, Sinsabaugh is an uncommitted name to watch in the 2026 class. 

RHP Hayden Werner (Fishers, 2026) 
A lean, 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, Werner impressed in his relief appearance this Sunday afternoon. The right-handed pitcher collected three strikeouts while allowing zero runs. On the mound, Werner has a fluid high kick motion that is followed by a quick arm from the ¾ slot. His fastball sat 83-85 mph and the curveball sat 68-70 mph. The fastball had late glove side run, able to generate multiple whiffs. With effective command of both pitches, Werner was able to make quick work of hitters not allowing a single hit. 

Louisville Legends 2026 American

SS Trey Floden (Martha Layne Collins, 2026) 
An athletic, 5-foot-10, 130-pound frame, Floden started the game on the mound, but where he stood out was with the bat. The right-handed hitter put together good at-bats collecting a pair of hits during the Legends game against the GRB Rays. Floden showed rhythm in the box and the ability to fight through pitches until he got on he could drive. He sets up in a wider set stance, with quick hands that stay compact and keep the barrel in the zone. His quick hands help him drive the ball and find gaps in the outfield. 

C Noah Fox (Frankfort, 2026)
5-foot-9, 164-pound frame, contributed on both sides of the ball during Lousiville Legends Americans’ Friday night pool-play game. The right-handed bat went 2-for-3, demonstrating a center to pull approach with a single up the middle and pull-side RBI single to pull his team within one run at the time. Utilized a short stride, forceful hip torque, and balanced lower half. Defensively, he showed horizontal quickness, squaring up on blocks and consistently deadening rebounds, making several stops that saved runs. A productive game for Fox. 

Louisville Legends 2026 National

SS Chase Farmer (Pulaski County, 2026)
Physical, 6-foot, 170-pound frame, produced on both sides of the ball in Louisville Legends Nationals’ Saturday afternoon pool-play game. Offensively, the right-handed bat went 2-for-3, demonstrating noticeable pull-side power with a double in the first inning and ringing two RBI double to put his team on the board in the fourth inning. Showcased a slightly open stance, proper weight distribution, small leg kick, high handed load, and strong forearms. Displayed advanced pitch recognition, regularly taking close breaking balls and staying within his zone. Defensively, completed three putouts and showed off above average gloveside range and a strong arm. The uncommitted Farmer profiles as a top of the order bat with exciting potential for further growth, currently ranked No. 48 overall in Kentucky.  

Louisville Vipers

RHP Kellen Goodman  (Louisville Male, 2026)
Displaying a 6-foot, 165-pound frame with room for added strength, Kellen Goodman was impressive on the mound for the Louisville Vipers. The righty came in to relief, throwing three innings and only giving up four hits. Goodman is tall and relaxed on the mound. He hides the ball well from the batter and steps toward the right handed batter’s box on his delivery. He hides the ball well from the batter on his windup as he short arms it on the way back and delivers with a high 3/4 arm slot. Goodman throws a firm 80-84 mph fastball complemented by a 73-75 mph slider that he uses back door on left handed batters.

C Gabe Wright (Frederick Douglass, 2026) 
A strong 6-foot-3, 185-pound athletic frame, Wright impressed with the glove in the Vipers last game Sunday afternoon. First, at the plate, Wright didn’t get much of an opportunity, walking and getting hit by a pitch, but he did show a good approach and a swing that has potential once given a pitch to drive. Behind the plate is where Wright stood out, although splitting innings, Wright still was able to stand out as an athletic body with a laser arm recording a 1.90 pop time in between innings. Wright threw multiple runners out with on-the-bag throws and was explosive out of his stance. He moved well behind the plate and showed the ability to frame pitches with soft hands and a string forearm. Wright is a solidified catcher and will be a name to watch in Kentucky. 

MASH 16u Maroon

SS Garrett Wheeler (Minnetonka, 2026)
Wheeler showed a quality left-handed bat this past weekend with quick hands and quality athletic rhythm throughout his swing. Wheeler presents a slightly open stance and a slightly uphill bat path. Defensively, the shortstop also showed fluid actions paired with an above-average arm. On Friday, Wheeler stepped onto the mound in a brief start. In said start, Wheeler had his fastball top out at 84 mph while it sat 81-83 mph. To complement, he tossed a slider that spun at 2,200-2,300 rpm and lived at 68-73 mph. In addition, the right-handed arm mixed in a change-up around 74 mph sporadically.

RHP Ryan Hjellming (Cannon Falls, 2026)
Hjellming showed a quality profile on the mound this past weekend. The rising junior presented a fastball-heavy approach, looking to dominate with an 84-87 mph offering. Athletic 5-foot-11, 160-pound with room for added strength. Should be a name to follow as he matures in his physical and mechanical game. 

