PBRT Rock Open: Takeaways

Throughout this past weekend, our scouting staff got to witness four different classes compete at The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin. At the conclusion of the tournament, we compiled notes and video on some of the standout individuals from this weekend's action.

Check out the numerous names listed below, as we continue an eventful summer on the tournament circuit. 

14U

GRB Stiks Black 14U

RHP/MIF Nicky Vitucci (Whitefish Bay, 2028)
A wiry 5’11” frame, Vitucci moves with fluidity down the slope and compliments that with good arm speed. He uses an over the top arm slot to enhance the wiry frame, which creates an intimidating motion towards the plate. His fastball topped out at 80 mph, and he sat 75-78 mph, with most of his fastballs being at the top end of that range. He also showed a curveball that ranged from 60-62 mph with good depth and garnered swings and misses in the zone.

MIF Eli Hart (Bayport, 2028)
Lean and projectable 6-foot, 155-pound frame, proved to be a strong leadoff hitter. He capped off an already strong weekend by driving a backside double to deep right field to go 1-for-2 in a 12-0 Stiks Black championship victory. He showcased a medium load with loose hands and solid bat-to-ball skills. He also showed well on the other side of the ball, ranging to make several difficult plays at shortstop and second base throughout the tournament. The right-handed hitting middle infielder looks to be a freshman to follow.

INF/RHP Max Webb (Port Washington, 2028)
Agile 5-foot-11, 155-pound-frame, showed well offensively and on the mound on Monday to help GRB Stiks Black to 14U PBT Championship. In the semi-final, Webb threw a complete game holding the opposition to three runs with only two of those being earned in at 5-3 victory. His fastball sat 75-78 mph and was placed around the zone and later in the game he was able to find control of his slider at 68-69 mph to get weak contact. At the plate, he had a strong championship game going 2-for-2 with a drive to deep left for a 2-RBI double and a single for a 3-RBI day. Mechanically, the right handed hitter showed quick hands and no stride. An overall impressive weekend from the freshman.

C Breadon Paczocha (Mukwonago, 2028)
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-right catching prospect. We got our first look at Paczocha earlier at the Madison Summer Rising Stars ID where he came away a winner showing advanced feel to catch-and-throw. At the plate, Paczocha was on the barrel showing the ability to drive the ball across the field going for multiple extra-base hits on the weekend.

INF/OF Max Egan (Whitefish Bay, 2028)
6-foot-1, 165-pounds athletic and versatile prospect that recently impressed at the Madison Summer Rising Stars. The right-handed hitter looks the part in the box, with a simple swing and the ability to find the barrel and drive the ball to the pull side. Defensively, Egan can play multiple positions across the diamond at an advanced level.

Landsharks 14U Black

LHP Jaxon Rinehart (Edwardsburg, 2028)
Coming in at a projectable 6-foot, 150-pound frame, Rinehart threw a complete game gem to help Landsharks 14U Black seal a 5-2 victory in the semi-final on Monday. He had seven innings of work, only allowing one earned run on five hits, one walk, and eight strikeouts. He presented a clean and controlled delivery on the mound, with a loose ¾ arm action. The left-hander sat 75-78 mph and maintained velocity into the seventh inning, his curveball was at 64-65 mph and produced a lot of weak contact. Rinehart looks to be a rising freshman to look out for.

15U

CMB Select 15U

C Victor Lorino (Waukesha West, 2027)
Athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame, collected a couple of hits in CMB’s 6-5 win Friday morning. Going 2-for-2 with a walk and two pull side singles, the left-handed bat demonstrated a consistent pull side approach. Showed quick hands, a short load, minimal stride, and an ability to remain patient for his pitch early in counts. A quality game for Lorino, who presents room for further development.

CRB 2025

SS Luke Yolich (Whitney Young, 2025)
Athletic 5-foot-8, 171-pound frame, showed well on both sides of the ball in CRB’s Saturday afternoon pool-play game. The right-handed infielder went 1-for-3, with an opposite field triple, and completed five defensive putouts. Defensively, displayed smooth footwork, soft hands, and a strong arm from both a sidearm and ¾ slot. Offensively, utilized a gap to gap approach and above average speed on the basepaths. A productive day for Illinois’ No.101 overall ranked prospect.

GRB Rays North Green 15U

RHP Jacob Coisman (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027)
Projectable right-hander who worked in the mid-80s, consistently hitting 86 mph with carry. The four-seam fastball spun at an incredible 2300-2600 rpm, generating swings and misses in the zone. The breaking ball breaks on both planes, landing for strikes and generating whiffs below the zone at 68-73 mph, spinning it at around 2100-2200 rpm. Easy delivery, profiles as a big-time arm as he continues to develop.

OF Ethan Orlando (Bay Port, 2027)
Athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame, was one of the standout 15U bats of the weekend, putting together multiple multi-hit games. He would cap off an already strong weekend by being the offensive spark for GRB Rays North Green in their 7-4 championship victory going 2-for-3 with an RBI-single. The right-handed hitter possessed a strong feel for the barrel and quick bat speed. His strong offensive performance this weekend played a huge part in Rays North Green’s PBT Rock Open championship.

RHP Braun Wotruba (Pulaski, 2027)
5-foot-6, 145-pound frame had a strong outing on the bump Saturday afternoon earning a 5-3 victory. Wotruba worked a two pitch mix that produced 12 strikeouts through 5 ⅔ innings of work. He demonstrated strong command of his fastball throwing it all around the zone sitting at 76-79 mph and his gradual slider at 67-70 mph. Mechanically, he worked quickly with a controlled delivery and a loose ¾ arm slot. Wotruba looks to be a sophomore to follow this next high school season.