1B Grady Renwick (Farmington, 2026)  
A strong, 6-foot-3, 185-pound, filled-out frame, Renwick impressed with the bat in Mash’s final game this Sunday. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with a double and single showing a good approach at the plate. His hands work through the ball and create a level bat path that can drive the ball to all parts of the field. His hips generate easy power and keep him balanced. As he continues to swing a hot bat, Renwick will be a name to watch in the Gopher state. 

C/2B/RHP Ethan Ruiz (St. Thomas Academy, 2026)
5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, threw a quality three and two thirds innings in Mash Maroon’s 8-5 win Saturday morning. The right-hander was a fluid mover that utilized a pitch to contact approach, striking out two and limiting hard contact throughout the outing. Showed a ¾ arm slot, back leg sink and drive, easy arm speed, and first base side lean. Fastball was consistently thrown for strikes early in counts and sat from 79-81 mph, topping at 82, backed by a 2/8 curveball sitting from 63-65 mph and a changeup at 74-75 mph. A strong start for Ruiz. 

MBA 16u - Thelen

RHP Cail Geiger (Menomonee Falls, 2026) 
Geiger was dominant on Thursday morning as he earned a victory over four innings of work. Over the four frames, Geiger allowed no runs on just one hit, striking out nine in the process. The right-hander’s fastball was up to 89 mph while it sat 86-89 mph and spun at 2,300 to 2,400 rpm and landed on the outside corner for strikes. Geiger also featured two types of fastball, a two-seam and four-seam with the prior being a go-to. For offspeed, Geiger spun a tight slider at 78-79 mph and spun it around 2,300 rpm. The put-away pitch garnered plenty of swings-and-misses and was one facet of many in a lights-out showing from Geiger.

RHP Linus Pajot (Whitefish Bay, 2026)
Wiry, 5-foot-10, 133-pound frame, dominated on the mound in the back half of MBA Thelen’s 4-3 win Saturday night. The right-hander closed out the final three innings, striking out five, and surrendering no runs. Demonstrated an advanced ability to spin and locate his breaking ball in the strike zone, creating off-balance swings and misses. Utilized a slight offset third base side stride, ¾ arm slot, winding arm action, and twitchy movements. Fastball was used up in the zone to set up the curveball and sat from 76-78 mph. Curveball had a true 2/8 shape that was thrown for strikes and used as a wipeout pitch, sitting from 65-67 mph. An impressive outing from Pajot. 

Midwest Halos Scout 2026

1B Ty Glysch (Muskego, 2026)
Possessing a strong and muscular 6-foot-3, 205-pound build, Ty Glysch helped the Halos get the 10-0 win over Prime. The left-handed batter reached every time he was up going 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI’s. Glysch can spread the field as two of his hits (including the double) went to left. Mechanically, Glysch bats with high hands and a narrow stance. He displays a small toe tap and a quick bat with a powerful swing that has slight lift. At first base, he did not let any balls that were thrown over get by him.

RHP Ethan Karaszewski  (East, 2026)
Displaying a slim and athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with a long lower half and room for growth, Ethan Karaszewski got the win for the Halos on the mound. The righty threw four innings while only giving up two hits. Mechanically, Karaszewski is tall and loose on the mound. He throws out of a 3/4 arm slot and short arms it on his delivery. He works quick on the mound and has a firm 77-80 mph fastball that he hits the corners with in addition to a 63-64 mph sharp curveball that he throws for strikes. 

RHP Jayden Pryor (Oak Creek, 2026)
Pryor showed a quality profile on the mound this past weekend with a fastball that sat in the 81-83 mph range with an arm-side run. The right-handed pitcher would also show a breaking ball in the low 70s. Projectable 6-foot-3, 165-pound frame. 

RHP Bradley McCarthy (Badger, 2026)
McCarthy would show some impressive arm talent this weekend with a fastball that sat in the 84-86 mph range topping out at 88 mph. He would also show a slider in the low-70s. Athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame. 

Minnesota Starters - 16U National

RHP Matt Mieras (Waconia, 2026)
A strong, 6-foot-1, 207-pound frame, Mieras impressed in his relief appearance this Sunday morning. Although primarily a catcher, Mieras came out on the mound and gave an intriguing look. Although he only threw his fastball it was sitting 80-84 mph, topping at 85 mph with late run. He worked quickly with a fluid motion with clean arm action, pitching with intent in the zone. With the addition of some off-speed pitches, Mieras has the potential to be a threat on the mound. 