GRB Stiks Grey 15U

OF/3B/RHP Timothy Schueller (Marquette University, 2027)
Strong, 5-foot-9, 180-pound frame. Led Stiks to a victory Friday afternoon. Went 2-3 with a single, double, and three RBIs. Strong, quick hands that led to the ball jumping off the bat. Center to pull approach, splitting the left-center gap with his hits. Schueller’s relaxed demeanor showed in the box as well as on the mound. Schueller came on in relief for the Stiks, displaying a fastball in the low 70s, and a breaking ball with 11-5 break. Schueller collected four Ks and zero 0 ERs to help the Stiks secure their 7-6 victory on Friday afternoon.

GRB Stiks Teal 15U

RHP/OF Cooper Haas (Brookfield East, 2027)
Wiry 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. Haas excelled on the mound for his team on Sunday night—capping off a successful weekend for GRB Stiks Teal. The right-hander twirled a shutout over the course of four innings, limiting hard contact while garnering numerous swings and misses within his three-pitch arsenal. Haas worked efficiently—topping his FB out at 79 mph while ranging in the upper-70s throughout. The to-be sophomore demonstrated a comfortable feel for the BB, which he went to often to keep hitters off balance. He gave up two hits during the matchup in bracket play, one of which proved to be an infield hit. Haas struck out seven batters in four innings—advancing his team to the next round while looking the part on the bump.

Illinois Lightning 2027 Lutz

RHP Langston Booth (Loyola Academy, 2027)
The physical 6-foot-2, 190-pound right hander impressed as he helped guide the Lightning to their 5-2 win Friday night. Going five innings and striking out five, three looking and two swinging, he consistently missed barrels and displayed swing and miss stuff. Utilized a two pitch mix, ¾ arm slot, short and whippy arm action, explosive lower body coil, and extension. Fastball regularly overpowered hitters, created late swings, and sat from 83-85 mph with late life in the upper quadrants of the strike zone. Slider was tight and played deceptively off his fastball, tunneling effectively at 75-77 mph. Profiles as a top of the rotation arm with exciting room for development.

RHP/1B Michael Haran (Carmel Catholic - Mundelein, 2027)
Imposing presence in the batters’ box 6-foot-1, 180-pound right handed infielder produced several quality at-bats in the Lightning’s 5-2 win Friday night. Going 2-for-3 with a single up the middle and pull-side triple, he demonstrated a sound gap to gap approach and advanced bat to ball skills. He continued to put together a strong weekend by going 1-for-2 in Saturday’s game with a double to deep left field. Showcased a fluid swing, quick hands, slightly open stance, balanced lower half, aggressive mindset in fastball counts, connected back arm, and flat bat path. His size and arm length allowed for total plate coverage, creating battling and pitch count rising at-bats in the middle of the lineup. An overall quality day for the uncommitted Haran.

Illinois Blue Jays 15U

SS/RHP Bryce Ellens (Glenbard West, 2027)
Ellens presents a young frame and athletic frame. He showcased quality at bats going 1-for-2 with a double against GRB North Yellow. Defensively he has soft hands, good footwork, and the ability to throw from multiple slots.

Illinois Stars Baseball 15U

LHP Cooper Kaczmarek (Lake Zurich, 2027)
Projectable lefty that worked 75-79 mph with the fastball. Also showed a quality changeup with sink and run, keeping hitters off-balance. Smooth delivery, ball comes out clean. Could become a big-time arm as he adds velocity in the coming years.

ISA Royal 15U

C Ethan Hellengreen (Neenah, 2027)
6-foot, 165-pound frame, had a great game offensively and defensively in the victory Saturday morning. Had a two-run HR which helped propel the Royal to a large early inning lead. Strong, relaxed approach in the box along with a fast, smooth swing. Impressive performance defensively as well, showcasing tremendous blocking and good footwork. Allowed very few passed balls which decreased the chances of the opponents’ scoring runs. Displayed a quick pop time with strong, effortless throws, catching two runners stealing. As he continues to develop, the bat and defense will continue to improve, and the 2027 backstop is a name to follow.

MASH 15U Grey

SS/RHP Aniston Khoury (East Ridge, 2027)
Athletic, quick, 5-foot-6, 130-pound frame. Went 3-3 with three singles, one walk, and one RBI in the victory for MASH 15U Grey on Friday morning. Very relaxed and patient approach in the box. Showed off his wheels with his quickness out of the box, as well as on the basepaths. Shows a lot of future potential with room to grow and develop.

2B/SS Joey Gonzaga (East Ridge, 2027)
Athletic, strong, 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame. Went 2-3 with one double, one single, and one sacrifice fly, totaling four RBIs in the victory for MASH 15U Grey on Friday morning. Displayed power in his swing with every at-bat ending with the ball in the outfield. Quick hands, smooth swing combination made his hitting look effortless. Also flashed the leather with some quick reactions and strong throws from the shortstop position. Shows a lot of future potential with room to grow and increase his power.

OF Esten Eckerson (Cottage Grove, 2027)
Athletic, strong, 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame. Went 2-2 with a triple, single, walk, and three RBIs in the victory for MASH 15U Grey on Friday. Showcased his power through his relaxed approach and quick hands, leading to a triple that split the left-center gap, and an RBI single later on. Very tall and strong at his age, and has room for more growth and strength to develop.

Midwest Halos 2027 Muma

OF/2B Isaaq Qureshi (Brookfield Central, 2027)
Athletic, 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame. Went 2-2 with a double, single, walk, and two RBIs in the Halos game on Friday afternoon. Very relaxed and patient in the box. Demonstrated a sound center to pull approach, with fast hands, splitting the left-center gap in both his hits. Flashed the leather in CF as well, displaying quick reactions and fast feet. Has time to develop strength and power which will combine nicely with his quickness in the outfield.

RBA 15U Hissong

2B Cooper Anderson (Rockford Boylan Catholic, 2027)
5-foot-7, 125-pound frame, had a clutch day at the plate in RBA’s 8-0 win Friday night. Going 2-for-3 with four RBI’s and one run scored, including a pair of two RBI singles, putting his team up 3-0 and 7-0 at the time. Utilized a gap to gap approach, short stride, efficient load, and quick hands. Defensively, he also completed four putouts and displayed glove side range.

MIF Austin Bouback (Belvidere North, 2026)
5-foot-4, 115-pound frame, produced multiple quality at-bats Thursday for RBA as he helped them on both sides of the ball in a 4-2 win. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 at the plate getting RBA on the board first with an RBI-double. He would later score and then drive a single past the infield to close out a strong day at the dish. Bouback demonstrated a short stride with direct hands and a flat bat path. Defensively, he showcased strong range, pacing to get multiple tough plays. An overall strong day for the middle infielder.

SS/RHP Michael Davenport (Rockford Boylan Catholic, 2027)
Lean 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame, threw a complete game shutout in RBA’s 8-0 win Friday night. Over six scoreless innings of work he struck out four while walking only one. Escaped a second and third, no out jam with three consecutive strikeouts. Utilized a three pitch mix, over the top arm slot, and leg kick timing variances to throw off hitters and create uncomfortable at-bats. Fastball sat from 69-71 mph, curveball sat from 63-64 mph, and changeup sat from 65-66 mph. All of which created weak contact throughout the outing.

Slammers Black 2027

RHP Brady Buenik (Libertyville, 2027)
Currently the No. 11 ranked prospect in Illinois; No. 208 overall. Buenik continued his upward trend on Saturday as he got the start and punched out seven in a high-upside showing. At 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, Buenik still has an immense amount of room to refine and add to his frame, nicely complemented by the time he has left as a prep player. On the mound, Buenik ran his fastball up to 92 mph and lived at 88-90 mph. The right-handed arm spun a tight, sharp, breaking ball that had the general shape of a curveball but the horizontal movement of a slider - likely donning it as a sweeper. In addition to the breaking pitch, Buenik sparsely mixed in a changeup which came in at 77-79 mph. Overall, the stat line isn’t completely one that reflects the talent Buenik showed, but the ‘27 graduate flashed upside in all facets of his game. Buenik remains a must-know in Illinois’ 2027 class as the to-be sophomore has received, and has warranted, national attention.

C Ryan Wilberding (Libertyville, 2027)
Strong 6-foot, 190-pound frame. Wilberding put together a couple of quality at bats throughout the weekend—making hard contact on numerous occasions for Slammers. Wilberding is listed as the No. 1 catcher in the state of Illinois amongst a pool of 2027 prospects, and looked the part from behind the dish this weekend. After a solid spring, Wilberding showcased his strong arm and quick feet from the catcher position. On Sunday, he threw a runner out and demonstrated his aggressiveness—limiting the running game for his opponents. He also gave an upside look at the plate with a whippy swing—barreling a line drive out to the third baseman. Wilberding will represent Illinois at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games later this summer.

INF Will Mettee (Loyola Academy, 2027)
6-foot, 205-pound frame, contributed offensively with a pair of base hits in the Slammers’ Friday night pool-play game. Presented a center to opposite field approach, going 2-for-3 with an opposite field single and an up the middle RBI single, getting the Slammers on the board. Demonstrated an efficient load, back foot scissor kick, slightly open stance, and quick hands. Profiles as a run producing, middle of the order right-handed bat.

Stars Baseball 2027

C Owen Bates (Stevenson, 2027)
5-foot-8, 170-pound frame. Bates was on the barrel throughout multiple at bats on Thursday, putting together a multi-hit game for Stars Baseball in a win. The left-handed hitter presents a mature swing, working uphill to allow himself to elevate the baseball. He sprayed line drives to all portions of the field to kick off the tournament—including a double to the pull-side and the opposite field. Showed well from behind the plate, too. Bates threw out a runner during the matchup—showcasing a strong, accurate arm that continues to develop as he works through his prep career.

16U

GRB Rays Illinois Yellow 16U

C Sonny Marsalla (Woodstock, 2026)
5-foot-8, 165-pound frame, impacted the game offensively and defensively in the GRB Rays’ Saturday night pool-play game. The right-handed bat demonstrated an opposite field approach, going 2-for-2 with an opposite field triple and a two RBI bloop opposite field double to get GRB on the board in the third inning. Defensively, made two inning changing plays that included back picking a runner at first and a caught stealing at second, both of which ended innings and scoring opportunities. Exhibited feel for angling his posture and consistently deadened balls on blocking attempts; controlled armside framer with a quick transfer on throws. A complete performance from Marsalla with room for further development.

3B/RHP Diego Herrera (Huntley, 2026)
5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, went 3-3 with a double, two singles, 3 RBIs, and a walk in the team’s victory Friday afternoon. Herrera looked very comfortable and relaxed in the box, and displayed a strong center to pull approach. Flashed the leather at the hot corner, including quick reactions and fast, accurate throws across the diamond. Herrera has performed on the mound as well. In past showcases, his fastball topped out at 84.4 MPH, along with a curveball, slider, and changeup to make up a solid pitch mix. Herrera is definitely a name to follow as he develops in the future.

RHP/OF Ethan Riska (McHenry, 2026)
5-foot-10, 155-pound frame, pitched a gem in the team’s victory Friday afternoon. Riska presented a calm, relaxed demeanor on the bump, and it reflected into his performance. Leading with a fastball topping out at 82 MPH, generating multiple swings and misses in the zone with late run. Throwing strikes was not a problem, as Riska approached multiple hitters with a curveball in the low 60s or a slider hovering around 70 to start an at-bat. Easy, effortless delivery combined with great pitch control. Finished the day with nine strikeouts and zero walks. As he continues to develop, the velocities will increase.