SS Martin Hirte (St. Louis Park, 2026)
5-foot-10, 165-pound frame, produced quality at-bats, collecting a couple of barrels in the Staters’ 10-8 win Friday afternoon. The right-handed bat had three hits, including a pull-side single, RBI single up the middle to put his team on the board, and a hustle infield single. Displayed quick hands, a balanced lower half, and an efficient load. He also showed soft hands at shortstop, collecting three putouts. A quality game for Hirte.     

OF Joey Limric (Maple Grove, 2026)
Athletic, 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, showed above average gap to gap range defensively in the Starters’ 10-8 win Friday afternoon. He made a pair of extra-base saving leaping grabs, displaying an ability to keep a steady head while tracking fly balls both behind and in front of his starting point; showcased noticeable closing speed. The left-handed bat would also add a pair of singles, one of which was a hustle infield single. Limric profiles as a leadoff bat.

LHP Miles Jungroth (St. Louis Park, 2026)
A well proportioned 6-foot, 193 pound frame Jungroth had an impressive outing against Strikes Baseball Red. He went 5IP with 11 punch outs. The left-hander was pounding the zone with his two pitch mix. The fastball was sitting 84-85 mph topping out at 86 mph. The slider was sitting 76-77. Mechanically he has a short arm action but releases from a high ¾ and a clean delivery off the mound as well. 

MN Blizzard Red

RHP Peyton Tellejohn (Le Sueur-Henderson, 2026)
Portraying a strong and muscular 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame Peyton Tellejohn got the win on the mound for the Minnesota Blizzard. The righty was pounding the zone, throwing seven innings, not allowing any walks and striking out eleven. Tellejohn is tall and relaxed on the mound, consistently changing up his timing and fully extending on his follow through out of a low 3/4 arm slot. His fastball sat 78-81 mph topping 82 mph with slight run/sink to it. His fastball was complemented by a 67-70 mph spinning curveball.                                  

MN Grizzlies 16U

1B Dominic Barth (St. Louis Park, 2026)
Displaying a strong and proportionate 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame, Dominic Barth was seeing the ball well for the MN Grizzlies. The left-handed batter went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI. Barth bats with an open stance having loose hands out front over the plate. He has a small stride with a level swing and quick bat. In addition to his offense, Barth was impressive at first base making a lot of heads up plays, preventing runs scoring by throwing runners out at home over tagging first base to get the easy out. 

Outlaws Baseball 16U Black

RHP Jarek Quinn  (Richwoods, 2026)
Displaying a strong, athletic, and proportionate 6-foot, 180-pound frame, Quinn was dealing for the Outlaws. The righty threw four innings not allowing an earned run while striking out eight. Mechanically, Quinn displays a high leg kick and long stride while fully extending his arm in his windup with a 3/4 arm slot. He has a 80-83 mph sinking fastball as well as a 74-78 mph cutter that he throws most of the time in addition to a sharp 68-70 mph curveball. Quinn’s sinker cutter combo can be a threat to opposing hitters. 

SS/RHP Simon Malcolm (Dunlap, 2026)
Lean, 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame, contributed on the mound, in the field, and at the plate in the Outlaws’ 7-1 win Friday night. The right-hander went 1-for-3 with a pull-side double, run scored, and an RBI groundout, putting his team up 5-1 at the time. Defensively, he made a run saving diving play that limited fifth inning damage to one run, showcasing first step quickness and above average gloveside range. He would go on to close out the game on the mound, pitching two scoreless frames and striking out five in the process. Fastball was firm and sat from 77-79 mph, backed by a 12/6 curveball at 68-70 mph from an over the top arm slot. An overall productive day for Malcolm. 

RHP/INF Andrew Dawson (Tremont, 2026) 
Currently ranked No. 35 in the state. Listed at 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, some present strength in the lower-half. Dawson gave an impressive two-way look over the weekend, launching multiple home runs over the course of the tournament, staying on the barrel routinely. He stood out most notably on the mound, working his fastball up to 88 mph while holding 83-85 mph throughout his entire outing, going to a sharp slider in the upper-70s to change up the pace. Competitor on the mound, attacks the zone with all offerings. 

Prospect Training Academy 16U Cardinal

SS/RHP Brayden Alivo (St. Thomas More, 2027)
Alivo, a 5-foot-9, 166-pound, two-way athlete, showed well this past weekend as a standout performer for PTA Cardinal. At the plate, Alivo’s ability to work deep into counts is apparent as the toolsy shortstop showed said ability early on in the weekend. Similarly, Alivo has a clear feel for situational hitting as he was able to push across runs when needed. In the field, Alivo’s glove plays at shortstop and he flashed a stronger arm that changed arm slots at will.