GRB Stiks Teal 16U

3B Grady Chvosta (Slinger, 2026)
Athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame, had a productive day at the plate In the Stiks’ 12-0 win Saturday night. Showed a consistent center to pull approach, going 2-for-2 with a pull side two RBI double in the first inning, pull side single in the second inning, and a walk in the fifth inning. He provided another strong showing at the plate on Sunday as well, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a ground-rule double to deep left field, a hit-by-pitch, a single, and another walk. The right-handed bat demonstrated a short stride, efficient load, small back foot scissor kick, and plate discipline, regularly getting deep in counts. Chvosta generated easy power from the middle of the order, helping spark a dominant performance for GRB.

LHP Brayden Abramowski (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2026)
Wiry 6-foot-1, 145-pound frame, cruised in his five scoreless innings of work during the Stiks’ 12-0 win Saturday night. Surrendering only three hits while striking out three, he utilized a pitch to contact approach and generated weak contact throughout the outing. Displayed a long arm swing, ¾ arm slot, upright upper body finish, and a slightly offset first base side stride. Fastball was thrown consistently for strikes and sat from 77-79 mph, topping at 80; backed by a hard 75-76 mph changeup and looping 71-72 mph slider. An overall efficient day on the mound for the left-hander who picked off two runners in the process.

RHP Collin Harrington (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2026)
Wiry 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame, threw a complete game no-hitter in Stiks Teal’s 6-0 win on Sunday. The right-hander went the full seven innings, striking out eight and only allowing two walks in a stellar appearance. Harrington produced a lot of weak contact with his two pitch mix with his fastball sitting 80-82 mph and his curveball at 71-72 mph with 11/5 action. Mechanically, the junior presented a controlled delivery with a loose ¾ arm action. An overall impressive performance from the right-handed pitcher.

Hitters 2026 White 16U

C/OF Nate Anastas (Oak Creek, 2026)
5-foot-9, 160-pound frame, demonstrated solid power at the plate Sunday morning as he left the yard to deep left field in his first at-bat of the game. The right-handed catcher produced a solo home run going 1-for-2 at the plate in Hitters White’s 3-3 tie. Mechanically, Anastas presented loose hands with a tight bat path and a wide base. He also showed well behind the dish as he demonstrated a quick transfer and strong blocking. A productive day for the junior catcher.

RHP/C Grant Manthei (Lake Country Lutheran, 2026)
Efficient delivery with some effort, generating a fastball at 80-83 mph with backspin. His hard slider at 76-77 mph generated whiffs with its short, tight movement. Worked around the zone with a repeatable delivery.

SS/2B Lucas Stapleton (South Milwaukee, 2026)
5-foot-11, 167-pound frame, had some quality at-bats against Revolution Blais 16U. The right handed hitter went 1-for-3 against a tough right handed pitcher. He has a balanced set up at the plate with a simple gap-to-gap approach. Defevensily he has soft hands, range to his glove side, and good footwork that was demonstrated on multiple plays throughout the game. Throws from a high ¾ slot with the ability to throw from multiple slots.

ISA Royal 16U

OF/RHP Quentin Gustman (Kaukauna, 2027)
Projectable, 6-footl 160-pound frame. Gustman had a strong showing this past weekend at The Rock and showed upside at the plate. From the left side, Gustman features a smooth, simple, and controlled swing that was consistently on the barrel. Atop the ISA lineup, Gustman served as a strong contact bat and is an interesting follow in Wisconsin’s 2027 class.

Machina Revolution

OF Gavin King (Loyola Academy, 2026)
6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. King was all over the barrel across the weekend and showed especially well on Friday afternoon. The right-handed bat displayed power as he was able to launch a ball out of Frame Park. King would continue to hit throughout the contest with multiple XBH’s that sought the outfield gaps. King possesses above average power that was on display, but also showed good contact ability and adjusted well to different counts and pitches. King also had a CG against the Hitters 2026 White on the mound. The four-seam was sitting 83-85 mph and topping out at 86 mph. The slider was efficient throughout the whole game at 72-74 mph. He finished the game with 10 punch outs, 1 hit, and 0 earned runs.

MASH 16U Grey

SS/RHP Lucas Druppel (Lakeville North, 2026)
Listed at 5-foot-8, 150 pounds, Druppel possess a lean build with present strength throughout. The right-handed two-way showed well as an athlete all-around the field this weekend. At the plate, Druppel was consistently on the barrel with XBHs scattered around the field. Once on base, he showed intelligence on the base paths and was inherently quick as well. On the mound, Druppel tossed three total innings without allowing a hit or run. In two brief stints, he ran his fastball up to 81 mph which was accompanied by a smooth, athletic, and repeatable delivery.

Marengo Outlaws 16U

MIF Landon Niedzweiedzki (Hononegah, 2026)
Strong, 6-foot, 170-pound frame, went 3-4 with three singles and three RBIs for the Outlaws on Saturday afternoon. Speedy hands and smooth bat path. Hit the ball to both sides of the field. Relaxed, calm approach, able to work counts until a favorable pitch is there to jump on. Power potential, splitting both gaps in the outfield. Performed well in the 5-hole, and is a great player to have at-bat with RISP.

Oshkosh Aces 16U

SS Jackson Anderson (Oshkosh North, 2026)
5-foot-10, 140-pound frame, showed well in the Aces’ 9-1 win Friday afternoon. The right-handed bat went 1-for-3 with a pull side RBI single to put his team up 3-1 at the time. Showcased a fluid swing, toe tap for timing, back foot scissor kick, and a flat bat path. Defensively, he completed two putouts, displaying soft hands and clean footwork in the process.

C Colton Hagner (Laconia, 2025)
Durable, 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame. Hagner was a key piece of the Oshkosh Aces’ team that were crowned champions this past weekend. The right-handed catcher was all over the barrel throughout pool and bracket play, showing a knack for spraying the gap. Hagner had some clutch hits, but nothing topped his final one of the tournament. Tied at one in the bottom of the seventh inning in the championship game, Hagner launched a no-doubt, three-run, walk-off home run to left field. In all, Hagner’s performance on Monday was a symbol of what he did throughout the weekend and capped a strong showing in front of our staff.

Prestige Baseball Woods

RHP/OF James Iles (Andrew, 2026)
6-foot, 167-pound frame, showed well in the box and on the bump in the Woods’ 9-0 victory Friday night. In the box, showcased a fluid swing with quick hands, and a flat basepath. Went 3-4 with a double, two singles, and two RBIs. On the bump, presented a relaxed demeanor, throwing a complete game shutout with six strikeouts. Fastball hovered in the high 70s, topping out at 81 MPH. Generated swings and misses with his changeup in the low 70s, as well as his curveball in the high 60s. A dynamic player that is able to perform well at the plate and on the mound.

Prospect Training Academy White 16U

SS/OF Aaron Zuber (Whitnall, 2026)
5-foot-8, 140-pounds, was a force at the plate in PTA’s victory Saturday afternoon. Going 3-4 with a double, two singles, a walk, and an RBI, Zuber’s switch hitting ability shined from both sides of the plate, displaying his ability to easily get on base. Very quick hands, and smooth bat path, and able to hit the ball anywhere on the field. Shined on defense as well, demonstrating quick reactions with strong throws from the shortstop position. Development will help Zuber improve, and he is a switch-hitting bat to follow.

Top Tier Nationals 16U

3B Tommy Estock (Homewood-Flossmoor, 2026)
6-foot-1, 170-pound frame, had a quality couple of plate appearances in Top Tier’s 6-5 win Saturday night. Contributed, going 2-for-3 with an opposite gap double in the and hustle infield single, adding a run scored and stolen base. Utilized a flat bat path, quick hands, gap to gap approach, and balanced lower half. A productive game for the right-handed bat.

OF Greyson Davis (Hinsdale Central, 2025)
Tall, strong, 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame was a strong performer in the Nationals 9-0 victory on Sunday afternoon. Launched the ball deep into the outfield, going 2-3 with a single, two doubles, and 5 RBIs. His only out was a lineout to the CF warning track Quick hands, smooth swing, with strong center to pull side approach. Able to keep his head down while making contact, with a quick approach out of the box from the tall Davis. Showed off the power with the possibility of home runs almost guaranteed. Davis is a name to follow this summer and as he enters his senior year.

West Fargo Aces

SS/RHP Jett Collins (West Fargo-Horace, 2026)
Proportionally athletic 6-foot, 177-pound frame, had a quality start and forced consistent weak contact in the Aces’ Saturday afternoon pool-play game. Over five and ⅔ innings of work he struck out three and surrendered two hits. Demonstrated an advanced feel for his breaking pitches, regularly throwing his curveball as a get me over pitch early in counts and putaway pitch with two strikes. Showed a ¾ arm slot, upright finish, and a short and fast arm action. Fastball was lively and sat from 79-81 mph, topping at 82; backed by the 2/8 curveball at 66-68 mph and changeup with armside run at 71-73 mph. A strong performance from the right-hander.

Chicago Warriors Green 2025

RHP Gavin Addison (Latin School of Chicago, 2025)
6-foot-1, 178-pound frame, showcased a strong outing on the bump for Chicago Wariors Green in their 5-4 victory on Friday. The right-hander threw five strong innings, totalling eight strikeouts, and only allowing two runs on five hits. He showcased solid swing-and-miss stuff with his pitch mix. He demonstrated solid command with his fastball at 80-83 touching 84 mph, and goto offspeed pitch was a 12/6 curveball at 68-70 mph. Mechanically worked downhill with a high ¾ arm slot. An overall quality start from the uncommitted right-handed pitcher.

Eau Claire A’s 17U Blue

SS Cole Perlberg (Chippewa Falls, 2025)
Long-levered 6-foot-2, 180-pound-build, showcased quality tools on both sides of the ball. Perlberg was one of the most impressive bats of the tournament, putting together multiple multi-hit days including a 2-run home run in the semi-final on Monday. Mechanically, Perlberg utilized a wide base with loose hands and a quick trigger. On the defensive side of the ball, he showed quick hands getting rid of the ball quickly, and strong agility as he ranged to make several difficult plays throughout the weekend. The uncommitted shortstop looks to be a high-follow prospect.

RHP Ben Mettler (Eau Claire North, 2025)
Lean 6-foot-3, 160-pound frame, had a strong showing on the mound going six innings of hitless baseball only allowing three walks and obtaining four strikeouts. His appearance was strong enough to earn Eau Claire A’s Blue a 6-0 victory on Friday. He utilized a three pitch mix with his fastball sitting 79-82 mph for most of the game, a sharp biting curveball at 65-67, and a changeup at 72-73. Mechanically, he provided a high leg lift with a controlled delivery and landed in line with home plate. An overall impressive outing for the uncommitted right-hander.

Illinois Lightning Gando 17U

OF/RHP Jackson Murphy (Wauconda, 2025)
Defined 6-foot, 190-pound frame, threw a strong outing in the Lightning’s 6-1 win Saturday morning. The right-hander went four and ⅓ innings, striking out two, and giving up only one run. Displayed a long and winding arm swing, ¾ arm slot, offset third base side lean and stride, flexible lower half, big leg kick, and an ability to get down the mound fast. Fastball forced late swing, showed carry, and sat from 85-86 mph, topping at 88; backed by a putaway 12/6 curveball at 75-77 mph that was thrown for strikes early in counts. Though he struggled with walks throughout the outing, the uncommitted Murphy battled out of jams and avoided barrels regularly.