LHP Montgomery O’Brien (Wauwatosa East, 2026)
Possessing an athletic and lengthy 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame, Montgomery O’Brien was shoving on the mound for Prospect Training Academy. The lefty threw for 4.1 innings only giving up two hits and striking out six. Mechanically, he is tall on the mound and fully extends stepping toward the left-handed batter’s box with a high 3/4 arm slot. O’Brien’s fastball topped 86 and was sitting 80-84 mph most of the game. His 12-6 curveball is thrown a lot slower at 67-71 mph which keeps the hitters off balance.

RHP Mason Shore (N/A, 2026)
Shore showed a solid profile on the mound this past weekend, working with a quick tempo while showing a two-pitch mix. The right-handed pitcher had athletic actions on the mound, coming from a 3/4 arm slot with a fastball in the 79-81 mph range that was paired with a deceptive low-70s slider.

PTA 16U South

SS Ryan Scholberg (Richmond-Burton, 2026)
5-foot-10, 130-pound frame, manufactured quality at-bats out of the leadoff spot in PTA South’s Friday afternoon pool-play game. The right handed bat applied an opposite field approach and went 2-for-4 with an opposite gap double in the first inning and single up the middle in the sixth inning. Exhibited a strong top hand and athletically fluid lower half. A productive day for Scholberg. 

LF Preston Ciurro  (Mukwonago, 2026)
Displaying a lengthy and athletic 6-foot, 140-pound frame, Preston Ciurro was seeing the ball well for PTA South. Ciurro went 3-for-4 on the day with three RBI’s. He is extremely quick out of the box and the base paths as he ended up beating out a ground ball that was hit to the right side of the infield. Ciurro has an easy and simple level swing. He also covers a lot of ground in the outfield catching any ball that he can get. 

Rhino Baseball Boyette

LHP Roco Szambelan (Joliet Catholic, 2026) 
A strong, 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame, Szambelan impressed on the mound in his start Friday night against the Strikes Baseball Club. The lefty threw three innings allowing two runs, three hits, and five walks while striking out one. Szambelan has a fluid motion motion that is followed by a loose and quick arm. Working quickly the lefty had scattered command but wasn’t missing by much. He ran into some trouble but found outs, limiting the damage. Szambelan attacks hitters with a two-pitch mix including a 83-86 mph fastball and a 76-78 mph slider that shapes out as a sweeper. Both pitches pair well, able to create soft contact. As Szambelan continues to develop he will be a name to watch as an uncommitted 2026. 

SS Jailen Veliz (Yorkville, 2026) 
An athletic, 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame, Veliz impressed all weekend with his bat and glove. The right-handed hitter had an outstanding weekend going 4-for-7 in three games showing his ability to find barrels and drive balls. Set up the righty has a simple, compact swing with hands that work quickly and keep the barrel in the zone. He shows a presence in the box, able to work counts and recognize spin, keeping his hands strong, and driving through the ball. On the defense side, the shortstop is a calm smooth defender who shows range, able to get to any ball hit in his direction. Veliz has good footwork that works through the ball along with soft quick hands that make transitions with ease. He tops this off with a strong consistent arm that works from a multitude of angles. With these types of weekends, Veliz will be a name to watch in the uncommitted class of 2026. 

OF Dominic Battista (Oswego East, 2026) 
A strong, 5-foot-11, 158-pound athletic frame, Battista gave an intriguing look all weekend. The left-handed hitter constantly found barrels and was able to drive the ball into gaps swinging a hot bat. At the plate, Battista showed rhythm in the box and a mature approach working counts and fighting until he got a pitch to drive. He sets up in an athletic wide-set stance that is followed by quick hips, then quick and strong hands that let the barrel stay in the zone. Battista is able to find barrels and drive the ball to all parts of the field. With the glove, he is a rangy outfielder who moves well and makes proper reads. Battista will be a name to follow in the 2026 class in Illinois as the summer comes to an end. 

OF Rhett Harris (Minooka, 2026) 
An athletic, 6-foot-2, 192-found frame, Harris was swinging a hot bat all weekend long collecting a handful of hits including two doubles. The right-handed hitter was finding barrels and driving the ball to all parts of the field. Harris has a quick bat with a level path that stays through the zone able to generate hard contact to all parts of the field. The righty also showed a good approach at the plate working counts and taking pitches with intent. Harris also moves well showing good actions both on the basepaths and in the outfield, making right reads and jumping at the opportunities to make a play. 