OF Ryan Fostiak (Wauconda, 2025)
Athletic 5-foot-9, 180-pound frame, produced quality at-bats en route to the Lightning’s 6-1 win Saturday morning. The right-handed bat went 2-for-4 with an RBI and pair of singles, eventually putting the finishing touches on his team’s win by driving in their final run of the game. Exhibited an open stance, medium leg kick, minimal load, and a pull side approach. Showcased above average speed, consistently taking the extra base and adding a stolen base. A productive day for the uncommitted Fostiak.

Illinois Premier - Suchor

RHP/3B Colin Meyers (Plainfield North, 2025)
Strong, imposing, 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame, came on in relief in the team’s victory Saturday afternoon. Tall and strong, consistently filled up the zone with challenging pitches. Fastball topped out at 85 MPH with some late run, paired with a curveball around 70 MPH and a changeup in the mid-to-high 70s. Short-arm windup threw hitters off balance. Struck out seven of the first nine batters he faced, with zero walks. Ran into some trouble in the last half inning, allowing a few hits, earned runs, and walks. Will continue to grow stronger as he continues to develop.

Forceout Baseball 17U

OF/RHP Brandon Briesemeister (Oak Creek, 2025)
6-foot-1, 140-pound frame displayed the power in the Forceout’s victory early Sunday morning. Strong, relaxed approach in the left-handed box, with power that seemed effortless. Smooth bat path with quick hands. Went 2-3 with a three-run HR, and an RBI single later in the game, totaling RBIs on the day. Only out was a deep flyout to CF that just missed being his second HR of the game. Had a tremendous outing on the mount in relief as well. Throwing four innings of shutout baseball, with four strikeouts and three walks. Fastball sat in the low 80s with a curveball around 70 MPH. A strong hitter to keep an eye on as he enters his senior year.

OF Matthew Gruber (Union Grove, 2025)
6-foot, 173-pound frame. Gruber is a left-left outfielder that can play center field. Gruber is an athlete that continues to perform well in front of our staff. The 62nd ranked prospect in Wisconsin’s incoming senior class performed well throughout the weekend. Gruber’s athleticism was also on display patrolling center field throughout the weekend using his speed to track down the baseball in the outfield taking efficient routes.

OF Eli Francour (Greenfield, 2025)
6-foot, 175-pound frame. Francour was recently a standout performer at the Milwaukee Summer ID, in part because of his production at the plate in the showcase setting. It translated to live action for the to-be senior, as Francour notched a hit right away in Forceout’s first game of the tournament—carrying his momentum from a strong spring. The outfielder is a scrappy defender with a strong arm. He posted exit velocities in the low-90s within prior showcases—demonstrating the power he possesses from the right side of the plate.

GRB Stiks Grey 17U

OF Tyler Vetch (New Berlin West, 2025)
Lean 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, accumulated a pair of productive base hits in GRB’s Friday morning pool-play game. The right-handed bat showed an opposite field approach and power, going 2-for-2 with a two RBI opposite field single in the first inning and an opposite field double in the third inning. Showcased a toe tap for timing, long stride, forceful hip torque, and a quiet upper body. A productive day for the uncommitted Vetch, profiling as a middle of the order bat.

GRB STiKS Teal 17U

C PJ Hamel (Arrowhead, 2025)
Currently the 42nd-ranked prospect in Wisconsin, Hamel had a strong showing this weekend at the plate and flashed traits behind the plate as well. The right-handed catcher features a wide setup that works down to the ball and was on the ball all weekend. Behind the dish, Hamel threw a runner trying for second with a 2.1 second pop time. Hamel is also a willing and active blocker that was aggressive in using his arm to any base.

GRB STiks White

1B/RHP William Grellinger (Marquette University, 2025)
Strong 6-foot-2, 189-pound frame. Grellinger is a multi-sport athlete who put together a quality season for the Hilltoppers this spring before entering the summer circuit. At the plate, Grellinger has been one of the top producers for GRB Stiks White early on—maintaining that momentum with a solid barrel up the middle on Sunday. Presents a quiet stance in the box, featuring a quick trigger to get into his load before getting into his swing. Grellinger moved well at the first base position, too. The right-hander has been clocked at 83 mph in past showcases on the bump, and emerged as one of Marquette University’s top arms this spring—throwing a no-hitter in the process. He will be making an appearance at the Wisconsin State Games in late July.

LHP/OF Cooper Haas (Waukesha North, 2025)
Strong, athletic frame, standing at 5-foot-11, and 170-pounds. Haas collected three singles with four RBIS in the GRB Stiks White victory Friday morning. Very relaxed in the box, working counts until he got his pitch. Ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field. Arm strength was also on display through his defense in RF. The left-hander has been clocked at 82 mph in past showcases on the mound. Haas also has displayed a curveball with late break, along with a slider and changeup to put together a solid four-pitch mix.

RHP Nate Szuta (Waukesha West, 2025)
Developed 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame, showcased an impressive performance on the mound Thursday, pitching GRB Stiks White to a 6-2 victory. Szuta demonstrated strong command of his three pitch mix utilizing a fastball at 79-82, a 2243-2376 rpm slider at 69-71 that produced missed swings, and an above average changeup at 72-73 mph. Mechanically, he showed a medium leg kick with a drop and drive delivery and a whippy ¾ arm action. An overall strong performance from the uncommitted right-handed pitcher.

ISA ROYAL 17U

RHP Ian Aoki (Ashwaubenon, 2025)
Aoki was dominant in his start against the Illinois lightning Saturday afternoon, throwing a four inning complete game with five strikeouts and only allowing one hit and one run. The right hander used a two pitch mix, fastball and curveball. The fastball was 81-84 and the curveball was 68-69. Aoki made hitters off balance throughout the game because he was able to locate both pitches in any count. The right hander held Belo throughout the game and was able to limit barrels. Aoki is a strong 6-foot, 206-pound pitcher that is a name to follow in Wisconsin’s 2025 class.

C Dimitry Edmunds (Appleton West, 2025)
5-foot-6, 176-pound frame. Edmunds came away a big winner on the weekend, hitting out of the leadoff spot Edmunds was on the barrel throughout the weekend going for multiple multi-hit games. Edmunds also showed the ability to drive the ball going for multiple extra-base hits including two home runs on the weekend. Defensively behind the plate, Edmunds showed quality catch-and-throw ability and will be able to stay behind the plate at the next level.

RHP Loren Georger (Appleton West, 2025; Baylor commit)
6-foot-1, 193-pound frame. The Baylor commit struck out five batters across four innings in his first outing of the weekend, on Monday, he struck out another four batters in three innings. Mostly two-pitches across each outing, his fastball topped out at 88 mph in both outings and was able to hold his velocity throughout each outing. Georger went to his swing-and-miss breaking ball as his primary secondary pitch, showing confidence to throw it over the plate for strikes and as a putaway pitch.

OF Jackson Neilitz (Plymouth, 2025)
At 6-foot-1, 192-pounds the strong outfielder had an impressive performance at the plate Saturday where he went two-for-two with three RBIs and three runs. He was able to show gap to gap power when he doubled to left on an inside pitch scoring two runners, later in the game Neilitz struck a line drive to the right fielder on a tough pitch on the outside half allowing another run to score. Neilitz showed off his barrel control throughout the game as well as his power. Consistently on the barrel all day. Neilitz currently stands as the third ranked outfielder in the class of 2025 in the state of Wisconsin. Definitely a name to keep an eye on in this strong class.

INF Brayden Steinbecker (Manitowoc Lincoln, 2025)
6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. The former future gamer was a steady performer throughout the weekend. At the plate, the right-hander has continued to show his feel to hit, being on the barrel throughout the weekend collecting multiple hits. Defensively Steinbecker is a steady defender on the left-side of the diamond making every play his way.

1B Ryan Stephen (Sheboygan South, 2025)
Built 6-foot-1, 211-pound frame Stephen powered his team to a win where he showed off his power to both fields. Finishing the game two for two with an impressive opposite field three run home run as well as a RBI double to left center. Stephen had four RBIs and two runs in the game. The strong middle of the order bat was barreling each pitch that was thrown to him during the game and executing in clutch situations. The right handed hitter is a name to follow as he continues to be on the rise for this 2025 class.

OF Trevor Vande Hey (Wrightstown, 2025)
Iowa commit, 6-foot, 199-pound frame and is one of the top athletes in the state. At the plate, the right-hander was getting pitched around throughout the weekend rarely seeing fastballs throughout his at-bats. In the final game Vande Hey connected on a low breaking ball, sending it halfway up the wall in left field for a double. The ball jumps off of the barrel as he can generate easy power, swinging with very little perceived effort. Defensively, Vande Hey made his presence felt in the outfield all weekend making numerous plays as well as showing off his arm strength from the outfield.

ISA Black 17U

RHP Gavin Brady (Bay Port, 2025)
Athletic 5-foot-9, 167-pound frame, produced a four inning shutout in ISA Black’s 12-0 victory on Sunday. Brady had six strikeouts on the day only allowing three hits as he cruised to an easy win. The right-hander filled the zone well and kept hitters off-balance by working quickly on the mound. His fastball had run through the zone and sat 79-81 mph consistently maintaining velocity throughout his appearance. His curveball at 68-70 mph, had gradual break and produced several swings-and-misses. Mechanics wise, he presented a controlled rhythmic delivery with a high leg kick and a drop and drive finish. An overall impressive outing for the uncommitted Brady.

MASH 17U Grey

OF/3B Joseph Larson (Farmington, 2025)
Athletic, 5-foot-8, 138-pound frame, squared up a pitch for a triple in MASH 17U Grey’s game on Friday morning. Quick hands, smooth swing, very relaxed in the left-handed batters box. Made great contact in every plate appearance despite only picking up the one hit. Displayed great speed out of the box.

MASH 17U White

MIF Payton Topel (Farmington, 2025)
Wiry 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame, produced hard contact and quality at-bats in Mash’s Friday afternoon pool-play game. The right-handed bat went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a pair of pull side singles. Demonstrated a sound center to pull approach, speedy hands, small leg kick and stride, balanced lower half, connected back arm, and still head at the point of contact. The uncommitted Topel profiles as a top of the order on base threat.

RBA 17U Schrank

1B/3B Alec Schoonhoven (Forreston, 2025)
Wiry 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame, showcased strong bat-to-ball skills this weekend. Schoonhoven provided an intriguing look throughout the tournament going 1-for-2 with a triple to deep left field on Thursday and 2-for-3 on Friday with a single and a double. The agile right-handed hitter utilized his speed multiple times throughout the weekend as well making several ranging plays in the field and turning a bloop hit into a double. He showed direct hands and a short stride with a good feel for the barrel. The uncommitted corner infielder looks to be an interesting name to follow.

Rebels Baseball 17U

MIF/RHP Onyu Lee (Franklin, 2025)
5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Lee’s stock has risen over the past couple of months, as he emerged as the leadoff hitter for a quality Franklin program down the stretch in 2024. After being referenced multiple times throughout the spring, our staff got our first look at the uncommitted junior on Thursday. Lee is a scrappy top-of-the-order bat with above average speed, using a consistent trigger to spray line drives to all gaps. Has a quick barrel and repeatable approach at the plate—making him a tough out in every plate appearance. Lee is an athletic mover on the mound, too. His FB ranged in the upper-70s, yet it was effective in a winning effort. While our staff did not see him on the infield on Thursday, Lee made a couple of plays on the mound that demonstrated his athleticism and accurate arm. He remains a rising uncommitted prospect in Wisconsin’s 2025 class entering his senior year as a Saber.