RHP Jackson Schlott (Plainfield North, 2026)
6-foot-1, 230-pound frame, Scholtt impressed on the mound in his start against PTA South. The right-hander tossed four scoreless innings allowing one hit and zero walks while striking out five. On the mound, Scholtt threw from a fluid high kick motion followed by a quick arm with clean actions. He used an effective two-pitch mix of a fastball and curveball, both pairing well able to keep hitters off balance. The fastball was sitting 82-85 mph with lots of ride and the curveball was sitting 73-74 mph with a late break in the zone. Scholtt was able to command both pitches for strikes, attacking hitters early and often. 

RHP Nathan Scates (Plainfield Central, 2026)  
An athletic, 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, Scates gave an impressive look during his start Saturday night. The right-handed pitcher threw five scoreless innings striking out four. With a quick fluid motion, Scates throws it from a loose side-arm slot. He attacked hitters with a two-pitch mix of fastball and slider which paired well with each other leaving hitters guessing. The fastball was sitting 79-82 mph with glove side run, while the slider was sitting 71-74 mph with a sweeper shape. Scates commands the fastball well able to fill up the zone, along with the slider which was constantly placed effectively in the lower half of the zone. As the summer ends the righty will look to continue a dominant season and keep this momentum rolling. 

RHP Chase Dykstra (Fulton, 2026) 
6-foot, 165-pound frame, lean and projectable. The right-hander was dominant Thursday evening, not allowing a single run over six innings of work with nine strikeouts. His fastball cruised around 82-83 mph, topping out at 85 with some life through the zone. His go-to secondary was a curveball in the low-70s with depth. Easy mover that can repeat and attack the zone.

OF Carter Harris  (Normal Community HS, 2026)
Possessing a lengthy 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame with room for added strength, Carter Harris put on a show for the Rhinos. The left handed batter went 2-for-3 with an impressive four RBIs. One hit was a line drive to left field and his other hit was a line drive to center field. Mechanically, Harris stands with his bat on his shoulder with loose hands and a high leg kick. He gets the bat on the ball quickly with a smooth level swing. 

2B Chase Hendren  (Normal Community, 2026)
Displaying an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with plenty of room of added strength, Chase Hendren was seeing the ball well for the Rhinos. The right-handed batter reached every time he was up going 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Hendren stands tall in the box and has a toe tap stride. His swing is easy going and smooth with slight lift as he drives through the ball putting it in play. 

Rhino Baseball K's Academy

RHP/1B Gavin Swartz (Normal Community, 2026)
6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Indiana commit. Although committed to Indiana for his arm, Swartz launched a home run to dead-center on Thursday afternoon. The left-handed hitter featured a smooth, inside-out swing that lifted a ball to add two runs. Swartz eventually gave our staff a look out of the ‘pen Monday, and it was well worth the wait. The right-hander worked his fastball up to 87 mph, cruising around 85-86 mph with easy life through the zone. 

RHP Cade Cunningham (Normal University, 2026)
Cunningham picked up the victory in Rhino’s 2-0 victory on Friday. Cunningham worked efficiently over five and one-thirds innings of work - innings which saw him strikeout eight and allow zero runs. In the strong performance, Cunningham allowed just three hits and ran his fastball up to 82 mph. The right hander also featured offspeed that spun between 2,400 and 2,600 rpm (T2640) and sat at 68-71 mph. Cunningham’s delivery was simple and easy as he had to throw with intent from a 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame. Ultimately, Cunningham’s outing is one that keeps him as an interesting name-to-watch in Illinois’ 2026 class.

C Drew Stevens (Normal Community, 2026) 
5-foot-11, 182-pounds, athletic build that continues to gain strength. Hard worker behind the plate, active and willing blocker that always works to keep the ball in front. Strong hands work to present pitches around the zone. The right-handed hitter had arguably the biggest swing of the entire tournament, delivering a walk-off grand slam to send his team to the finals on Monday. Easy swing that works to stay on top of the baseball, more power to come. 

RHP Josh Jones  (Normal University, 2026)
Displaying a strong and lengthy frame with a long lower half, Josh Jones was impressive in his outing for the Rhinos. The righty threw three innings only allowing three hits and striking out four. Mechanically, Jones rides his back leg with a high leg kick while throwing out of a 3/4 arm slot fully extending his arm in his delivery. He is relaxed on the mound as his pitching looks effortless. Jones has a firm 83-85 mph fastball that touched 86 mph with a diving 73-75 mph changeup and a sharp 70-73 mph curveball. His arsenal had hitters off balance throughout the entire game. 