Stars 17u

C Turner Kuhnke (Hortonville, 2025; Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit)
Strong 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame. Kuhnke entered the tournament as one of the top prospects to know in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, looking the part as a strong batter at the plate and a quality defender from behind the dish. Kuhnke accumulated a couple of barrels throughout the weekend—showcasing easy power to the opposite field. He has shown the ability to spray line drives to all gaps in the past without skipping a beat this past weekend. Kuhnke flashed a pop time of 2.08 seconds in game, continuing to excel from behind the plate before entering his senior season. Our staff will get another look at the Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit this upcoming weekend at the PBRT Wisconsin Open.

Top Tier Nationals 17U

C/RHP Peter Ensign (Barrington, 2025)
5-foot-6, 140-pound frame was an on-base machine in the leadoff spot in the team’s game on Saturday evening. Went 3-3 with three singles, all to different areas of the field. Quick hands and patient approach allowed him to wait for the pitch he wanted to jump on and shoot it into the outfield. Quick out of the box with great footwork. Ensign is a great leadoff hitter and was able to get on-base every at-bat in a game that was more of a pitchers’ duel.

Top Tier South Stanford

3B/RHP Pablo Herrera (Plainfield South, 2025)
Athletic 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, impressed on the mound in Top Tier’s 4-2 win Saturday afternoon. Going four innings of two run ball and striking out two, he missed barrels and avoided consistent hard contact. The right-hander was a fluid mover with a ¾ arm slot and whippy arm action. Fastball showed carry and sat from 84-85 mph, topping at 87. He mixed in a tight slider that was thrown for strikes at 76-79 mph, and the occasional changeup sitting from 77-80 mph. The uncommitted Herrera should be a player to monitor as he enters his senior year season, currently ranked as Illinois’ No.168 overall ranked prospect.

C/3B Griffin Zweeres (Morris, 2025)
Sturdy 5-foot-10, 205-pound frame, had a clutch day at the plate en route to Top Tier’s 4-2 win Saturday afternoon. The right-handed bat went 4-for-4 with two RBI’s, including a pull side single, two up the middle singles, and a game tying two RBI pull side double in the fifth inning. Showed a slightly open stance, quick hands, forceful hip torque, flat bat path, and an ability to keep his weight back on offspeed. The uncommitted Zweeres profiles as a middle of the order, run producing bat.

MIF Ximi Baftiri (Morris, 2025; Evansville commit)
Strong 6-foot, 185-pound frame. Baftiri recently committed to Evansville, and looked the part on Thursday as one of the top players on the diamond for Top Tier South Stanford in a winning effort. The to-be senior has a quick swing with easy power to the pull-side—barreling up multiple pitches over the course of his 3-for-3 performance at MATC. The right-handed took advantage of strikes when he saw them, emerging as a quality table-setter for his team. On the infield, Baftiri is a smooth defender with an accurate arm—playing a solid second base during his time on the diamond to kick off the tournament.

Wow Factor Stoppers - Freeman

LHP Riley Blackwell (John Hersey, 2025)
Lean 6-foot-1, 182-pound frame, guided the Stoppers to their 5-4 win Saturday afternoon, throwing a complete game over seven innings pitched. He would go on to strike out seven, six swinging and one looking, allowing five hits, and walking zero. Uniquely using a changeup as a primary pitch, hitters were often off balance and swung over pitches early in counts. Displayed a ¾ arm slot, long arm swing, deep back leg sink and drive, and worked from the extreme third base side of the rubber. Circle-chanegup sat from 72-74 mph with armside run and dip; backed by a true 10/5 curveball that was used as a putaway pitch sitting from 68-70 mph, and the fastball sitting from 80-82 mph. An advanced feel for locating offspeed for the left-handed Blackwell.

C/3B Matteo Nolasco (Stevenson, 2025)
Strong, 6-foot, 195-pound frame, demonstrated his power in the Stoppers’ 11-1 victory Saturday evening. Nolasco drove in 5 RBIs on three doubles that all bounced off the outfield wall in left field and left center. Strong, powerful frame made his swing look effortless. Has shown strong defensive skills behind the plate in past showcases as well, with a quick pop time and strong arm. The uncommitted Nolasco is definitely a name to follow as he enters his senior year.

Wow Factor Stoppers - Newman

LHP Blake Hoffer (Glenbrook South, 2026)
Imposing 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame. Hoffer is fresh off of a strong spring for Glenbrook South and showed promise on the mound, despite allowing a couple of runs during his outing. The left-stander has a strong frame, and delivers each pitch with ease. Despite working in and out of jams early on, Hoffer settled in nicely and nearly allowed his team to make a comeback. He reached 84 mph multiple times with the FB—holding low-80s velocity for the entire time. Hoffer landed a BB and flipped a deceptive CH, each of which kept his opponent off of the barrel. He racked up six strikeouts in 3.1 IP, despite battling some command issues. Hoffer currently ranks at No. 83 in Illinois’ 2026 class as an upside left-hander on the bump.

RHP Bo Anselmi (Hersey, 2025)
6-foot, 212-pound frame. Anselmi tossed 3.2 innings striking out five batters with a two-pitch mix. Mostly fastballs sitting 84-86 mph throughout his outing, went to a low-70s breaking ball often that he would use as a putaway pitch. Anselmi showed some ability to repeat his delivery and maintaining direction to the plate, his arm action plays with quickness out front.