SS Gavin Michaels  (Normal Community, 2026)
Possessing an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-11, 159-pound frame with room for growth, Gavin Michaels was impressive at the plate, on the bases, and in the field for the Rhinos. The right-handed leadoff batter went 2-for-2 with a walk hitting a ground ball to the left side of the field, then a ground ball to the right side of the field. Michaels is quick out of the box and on the bases as his home-to first time is 4.21 seconds. He stole three bases on the day. Michaels covers a lot of ground in the field and has a smooth and fluid throw from short to first. 

Slammers Black 2026

RHP Chase Lockwood (Libertyville, 2026) 
An athletic, 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, Lockwood was lights out in his Thursday night start. The righty threw five scoreless innings giving up one hit and three walks while striking out nine. He works quickly on the mound out of a fluid motion followed by a loose and quick arm. Lockwood is able to get downhill and create good extension with his arm, which creates deceptive velocity. His fastball was sitting 82-85 mph getting on hitters quickly. The curveball was sitting at 70-71 mph, the slider sitting at 78-80 mph, and the change-up at 77 mph. Lockwood had command of all four of his pitches and generated high spin rates with both the fastball and slider over 2300 rpm. As Lockwood continues to dominate this summer he will be an uncommitted name to watch in the 2026 class. 

LHP Nate Brezak (Lake Forrest, 2026)
An athletic, 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame, Brezak was dominant on the mound Saturday morning. The lefty tossed seven scoreless innings allowing two hits and three walks, while striking out six. On the mound, Brezak works extremely quick throwing from a side-arm slot with clean quick-arm action. His fastball was sitting 76-79 mph and the slider was 71-73 mph. The fastball paired well with a hard gyro slider that was able to generate multiple whiffs.  He also worked out of a lead-off double showing composer on the mound. The lefty was able to command and dominate in the zone allowing him to get quick easy outs. 

DH Nico Harper (Libertyville, 2026) 
An athletic, 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, Harper stood out with the bat in the Slammer game Saturday morning. The left-handed hitter showed maturity in the box working counts until he got a pitch he could drive. Harper sets up in a wider set stance, which is followed by strong quick hands that stay compact and keep the barrel in the zone. He is able to drive the ball to all parts of the field collecting a single and double ending his day going 2-for-3 and a walk. 

St. Louis Naturals

RHP Grant Boland  (Oakville, 2026)
Displaying a lengthy 5-foot-10, 130-pound frame with a long lower half and room for growth, Grant Boland was impressive on the mound for the St. Louis Naturals. The righty threw three innings only giving up three hits while striking out six. The righty takes his time on the mound and throws with a high leg kick and a long stride out of a 3/4 arm slot. His firm fastball is thrown at 78-80 mph complemented with a diving 70-71 mph changeup that dies at the plate. He also has a 62-63 mph curveball that gets hitters off balance.

C Benjamin Drebes  (St. Louis University, 2026)
Possessing an athletic and proportionate 5-foot-6, 140-pound display, Drebes helped the St. Louis naturals get the win over the MN Grizzlies with his offense and defense. The right-handed batter went 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and an RBI spreading the ball to left and right. Drebes bats with a tall and narrow stance and high hands. He has a long stride and a level swing getting the bat to the ball quickly. He is fast on the base paths and quick out of the box. In addition to his offense, Drebes takes charge behind the plate taking over a captain role. He is athletic, not letting any balls pass him. He keeps runners in check on the base paths as he threw a runner out stealing third base early in the game.

RHP Darren Law (Oak Park & River Forest, 2026) 
A Strong, 6-foot-4, 175-pound built frame, Law gave an intriguing look during his start against Rhino Baseball Boyette. The right-hander tossed two innings allowing two earned runs, one hit, and four walks while striking out. Standing on the mound the righty had a fluid motion with a loose, quick arm. His fastball was sitting 80-83 mph and the slider was 73-7 4mph, with the slider flashing sharp 10/4 action. 

RHP/SS Johnny Nelson (Oak Park & River Forest, 2026) 
An athletic, 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame, Nelson showed well on the mound and with the bat. On the mound, the righty came in for relief with a quick, snappy arm. The fastball was sitting 82-85 mph and the curveball was sitting 76-78 mph. He showed command and feel for both pitches, generating outs and limiting damage. With the bat, he found a barrel in his last at-bat lining a double into the left-center gap. He stays compact with quick and strong hands that drive the baseball. Nelson also showed well with the glove at the start of the game making plays with ease and showing quick hands and a strong arm from different slots.  

SS/OF Tyler Edmonson ( Oak Park - River Forest, 2026)
Edmonson, who was a recent standout at the Northwest Suburban ID. Continues to showcase his impressive skill set. At the plate he went 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI against PTA south. Mechanically at the plate he utilized a toe tap and trigger with the hands. Looking to drive the ball into the gaps. Defensively he showed range to the glove side and in the hole at second base. 

RHP Cameron Barnes (Oak Park- River Forest, 2026)
Barnes has an intriguing frame standing at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds. The right handed pitcher had an impressive outing against the Starters Select 16U. Going a complete game with five strikeouts. The fastball was sitting 82-84 mph and topping out at 86 mph. The curveball ranged from 70-71 mph with quality shape. Mechanically he has a fluid delivery and throws from a high ¾ slot. 

Tigers Scout Team 2026

3B Scott Phelps (Father McGivney, 2026) - anyone feel free to add if you saw him
5-foot-11, 153-pound frame. Phelps showed well at The Rock and profiled as an athletic defender with a bat that has a knock for contact to pair. In the field, Phelps showed an above average glove with fluid movements patters and the ability to adjust. The right-handed fielder then showcased a strong arm that could switch arm slots at will. Phelps’ bat was consistently catching pitches with the ability to find holes.

OF Omar Avalos Jr. (Father McGivney, 2027) 
Currently ranked No. 19 in the state. Sparkplug at the top of the order all weekend for the Tigers Scout Team. Flat left-handed swing that stays through the zone, looks to spray the ball to all fields, advanced bat-to-ball and barrel control. High-level defender in the outfield with range and a quick first step, covers ground with ease. High-level prospect to know in the state. 

RHP Isaac Wendler  (Father McGivney, 2026)
Possessing a strong and muscular 6-foot, 200-pound build, Isaac Wendler was impressive on the mound for the Tigers Scout team. The righty threw six full innings only giving up one run and one hit while striking out nine. Mechanically, Wendler has relaxed shoulders and rides his back leg while throwing out of a high 3/4 arm slot.  He hides the ball well in his delivery making it extra difficult for right-handed batters. Wendler shows off a 82-85 mph fastball with a sharp 67-71 mph 12-6 curveball that he consistently throws for strikes. Offensively, Wendler brings a big bat to the plate as he went 1-for-2 with a walk and three RBI’s. Mechanically, he has a wide stance with a toe tap quickly turning on the ball with a compact swing. 

Top Pick Academy Red 2026

LHP Owen Niedzwiecki (Aurora Christian, 2026) 
A 5-foot-7, 149-pound frame, showed well in his start against Outlaws Thursday morning. The left-handed pitcher tossed four innings allowing three runs on four hits, two walks, and three strikeouts. His fastball was sitting 76-79 mph while the curveball was sitting 65-69 mph. Niedzwiecki relied heavily on the fastball, which was a firm one that tended to sink. The curveball had a late break and was used late in counts. A fluid drop and drive motion, that if followed by clean arm action, Niedzwiecki was able to attack early with a command for both pitches. 

MIF Kyle Ziebell (Harvest Christian Academy, 2026)
Athletic, 5-foot-11, 163-pound frame, impressed and produced consistent hard contact out of the leadoff spot during TPA Red’s 9-6 win Friday afternoon. The right-handed bat went 3-for-4 with a pull-side double in the first inning, game-tying pull-side RBI single in the second inning, and an opposite field single in the fifth inning. Showed an ability to keep his hands inside the baseball against velocity on the inside corner, while demonstrating a gap to gap approach throughout at-bats. Utilized a high leg kick, balanced lower half, forceful hip torque, slight back foot scissor kick, flat bat path, and an efficient load. He also displayed proper pitch recognition, rarely expanding his zone on low offspeed pitches. A quality day at the plate for the uncommitted Ziebell, Illinois’ No. 91 overall ranked player.

2B Joshua Luciano (Lincoln Park, 2026)
Luciano would show an impressive bat this past weekend, finding the barrel multiple times throughout the weekend. The right-handed hitter showed an athletic swing with good rhythm throughout, utilizing an aggressive approach. 5-foot-10, 165-pound with present athleticism and strength.

1B Collin Hay (Naperville Central, 2026)
Possessing a strong and athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame. Collin Hay was slugging the ball for the White Sox Elite. The left-handed batter went 3-for-4 on the day that included two line-drive singles to right field and an opposite field triple to left field. Mechanically, Hay has a slightly open stance with a small leg kick and low hands. He has a comfortable presence in the box and a simple smooth swing with slight lift. Hay is quick and aggressive on the base paths as he did not slow down at second base when he hit his triple. 

SS Cooper Page (Naperville Central, 2026)
Atop of the White Sox Elite - Black lineup, Page features an athletic setup at the plate and in the field. Up the middle, Page’s glove plays as he can pick it and has an arm to pair. In the box, Page’s simple, controlled swing kept him on the barrel. Around the field, the R/R middle infielder showed fluid movement patterns within a 5-foot-9, 130-pound frame. 

Windy City

OF Tommy Georgelos (Lyons Township, 2026)
Georgelos would show an intriguing up-the-middle profile with a quality left-handed swing. The rising junior would show a patient approach, looking to create value out of the leadoff spot. Defensively, Georgelos showed rangy actions in center with the speed that translated on both sides of the ball. Athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with present strength.

1B Alek Ramey (Willowbrook, 2026)
Ramey would show an intriguing frame paired with a solid right-handed bat. At the plate, Ramey presents a slightly open, upright stance with a strong barrel coming from a slightly uphill bat path. The rising Junior has plenty of strength within his frame that allows his game to play up. 

C Sebastian Solis (Romeoville, 2026)
5-foot-10, 187-pound frame. Steady defender behind the plate with a clean catch/throw operation. Strong arm that plays accurately with carry. Works to present pitches around the zone. Strong right-handed hitter, controlled and easy operation with loose wrists, flat path through the zone. 

OF Jake Bonino (Willowbrook, 2026)
5-foot-11, 168-pound frame. Impressive right-handed hitter that homered in our brief look. Simple, easy operation that creates leverage throughout his swing, present power to his pull-side with more to come as he continues to fill out. 

RHP Bobby Biggs (Willowbrook, 2026)
6-foot-2, 180-pound frame, high-waist with plenty of room to add strength. The right-hander was dominant in his start, going four innings with one hit, no runs, on walk and five strikeouts, also recording 28/35 pitches for strikes. With a controlled and easy delivery, Biggs worked his fastball in the 80-83 mph range, spotting to both sides of the plate with some carry through the zone. His go-to secondary was a curveball at 65-68 mph, playing with 11/5 shape and depth to collect swing/miss. High-ceiling right-hander to know. 

RHP Jory Crocker  (Willowbrook, 2026)
Possessing an athletic 6-foot-2, 181-pound display with a long lower half, Jory Crocker was shoving on the mound for Windy City. The righty threw 5.1 innings while giving up three runs and striking out six. Crocker has a really high leg kick with a long stride. He throws out of a 3/4 arm slot and has a lot of whip to his arm. Crocker’s fastball was an impressive 83-87 mph topping 89 mph. His firm fastball displayed a lot of spin with some horizontal movement. He complimented his fastball with a 73-74 mph slider that kept hitters off balance. High level athlete on the other side of the ball as well; advanced defender with range to both sides of his glove, soft hands and fluid footwork allow him to make plays with ease in the holes. The right-handed hitter has a simple, easy swing that works to stay up the middle of the field with backspin. Much more to come for the projectable rising junior. 

Wow Factor Stoppers - Newman

LHP Blake Hoffer (Glenbrook South, 2026)  
A filled-out, 6-foot-5, 200-pound built frame, Hoffer impressed on the mound in his start against Top Tier. The lefty was dominating through his entire outing able to collect six strikeouts before being taken out. His fastball was sitting 82-85 mph and the slider was sitting 70-73 mph. The fastball had a late-in-zone movement that paired well with a slider that was able to generate easy swings and misses. Hoffer has a presence on the mound with a loose and fluid arm that attacked hitters early. Generating easy velocity with a good off-speed pitch, Hoffer is a name to watch in the 2026 uncommitted class. 

SS Easton Newman (Deerfield, 2026)
Despite playing through a hamstring injury, Newman showed out this weekend and proved why he is one of the top names in Illinois ‘26 class. At the plate, Newman was consistently on the barrel with quick hands and a confident approach. The athletic, 5-foot-10, 145-pound middle infielder was clean in the field with above average arm strength. Newman’s success at the plate generated runs for Wow Factor across the tournament and impressed against competitive pitching.

RHP Ryan Wollschlager  (St. Laurence, 2026)
Displaying a lengthy and slim 6-foot-3, 160-pound frame with room for growth, Ryan Wollschlager was impressive on the mound for WOW Factor Stoppers. The righty was pounding the zone and hitting the corners in the four innings he pitched. Mechanically, the righty throws out of the slide step in the stretch with a long stride. He fully extends his left arm and short arms his right arm on his delivery. He is loose and relaxed and shows an over-the top arm slot. Wollschlager has a 79-82 mph fastball complemented by a 67-69 mph curveball that has 12-6 break.
